My house in Southern California had a pool and my kids started swimming when they were babies so having a pool at the new house was a no-brainer. We didn't find a house with a pool so I decided to have one built. I interviewed several contractors to see what they had to offer. After my research I went with Paradise Pools. The owner John came to my house to look things over and give me ideas of what to do. He wasn't pushy in anyway and worked with my price point. I went to his showroom in Visalia to look over the materials they had to offer and to look at photos of other pools he had built. The office staff were very friendly and helpful. They all made me feel comfortable and were all very professional. Once the start date was set, the process began, which only took a couple months to complete. All of the subcontractors were friendly and very hard working. After the job was completed, John and his crew followed up with me several times to make sure I was satisfied with the results, answered any questions I had, and explained in detail how to operate all of the equipment. Craig, who came out every time I had a question was very knowledgeable and helpful, he had a lot of patience with my questions and answered everything I needed. Michelle, who works in the office, has been a blessing also, she kept me updated every step of the way, answered all the questions I had, and if she didn't know the answer she would find out and get back to me quickly. I'm not sure what changed but the store looks much better than before and the staff is more than willing to help. I was confused between which shock to get and the manager actually spent the time to go through which shock would be best for my needs. My pool has algae and I was told before just putting chlorine will help, but when I came in the he told me all the chlorine was doing is making the algae dormant. EWWWW. He advised me on the steps I need to do to make sure I get rid of this algae problem because let's face it who wants to swim with that?! Hands down will come back again if this improvement keeps up. Suddenly stopped coming to service our pool without notice and will no longer answer calls or texts. We paid him $3,000 last year to drain and acid wash our pool. I didn't notice right away that he had stopped coming, as I'm not always home when he does the pool service. Our pool turned into a murky green swamp, complete with mosquitos. In addition to spending hundreds of dollars with a new service to get the water cleared, we discovered that the plaster is now stained. What a mess. And a completely unprofessional way to treat your customers. He deserves zero stars.
