Eggs Benedict

This was my first time trying let's do bunch in ozone park. Off the bat the place is beautifully decorated during this holiday season. The ambiance was lovely and they played classic hits. It was a great spot to grab breakfast locally. The portions were a good size for the price. Drinks and food came in a timely fashion. Overall I would definitely come again!

Mimosa Flight

Great food, excellent vibes, cute rustic setup, servers are very nice. But the place is small and you can certainly anticipate a wait if you're going on a Saturday. Not sure if they truly honor reservations but besides the extensive wait time. I was pleased with the food and the drinks. It's definitely what this side of queens needed.

Where was this spot when I was growing up in the area. It's so funny how much has changed. And when a good friend asked me to meet her here on a Thursday, I jumped at the opportunity to go to the old neighborhood and check this spot out. Soooooooooo cute and definitely a fun group place, girls brunch date or even just a fun place for the family to dine at. They have mastered something I've only seen on viral reels, so I suggested we get it for the table. You may be asking yourself what's "it"? Well it's the breakfast charcuterie board. Complete with waffles, pancakes, crepes, one meat of our choosing (we chose bacon) and eggs. They were kind enough to do one egg over medium and one scrabbled for us. This board was EVERYTHING!! The crepes with fruit and Nutella were out of this world. We also got a side of home fries and sausage and each were equally as delicious. I couldn't stop eating the home fries. My friend sipped on coffee that wasn't as hot as they would like, but my peppermint tea was just right. Loved seeing a spot like this in the neighborhood and can't wait to take my niece here.

Really happy I found this gem! It's in an unexpected area, so you might pass it not even knowing it's a restaurant but DO check it out! Smaller spot but once you step inside, all that other stuff goes away. It's minority/West Indian owned (Guyanese), kudos for bringing this to the neighborhood. Went here weds 1130am for a working lunch with my team and we were very pleased. Ambiance in here is cozy with light music in the back. Surprisingly, they were fairly busy for that time of day/week, but the service was still really good. Jordan B was our server and she was so warm and welcoming. She was knowledgeable about menu items and checked on us often. I think the prices are pretty good and match the portion sizes. Drinks: they have so many delicious mimosa flavor options! I wanted to try them all (and will lol) but this time I had the mango dragon fruit and lychee rose - both were really good but I loved the mango dragon fruit more. My friends had the peach Bellini and hazelnut cappuccino which they both enjoyed. Food: everything was made to order so it came out hot and fresh! I had the avocado toast which comes with home fries or seasoned fries and I added bacon and 2 eggs over easy. This was really yummy! The only issue I had was that my fries were overcooked and hard! My friends had the shrimp burger with a side salad and the buttermilk chicken sandwich with fries. They said their meal was good and my friend's fries were much better than mine so I ate hers lol. My one suggestion: maybe add some appetizer options.

The entrance

I just had brunch here with my boyfriend for Valentine's Day when I tell you the food was soo good! I also really enjoyed the mimosa flight they had a Valentine's Day menu we didn't partake in it but it was a good deal for sure !! This place was so cute and fun I had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend and the playlist is soooo good the vibes were just perfect.

Drinks were not that great

Cute, quaint spot in the middle of a queens residential block. The mimosas looked pretty but didn't taste that great. The waitress spilled 2 glasses of ice water on me so I would think that she needs just a little bit more training, lol. I had good food and was with good people so that's all I needed.

This spot is so adorable. Good vibes, nice music, clean and most of all, good food. I highly recommend.

Good food, service, vibes. Please visit. I highly recommend for small quaint gatherings.

Food was great! Chicken and waffles were great. Coffee was freshly made. Great customer service. Very esthetically pleasing.

Steak skirt with potatoes and an egg. Looks like a lot but nope. So delicious as well. Just the right seasonings.

Doesn't look like much from outside but when you enter you love it immediately. They greet you as soon as you enter. Very friendly warm atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Delicious. Nice all around brunch spot. Everything made fresh by order. Delicious variety of mimosas. Not usually a fan of them. But theirs was delicious . Nice if you want to do a small gathering. Hopefully as the weather get warmer mb they'll add out door seating.

Cute spot, with minimalist decor that have just the right touch. The owner came to the table after the meal to check in and shared her story. There is a bit of a wait but it's worth it as the food is made to order. We ordered chicken and waffles and eggs Benedict. Both were delish and if you are an egg Benedict kinda person you know not everyone or anywhere makes it good. We didn't make reservations and the wait was pretty decent considering, but I do recommend to make reservations so at least the only wait is when you are getting your food. Plan on going again!

Think of it as a neighborhood haunt with a sports bar that dominates half of the restaurant. Alas, my family was looking for a warm place to enjoy a comfort food kind of meal. So we all got the early bird special with came with an app, an entree and a dessert all for 32$ which wasn't bad at all. I chose the lobster salad roll for my app, and the chicken Milanese with a rice side and the rainbow cake for dessert. The portions were the best part of our dining experience, as we all left stuffed and wowed by how affordable the meal was. Each plate was tasty and prepared well and the service was also very friendly,

Walking in there is a newness to the bar and adjacent dining areas as they renovated somewhat recently. We were able to be seated right away on a Saturday night for dinner and sat in the bar dining room. Beer is served cold and their cocktails are nicely made. We went for the shell steaks with a salad added on. The salad arrived first and was a fairly large portion. Fresh and tasty. The steaks arrived looking good. My steak was actually perfectly cooked, it was just on the bland side. I don't know why they don't season their steaks much, if at all. Fries were not really hot and the shoe string fries, were different than the fries they used to have. Well cooked veggies were also served along with the steak. It would have been 4 stars if things were season properly. Service is still on the slow side, so a quick meal typically isn't possible. All in all Austin's Ale House is a neighborhood staple, that could really be wonderfully with some more attention to flavors.

I ordered the short ribs and the five-onion soup again, and both were excellent. The service was spot-on and impressively quick--my food arrived in under 15 minutes. The owner is also really cool; he personally greets guests and makes a point of chatting with the performers to ensure they're comfortable. This is a wonderfully romantic spot. The beautiful flowers add such a nice touch (as I mentioned in my previous review). While it's not fully upscale, it has an elevated, sophisticated vibe that makes you want to dress up for the occasion. Highly recommended!

They didn't mention it when we made a reservation and when we entered the restaurant, there were maybe about five table tables that were not occupied by the event. We completely understood the fact that the wait staff was also serving the event, and expected delays in service. When our waiter came over to apologize for not being as attentive as he felt he could have been, we told him we completely understand not a problem. That being said, and even giving him the benefit of the doubt, we did not feel like welcomed guests at this restaurant. The attitude towards us asking questions about the menu, being indecisive about menu items seemed to put him completely off. We asked a question about one of the appetizers and he gave us a snarky answer. When it came time for dessert, we ordered an Affogato, which wasn't on the menu, but assuming it was an espresso with ice cream, didn't mention our allergy to nuts. When the cup came out, the rim of the cup was lined with chocolate and a mix of nuts. All we did was mention at that point that we had a food allergy, which clearly displeased our waiter greatly and when we asked for a different one without nuts on it, his attitude changed drastically. We finished up, paid the bill, left a normal tip and when we said good night to the waiter, he didn't so much as even say good night or thank us for coming - nothing at all. Now I'm one to believe you never know what someone is going through and I'm very sorry if he was having a bad day but it kind of put a damper on our dining this evening. The food itself was good but the overall experience left a bad in our mouths.

It's absolutely amazing, and the filling is very generous--it feels like heaven in every bite. Another favorite of mine is the chocolate layer cake: rich, velvety smooth chocolate that isn't overly sweet. The only thing I don't agree with is that they do not clearly tell customers that dining in adds an extra $1 charge to each item. Yes, check your receipt. I'm expected to tip my waitstaff and also pay an extra dollar per item just because I chose to dine in. For example, the cupcake is usually $4.75 to go, but they charged me an extra $1 for dining in. Their cake slices are usually $9.50 to go, but I was charged $10.50. I also tipped 20%, so the added charge felt frustrating, especially since there was no clear notice. When I asked the waitstaff about the $1 charge, she said it was entered that way because I dined in. When I later called about it, the manager simply said, "Next time, just order to go if you don't want to be charged extra." That response was disappointing, especially since there was no visible sign explaining this policy, and their dine-in menu does not show separate pricing. I really think management should fix this to avoid misleading customers. Transparency matters. Don't get me wrong--I would still come back because their cakes are amazing, but from now on, I'll always order everything to go.

Over the years, I have tried many of their desserts since it's one of the only decent dessert options around the area. However, it would not be my first choice if I had others. With that said, my whole family and many of my friends all agree that their best item is the Berry Napoleon. That is the one cake that I do enjoy from this shop. We often buy a whole cake for a group gathering or birthdays. As for dining in, there's always a lot of people inside the store and it gets a bit loud. Not my favorite place to relax and chat with my friends. That's why I only buy takeout when I do get the Berry Napoleon. I think I do prefer the Astoria original location more.
