I can't recommend Tom and everyone at Backyard Spa & Leisure highly enough. We were in a tough situation and needed a replacement hot tub immediately. Tom went above and beyond to find us an incredible deal on a beautifully refurbished Sundance spa and somehow had it delivered and installed the very next day--something that normally takes weeks. From start to finish, Tom was honest, professional, and genuinely cared about making sure we got the right hot tub rather than just making a sale. He communicated every step of the way, did exactly what he said he would do, and made the entire process completely stress-free. The quality of their refurbished hot tubs is top-notch, and it's obvious they take pride in doing things the right way. If you're looking for someone who is trustworthy, stands behind their work, and truly goes the extra mile for their customers, Tom is the person to call. We couldn't be happier with our Sundance hot tub and the exceptional service we received. Thank you again, Tom! read more

Purchased new spa from Michael O. at Backyard Spa and Leisure. I went out of my local network of dealers as their prices and included services were unacceptable in a multitude of ways. Luckily the knowledge and service before and after sale plus much more competitive pricing made this a win win. Delivery and installation was also outstanding! read more

I purchased the Platinum Spa Topaz hot tub from the team at Backyard Spa recently (March 2025). I LOVE the versatility of this smaller, luxurious hot tub, but the reason I am posting here is because Backyard Spa and Leisure has a top-notch sales and service team. They are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and on top of their game for everything you could need. 15 years ago, I had an old spa, and they were wonderful in assisting me with service for it, so when I knew I needed a new purchase, I made sure to go back to this amazing team. They did not disappoint. Not only did Backyard Spa & Leisure have a hot tub unit that fit through my gate in the backyard and had every feature I needed, but the unit also I chose is luxurious at a price point that is comfortable. Communication was top notch for all aspects of my purchase. Payment, delivery, set up, chemicals and a service guide just for my spa, so that I know how best to take care of my unit. A quick phone call to the store will answer any of those little nagging questions that a new spa owner may be concerned about. Thank you, Backyard Spa & Leisure for making my new spa an easy thing to do. I know I will be in good hands for the life of my unit! read more

I had the best experience purchasing my first spa at Backyard Spa and Leisure. They walked me through choosing the right spa for my needs and went above and beyond with install and set up at my house. Tom personally delivered my new cover and took the time to answer the million question I had! If you are in the market for a spa, I highly recommend using this company! read more

I love my new spa/hot tub. I've had it for about a week now and have enjoyed it every day! The changing lights on the hot tub allows for a fun environment with friends. The hot tub I bought was a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for and the hot tub is definitely good quality. I had a guy help me and he was extremely informative and helped me choose out a hot tub that fit my needs. It took about 4 months for the hot to come and came in just in time for the new year! I also like their financing option, which allows for no interest for a year from the date of installation. However, I do not like the form of the financing was in credit card "debt" rather than a loan "debt". Meaning, when you finance the hot tub your basically opening up a new credit card. Overall it is still a great option for customers to be able to finance instead of paying out-of-pocket. read more

Highly recommend for all your fireplace and pool/spa needs!! Tom and Ruthie were both very enjoyable to work with. I was initially brought in because they were the nearest dealer to my home that carried the fireplace I wanted and their customer service made a long time customer out of me. They made the process for ordering the fireplace, and getting approved for the San Joaquin Valley air pollution credit, very easy. I was concerned about the fireplace dimensions and wanted to be sure that it would work before we placed the order. So Tom came out to the house and measured and surveyed for us even before we committed to buying. Not only did he take a look at our fireplace, he also checked out a spa that we inherited when we bought our house to give us tips on what we should do to try to get it up and running again, all complementary! We were so happy with the service and end result of our fireplace that we came back here when we needed new pool filters. These people truly provide the customer service that makes you feel good about supporting local! They are knowledgeable of their products and can help you figure out what is best for you! read more

Check out our gorgeous new fireplace sold to us and installed by Backyard Spa & Leisure. The installers were quick and clean. They left no mess and the installation was flawless. It comes with a remote control which is convenient and easy to use. It works incredibly well. Just can't wait for those cold winter nights drinking hot chocolate with marshmallows, enjoying a movie, and loving the beautiful, warm fireplace with my family. It truly updates and enhances the look of our home. We are grateful to our wonderful sales person, Bridget. She is so patient and always ready to answer questions and help out. My wife and I also love the owners and find them very amiable. Till my next purchase from that great business, I highly recommend them for purchasing a spa, fireplace, and more. The first time I went into the store to get info. about one of their spas. An employee named Chris greeted me. He was friendly, professional, and seemed very interested in helping me find the right spa. Several weeks later I went back to purchase a spa, and was greeted by the owner of the business named Ruthie. We sat down and talked about my spa needs, and she helped me find the right spa. A few day's later while at her store, I met the other owner her husband Tom. I have to say the owners of this business are the friendliest, most professional business owners I have ever dealt with. This is not a 5 STAR business, it Is a (6 Star) business. I have gone back several times to buy supplies from the store. I know every employee by their first name. Everyone of them are friendly, professional people. Bridget and Chris thank you for helping me each time I am there. If you are interested in buying a spa, I highly recommend you visit this business. My wife and I stopped in to look at spas. Ruthie was our sales person. She was extremely knowledgeable and provided excellent service. Backyard spa and leisure has a very nice showroom. Sales staff is very helpful and friendly. They were not high pressure, which I appreciate, just there to help you find what will make you happy. Lots of spas and Traeger grills to look at. They were great to work with as far as making a couple payments before delivery. The only reason I did not give them a 5 star rating was because they forgot to send the chlorine package with the spa, so I had to wait a day to get in. Also, they said that hooking it up would be included but the guy hooking it up charged $200 because we needed a gfi and extra electrical cord. Just wish they had mentioned that. Delivery was great, they were fast, and the spa is beautiful. read more

I've purchased two spas from Backyard Spa & Leisure. Not only has their product been top notch, but their customer service has as well. Anytime there's a question about our spa they are incredibly helpful. Plus, their pricing and selection of spa chemicals can't be best...and the fact they offer 20% off with a Yelp deal makes it even better. With that, I'll gladly keep purchasing my chemicals here. read more

I've had two great experiences with these guys, both times working with the owner Tom and his staff on repairs to an aging spa. You'd expect the owner to be very knowledgable and professional but I've found their staff to all be the same way as well, which usually reflects good management and employees who like their workplace. Over the past two years we've had one jet motor blow out on our spa and we've needed to replace the cover. With an aging spa we had to make judgment calls on whether we should continue investing in it or dispose of it. Tom gave me unbiased opinions on both sides of the decision and when I chose to replace the motor he did the work himself. It's run perfectly since. When it was time to replace the cover he worked with me to help me understand exactly which measurements I'd need to get so they could have a partner custom build a cover. The cover came out, was easy to install, fits perfectly and looks great. Both were fairly complex situations where I needed expert consultation to make $400 - $500 decisions and I couldn't be happier. For the more simple transactions like purchasing supplies, the store is well stocked and as mentioned has very helpful staff. They sell new and rehabbed spas which look beautiful. Thanks to the great experiences so far they definitely have my business when/if it's time to get a new spa. Highly recommend them as your go-to. read more

Wow, this company clearly has so much money they don't need your business! I contacted them to get a quote on a custom spa cover. I was asked for my contact info and was told I'd get a call from the person who takes the measurements. 4 days pass with no call. I call back to find out why I hadn't been contacted "must have lost your info" I provided my contact info again and this time I was actually called back and scheduled to have our spa measured the following day between 1-2 pm. The next day Tim shows up around 3 pm (no call to say he's running late) and proceeds to measure my spa. I tell him we want the cover to keep the spa hot and warm up faster. Tim tells me because of the spillway he needs to contact the manufacturer to find out if it's even an option. I say I understand and Tim says hell call me the following day. This is early December 2019. Tim calls me the following day, leaves a message saying due vacations he won't know if the cover can be made or not and he'll call me back by December 19, 2019. I have yet to receive the call back letting me know if the cover can be made so I can only assume this company does not want or need my business. read more

Fantastic company, fantastic price, fantastic install! We are very happy! Tom and his wife are the best!

Purchased new spa in 2018. Needed warranty servicing done due to bad electrical connection. Called first week of Dec, they couldn't even get to me for FIVE weeks later! I had to keep calling them. Told them it was electrical problem at the sub box by their installer. They didn't send their electrician, but instead sent someone not certified to check electric.... Moving into week 6 of still no spa. All they can say is they're sorry! But still making those payments on a non working new spa. Needs better dedication to keeping current customers needs in check, not sell the spa, get paid, and disappear. Need the issue fixed in a timely manner. read more

Backyard Spa, particularly Tom, is awesome! If you're looking to buy a spa, I would highly, highly recommend buying it at Backyard Spa. They are knowledgeable, helpful and price conscious. We bought our spa over 15 years ago. Over the years they have provided us with excellent service, parts and support. I have called Tom for all kinds of issues and he has solved all of our problems. Being that our spa is at 6000 feet and in the snow and cold for several months, we have taxed it to its utmost. The spa itself has provided us with years of use. read more

After visiting other pool stores, this is the only place my husband Johnny will go now. Tom, the owner and his wife are very nice and personable. Tom is extremely knowledgeable and is always willing to help, offering in our case, as relatively new pool owners, much needed guidance, as well as important suggestions. It is evident that he and his wife both genuinely care about their customers and are willing to go out of their way to assist in any way possible. Their prices are fair and reasonable and I believe that they even offer price matching. We were spending so much on chemicals it was So So worth it to spend a little more at once with Tom at Back Yard Spa and Leisure/NuWater Resource to Save So much more $ and time in the long run! This place is awesome! Unprecedented customer service you just don't get in commerce today. We didn't even buy our spa from them and I didn't discover them until after we got one from Costco. I've been in to buy chemicals and they are always helpful and thorough explaining how to maintain my spa. When I did my first water change, I got a "FLO" error after refilling and called to schedule a service. They took a message and then called back a few hours later with recommendations on how to try fix it myself. I'm a pretty hands on guy and really appreciated it. They easily could have charged me for a service visit but instead gave me a 5 minute call. After the call, I tried the first recommendation (remove the filter and really shoot water down it to remove air bubbles) and it worked! I will always buy my supplies from them and if we ever buy another spa, I will definitely buy from them! Feels good to support a local business that does it all right. read more
