The Tulare team normally provides good service. But one employee has ruined it all for us. Recently she gave very bad advice and when we went back to tell her she made a mistake, she doubled down, explaining with attitude why she was right, told us she had been 'doing this for 7 years' that that we needed the high concentration of shock that she'd recommended (3 x the amount that was on the report!) due to the hot weather, then refused to give us the water report for our pool (IE supporting documentation of her error). I went to another Leslie's and got the water report she refused to give me, and was able to purchase neutrilizer to reduce the over shock due to her bad advice. I opened a complaint with Leslie's corporate, and although I was promised a call in 2 days, I rec'd no call back from the district manager. That employee was gone for a few weeks from Tulare, or we just didn't go in when she was there, but next time we saw that same employee a few weeks later, she gave us attitude, rolling her eyes at us and saying she was 'very busy' and slamming down what she was working on when we asked a water test. Magically, she told us the computer 'froze' when she did the test, and she couldn't give us a report. Not going back when EC is on duty in Tulare EVER!! read more

Huge change in this store. Been here a few times before and it was always dingy and dirty. The other day I came in for some shock and HUGE IMPROVEMENT. I'm not sure what changed but the store looks much better than before and the staff is more than willing to help. I was confused between which shock to get and the manager actually spent the time to go through which shock would be best for my needs. My pool has algae and I was told before just putting chlorine will help, but when I came in the he told me all the chlorine was doing is making the algae dormant. EWWWW. He advised me on the steps I need to do to make sure I get rid of this algae problem because let's face it who wants to swim with that?! Hands down will come back again if this improvement keeps up. If you have a pool sweeper that need fixing do not go to Leslie's pool supply. They do not have good track record of getting it back to you. They apparently threw away the sweeper that we had brought in there for them to fix. This sweeper was less then a year old when it was brought for them to fix. This sweeper should have not needed this much work since it was just purchased less then year. Paid a little over $2,000.00 for a sweeper that was just thrown away because according to Eddie we never came to pick it up. If you deal with Robert one of the store managers and he tells you he will call you back. Do not expect him to. I spoke with him on a Thursday and he never called me back. I called the store on Sunday and spoke with Eddie. Eddie stated that since the sweeper was left there and no one came in to claim it, it was thrown away. Eddie had stated they have a new system that was put in where they input information so they can keep track of things. So when I had asked Eddie if I can have the date when our sweeper was thrown away Eddie had stated that they do not keep track of that information. So, if that system is to keep track of information DUGH wouldn't that be a good thing to right down since they had my name and last name on the work order. So if you have any thing valuable to be fixed and and want if back DO NOT TAKE it the Leslie's pool on Mooney. Eddie tried telling me that it was my fault that it was thorn away because when he had asked me the names of the staff I was talking to regarding our sweeper I did have it and I did not keep calling or why did I not go to the store. So if you do call them take a name down because if you don't they start acting dumb, and start making it you fault. So lessened learn for us. About a week after I received them, I got a call from Leslie's asking if I received them, and since I did, would I change my review of Leslie's because they were afraid it would hurt their business. I declined because I think people have a right to know what kind of customer service they are going to receive. Recently I tried to use the coupons, and Leslie's Pool Service on Mooney Blvd. refused them and said they weren't valid. Definitely wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

After spending over $375 with them to fix our Polaris, it still was not working. We took it in 3 different times. The first time, the supposedly did a 'complete overhaul' for $330. Didn't work. Took it back for another $30 they said it was now fixed. Didn't work. Took it back they said it needed a couple of new 'bearings'. So obviously, the complete overhaul did not include a couple bearings. Another $20. Still didn't work. We then took it to Visalia Pool Supply. VPS said the problem was it was 'full of debris' inside and a part was loose & needed adjustment. They cleaned it out/made the adjustment for us - NO CHARGE. It now works like a champ! If you have money/time to waste, go to Leslie's Pro on Mooney. read more

Store manager, Robert, is a class act. We came in 20 minutes before closing, carrying our broken pool sweep. He tore it apart, found the issues and had it fixed before we knew it. He even kept the store open 40 minutes after closing to ensure that we went home with a cleaner that could do the job! His customer service was spot on! I recently had an exceptional experience at the Mooney Blvd. Visalia location, and it is all thanks to Jonathan the employee whom we spoke with over the phone and had interaction with in store. A little back story, today my husband and i visited the Dinuba Blvd VISALIA location, as this one is closest to our home. First off we have been practicing "sheltering in place" and limit our outings to the absolute necessities. Well our pool cleaner broke making this trip necessary. We were ready to purchase our cleaner at this location when the employee, whose name it did not catch but wished I would have, told us that the price advertised is wrong and our total would be $150 more! I asked if the advertised price could be honored as that is one of the reason I was sold on purchasing in store rather than online. The employ said no. I demanded he call his supervisor to which his response again was no. He was unwilling to try and work with us. After expressing my frustration, we left this store and my husband called the Mooney Blvd location. That is when we met Jonathan. Who listened to us and went above and beyond by asking if he could call us back after he made a call to his district manager to find out what he and his store could do to win our business. Me and my wife purchased a pool heater to replace our old one that I messed up. Robert at the Visalia Mooney store was very helpful and knowledgeable and he helped us get a great deal on our heater. Even though one of the service guys got sick Joshua still came out that Tuesday night and finished hooking the unit up and both him and Robert were able to get the service manager out to finish the job the next morning. They have a sign posted that says there is a 15% restocking fee for returning online orders but when I tried to return a ladder there the guy at the counter told me I had to ship it back or call whoever shipped it to me! I've always had issues with my pool cleaner vacuuming properly and moving on the bottom of my pool. We have palm trees that drop large seeds, so they cause mayhem. I took the cleaner head to Jacob at Leslie's in Visalia and he quickly fixed the problem. After talking with him further when the seeds started to clog up the head again, he told me of a way to fix the system to bypass the system. I have a work around the problem. Very grateful! if you have an in ground pool the Jacuzzi 3300 gets caught on your stairs and the hoses are aren't quite long enough because it come with a house that that has the same end. when I originally went into leslies I wanted to buy the barracuda sweep that was also on sale but none of the stores had it in stock and you had to order it online.so I bout the Jacuzzi sweep because it has a 3 year warranty. What a mistake. I am very disappointed. it was not worth the money. read more
