First time trying Levain and it did not disappoint. Even though I knew the cookies were huge, I was still taken by surprise just how hefty it was. I got the two chip chocolate chip cookie and the dark chocolate chip cookie, as well as a mocha with oat milk ($1 extra). The cookies were AMAZING, I especially enjoyed the dark chocolate chip cookie. They were crunchy on the outside, a little soft on the inside with ooey gooey melty chocolate chips. It was absolutely divine. The mocha was also delicious, I asked for extra simple syrup (also another $1) and it was perfect. Service was excellent, they were very helpful and kind. No line when I went, and there were a couple tables to sit at, but the parking is atrocious so we couldn't stay.

Whatever you thought a chocolate chip cookie was.....erase it and start all over. This place will make you reconsider your entire cookie memory. The service was above par. Very clean and organized. The cookies were....I mean nothing short of top tier. I don't know what else to say. Spend the money. Enjoy the calories. Live your life. Cookies are life.

Ah Levains, the perfect way to indulge especially during the holidays. This location is smaller than the Larchmont one. There's no display table for merch and I didn't see a tote bag. But it's all about the sweets. My favorites are the signature Chocolate Chip Walnut, which oozes with chips and Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter chips. Love the limited flavor White Chocolate Macadamia, too. The other limited Dark Chocolate Peppermint, Good to try something new but the mint flavor overpowers the chocolate. The Oatmeal Raisin scone is very good and big, like their cookies. The scone was crunchy on the outside, crumbly on the inside, not cakey. Great price, too, for $4.25. They have other pastries but their cookies are irresistible. Service was great and personable. You can either order from an employee or use an iPad (after downloading an app I think). And now they have a few sandwiches, which looked appetizing! Here's a huge plus - parking is a breeze! Pleasantly surprised by the free two-hour parking garage on the same side of the street. Metered parking, too. Very small seating area inside and out. Outside makes for great people watching on this quiet, pedestrian friendly street. Thank you for opening in Beverly Hills!

A friend had these cookies delivered to him and he was raving about all the flavors that he tried. I checked out their site and saw a couple I would consider trying, so when I saw the storefront over on Bevelry-across from Chaumont-it was a no-brainer to try them out. Looking around, I decided to go with the: -dark chocolate peanut butter chip -two chip chocolate chip -chocolate chip brioche These cookies are BIG. There is a lot to them, so the price is almost worth the size of the cookie alone. I couldn't finish any of these in one sitting. To be honest, I thought they were okay; but I did favor the dark chocolate peanut butter one. As for the brioche, I would skip this; didn't really enjoy this at all but it did look good which is what made me cave in. Other options are flatbreads and sandwiches, and the tomato parmesan flatbread looked particularly good, something to possibly try next time. The four stars primarily goes to the staff; service from Ruth was A+++! Park at a meter if you can get one, or the garage is on same side of the street a block south.

I did not realize that what lies behind the pearly gates is- Levain!!! Hail to the banana chocolate bread, which was not too sweet with the perfect amount of dark chocolate and so moist. It was a heavenly pairing with my coffee and surprisingly also with my Brazilian port!! The dark chocolate peanut butter cookie redefines what death by chocolate should taste like. My friend had what I believe was the double dark chocolate chip, but why get stuck on semantics? Anything here will be worth the blood sugar spike and will make you so happy. And OC can rejoice! There will be another location coming to Newport soon. Service was fast and helpful. This location has 2 outdoor tables but otherwise is more of a pick up location. Coffee is also served

Chocolate coffee toffee. Please try it. Don't blame me if you're addicted. As always the best cookies but this seasonal one is incredible. Not too sweet but rich and decadent. All cookies baked fresh and goes well with any beverage of chiice. Service amazing parking ain't bad. Delivery even faster

Excited to try Levain Bakery - I've been to NYC bakery in upper west side. Ordered the double chocolate chip and the coconut caramel cookie - both excellent. Lots of chocolate chips, thick and gooey. I love Levain!

finally open! I've been waiting for Levain BH to open for many many many many months. this location is just down the street from where I work. I'm thrilled I can easily access this iconic cookie that originated in NYC, where my sister would always bring them to LA when she'd visit home. my favorite is the original. I don't need any other cookie. no seasonals, no new flavors, just the classic Levain and I'm good! the store is beautifully designed, with a classic and clean design. staff was cheerful and friendly. I knocked off one star because I had hoped they had decaf espresso beverages (I can't have caffeine in the afternoon, sadly), and also because their cookies have shrunk by at least 1/4 of the size of their original offering. in my humble opinion, the smaller size changes the texture of the cookie as a whole, since there's more crisp on the outside, and leaving less soft tender cookie in the middle. other than this, I am still a fan of this NYC institution!

I'm a huge Levain Bakery fan and was so happy when they started opening up in Los Angeles! I was surprised to see no line at the Beverly Hills store. It's much smaller than the one in Larchmont but the cookies are just as delicious! I got a two chip chocolate chip cookie, dark chocolate peanut butter cookie and a chocolate chip brioche. I reheated the cookies, so the chips were melty. If you like cookie dough, you'll love these cookies. They are big and rich - great for sharing. The chocolate chip brioche makes for a nice sweet breakfast or afternoon snack. Free parking in the public lot down the street.

Very good cookies. Zero line when I went in. The cookies are very good and flavorful on the inside. Workers need to be a bit more friendly, maybe a smile here or there other than that def recommend checking this place out, worth trying if you've never been + also based off their reputation for being yummy

Employees at this location were rude and hostile to us wanting to pay with cash. Said they would accept cash and then did not want to change a $100 bill. We went across the road to Chaumont. No issues. Won't return.

For one month only, if you love peanut butter and dark chocolate, get the peanut butter and dark chocolate cookie! Only in the BH location :) Did I wake up at 6am for cookies? Yes and don't regret it because it wasn't any other Friday! It was Levain's Grand Opening at 8am! I lined up at 7am and was already about the 25th in line! It didn't feel like I waited an hour, with so much good community vibes, everyone was socializing and talking to each other. The staff was super nice and making conversation with everyone. The ribbon cutting was also fun to watch, as I'm sure all the staff were proud of that moment after so much hard work. For the first 100 people got a swag tote bag that said "I heart Beverly Hills", that contained a branded dad hat, stickers, keychain, and socks. For the first few in line, a manager came out and offered coffee and lattes which was very nice. So $6 for a cookie?! I was skeptical it's not just any cookie, it's a big cookie that's crunchy in the outside and soft in the inside. It's my fav kind of cookie! Great for splitting and sharing with your loved one, bestie, or a new friend! Other baked goods, coffee drinks, bread and pastries offered as well. Metered parking in front, nearby garage with 2 free hour parking and 1 hour residential parking around. Congrats Levain team and welcome to BH!

I am so glad to see them expanded and opening closer to home! Their new bakery is gorgeous and the service is wonderful. They have some of the best cookies around, but don't sleep on their bread either! Everything is made fresh throughout the day and the cookies are perfect for sharing! Metered parking as well as two our free parking right around the corner. Highly recommend recommended if you are looking for a delicious pick me up!

There is also some street parking available, though it can be a bit difficult to find an open spot. Service at this location is okay, sometimes good and friendly and other times not so much. It doesn't bother me too much since I don't interact with them very often though. I usually order online and pick up at the counter, which I find much more convenient. Recently, I believe they extended the delivery area on the map to LA, but I haven't gotten the chance to try that out yet. They often run offers and promotions on their app, so I definitely recommend ordering online. You can also add a sticker to your cup when ordering online (if you draw your own it takes about a day to get it approved)! The interior is pretty small, so more of a grab-n-go, and it has a nice modern, clean aesthetic. The drinks are consistently pretty great! My go‑to orders are the Mango Coconut Boom and the Mango Grapefruit Boom. Super refreshing and fruity and the grapefruit adds a little tart, sour kick to the mango. I also really like the Triple Supreme Matcha and I recently tried the new seasonal King Jasmine Guava, and it wasn't bad at all too (the stickers are also super cute). Overall, really happy that this location opened, and the drinks are super good and keep me coming back.

It is pricey (maybe the priciest out there) but every element of the experience is top tier and you get what you pay for. The sandwiches, scones, and pastries are actually high quality and delicious. The scones are my favorite and not dry at all, it's served with clotted cream, lemon curd, and a berry jam - absolutely delicious. There's a lot of tea choices to choose from that will cater to a variety of tastes. The ambiance is what sets this afternoon tea apart from the rest. There's a live harpist! The breeze knows this and thus its best to control itself because it knows its place in relation to this girl. If you make the decision, I recommend going on a day where you can absorb the classy and elegant (that slightly borders on stiff traditionally) vibe because no one deserves to have a troubled mind when enjoying luxurious tea. It is like a big sports guy, going to the Super Bowl, when back home they have a leaky faucet that is near full rupture but he cannot do anything until Monday. How is he suppose to enjoy viewing a fumble or bouncing cheerleaders or a roaring crowd with costumed fans, if there is a drip drip of worry in his mind that he cannot wrench into closing. I guess, this space is like a zen garden, where one goes to be present, not just to checkmark a daily meal. I say all that because I was silent for long moments, and I apologized to Ronnie for not engaging in conversation. And she said, "I understand, you are taking it all in." So this place is also a gallery of fancy, where one experiences tea in the cushions of Beverly Hills rarefied air. When I was there, I saw a large group of girls attending a baby shower. To me, it was a like small movie scene. All of them were gathered in a group, like lilies in a special patch, looking all pretty in nice dresses, long flowing hair, and were all smiles and refined in movement, taste and persona. I wondered why they were talking about? Ronnie anchored me back to reality and said, they are probably just catching up, just like us. She makes a good point--- a baby shower in a fancy tea room, is no different than a baby shower held in a back yard. Every one is there to give well-wishes and gifts, eat good food, and chat. There are obvious ways in which these two experiences are different but at their core they were the same: a group of people gathering to celebrate a coming child. One place just does it with white linens ironed to precious quality, while the other is limited to folded tables set up carefully so they don't break. I share this so that the reader knows that this place is so fancy, that I felt like I did not just have tea, I more felt like I was in a place that redefined fancy for me, and that in itself, is worth more than the 150.00 dollars I paid to sip rose tea. But still I would not do it again, because to sip rose tea and be pampered like a princess cost me 150.00 dollars. To translate this into a Yelp message: Go as a once in a life time experience to understand how the 1 percent enjoys their tea, and hopefully that adds to all that shapes your perspective of the world. I want to truly stress, that this slow moving experience, in a wondrous way, redefined what fancy is because I never saw fancy be effortless lazy yet still be extravagant and gorgeous. I was a guy there. There was another guy there, enjoying tea alone. But everyone else read female. So this place is women centered because who is taught to have tea parties at a young age? I mean there is no tea party with cups that show the Hulk and Iron man. So this is. a girlie fantasy. Look at my pictures, even though there are few one can see pink ribbons, floral patterns, precious and dainty flowers, and fashion carried by hats. I went because I am comfortable stepping outside gender roles but not everyone is. So, I guess, I am saying that afternoon tea, all adorn with teas, is mostly for girls, shocking I know. The food was superb. I remember the chicken salad sandwich fondly. I remember the strawberries and cream. I remember being handed a warm towel to wipe my hands clean. I remember lounging, but again, this is more of an experience. Like I can have high tea again, but not like this because it is too precious to revisit on rewind. I rather have this be a bubble that strolls down Rodeo and Sunset than it be popped by another visit. I remember all of it as a kind of dream, which makes it more precious. There was also a harp player. But I am not going to say I was in heaven, that reach is too easy. Plus, I did not feel like I was in heaven, even though I sat in a cloud. I noticed to much, and thought to much about my surroundings. I was not at peace. I was in rest. The difference being is that peace comes with out thought, and rest can come with an analysis. Think I am wrong? Then imagine a genius doing Sodukus for fun---- he is not in peace because he is being challenged, but he is in rest because she can find quiet pleasure in finishing the mental challenge in record time. I realize that I took a long way to say the following: the place is gorgeous, the food is sensational, the graces both big and small, mix into a pleasurable experience that makes one say, that was certainly fancy to the sky!
