I bought it and then checked Amazon and the price was $10.99 for the exact same part. How can Leslie's charge FIVE times for the same part? Won't be going back there. read more

This location has gone downhill. We used to bring our water for testing and get a full analysis and the technician would write down what we needed and provide some support. Fast forward the past six months every time we go in they just print out a paper with little discussion or instruction. Being that their supplies are more expensive than ordering online this is what set them apart from an online competitor. Hoping that they are able to get some better trained staff and resume their old customer service ways! This is a great location and could be generating a lot more business. read more

I would rate this location less than one if possible. Staff is rude and arrogant. Products are good, however overpriced. Knowledge of pool chemistry is decent, but products are over recommended. This particular location has horrible morale. Bad company culture. I assume from a negative manager. Stay away and visit another Leslies location. My wife was convinced by the salesperson that the polaris p825 robotic pool sweep was a great product. In less than 2 years the costs to repair have superceded the original cost.. its ridiculous!!! They had to give me a new panel in just over 1 year and that was out of warranty. I just had to replace the tracks because they don't stay on for $250.00 and now the motor is out for a $580 dollar replacement. They said the sweep shouldn't be left in the water. Its a pool sweep... we take it out for party's and when people swim. I have lost faith in Leslie's. They are over priced and don't stand behind the products they sell. read more

I requested Leslie's service to replace a valve on my pool equipment. Their service tech came and took the valve with him to order a replacement valve. I called them for two weeks and their service department answer was parts are on order. When I asked for my part back their phone rep hung up on me. I checked the part on line it is available everywhere, amazon and various pool supply sites. Update: Leslie's service manager called me and apologized for the poor service. Went for a Pentair top mount release valve. Already did my research online through Amazon (usually a couple dollars more on a lot of items) and knew what part number I needed. Amazon price 19.99. Leslie's price 43.99. WTF is that garbage. More than double? How is this place still in business with price gauging like that? Insane. I will not step foot in this place ever again. I had to leave a kind word for this location. When I purchased a new Viking hot tub (not from Leslie's), both Oscar Alvarez (the manager) and another employee who I unfortunately forgot the name of but deserves props... tested my water, counseled me on the products and taught me the ABCs of good hot tub maintenance on two separate occasions. The Leslie's staff here take their time with their customers, in contrast with the Leslie's on Blackstone where they seem a little aloof or rushed at times. Knowledgeable, too. Thanks to this location's advice, the barf coloured bubbles in my tub are no longer an issue. The staff here ought to be training other Fresno locations. read more

The staff at this store are incompetent! Dont waste your time. I went in with an air release valve from a Hayward filter. I was told they don't sell the o-rings for it, nor do they sell a whole new valve. Well a quick check of the internet showed they don't know anything about pool parts or repairs. Because Leslie sells the part online and at stores for $42. I also found it for sale on Amazon, ebay, and countless other pool supply companies. I ended up getting a valve for $17 with free shipping. While their shear incompetence was fustrating and cost them a sale that day, I wanted to worn others not to believe what they tell you.(because they don't know anything) While it saved me money, it could cost you money. read more

I have came here many times in the past and I've seen several people come and go, today I was in the middle of cleaning out my sand filter and needed a O-RING, with the part number in hand I call this store and greg rudely answers and is very short and gruff with me, he tells me no one has the part and the only places that did were far away, doesn't even offer to order it and rudely pushes me off the line. I go to the store anyway, needing a air relief for the same filter and Jean helps me followed by andrew, both were spectacular and not only helped me get the part I needed but also happily ordered the O-RING I needed While I was in there and talking about the O-RING, greg looked at me and scoffed, pulled Jean aside and said "I need to talk to now!" Did the old man misplace his dentures? Seriously how rude can you be? Especially to my face! Fire that old man and make Jean manager! Who ever hired him in the first place should be canned! At least. They have a lot of nice stuff in here but as I went to the counter to try to purchase things I felt like I was bothering the staff more than anything. I don't really want to come here and pay money for items if I'm treated like whatever it is I need is not important. This is my first experience in my new neighborhood and I have to say I was very disappointed. I absolutely dread going to this store. No matter the problem, I can't seem get out without spending $100+. Salesmen are pushy and always convince me to buy more chemical than I really need under the guise of "I use it in my pool and I love it." During a recent visit to the store for a necessary product, the highly obnoxious salesman convinced me to spend an extra $50 on "pool speakers" for my iPod so that I could save $15 on my next purchase. This was only after I refused the floats, replacement filters, and chemicals he suggested. He really wanted me to purchase a remote control skimmer boat for $100. I don't like pressure or stories of his ex-wife and other obnoxious customers he had in the past. I knew what product I needed and he continued to pressure me into anything and everything else in the store. I debated between 1 and 2 stars... I decided to go with two stars because the store had the product I was looking for. That's the only thing it had going for it. read more

Love the staff here. They are friendly, helpful and customer-oriented. I use the free pool water testing. Because of the staff here and the water testing, I try to buy something from this store at least once or twice a year. If it weren't for the staff and the water testing, I would never purchase from this store. Everything sold by Leslie's is cheaper online. The most striking example is my recent visit to the store to buy a replacement brass nut for my filter clamp. Leslie's in-store price? $50. For a single brass nut. Amazon sellers prices? Serious RIPOFF! If I could rate their service any lower I would. I diligently took my pool water to Leslie's Pools for years thinking I was getting professional advice on treating my water. What I got was constant upselling of products that were not only ineffective, but damaging to my plaster!!! I even drained my pool based on their recommendations and kept using their PhosFree products believing all the $$$$ I was spending was doing the right thing! I can't tell you how many $100s I spent!! Finally when my plaster was ending up as white sand in my filter I knew I had a problem. Leslie's continued to tell me that white sand was not my plaster, even tho rebar was beginning to show in places! So 3 years ago I replastered my pool, stopping using Leslie's ripoff products and have saved myself $$$$$!! I go to Clearwater Pools in Clovis and I only need chlorine and muriatic acid...that's it!! Pool is perfectly controlled with no algae growth, very little chemicals required and no cloudy water or other issues. I've been waiting to write this review to make certain it wasn't just the new plaster that has made the difference. It's not! The difference is not using Leslie's Pools to test my water. I purchased my own Taylor test kit on Amazon and have been very successful at treating my own water. Please don't let Leslie's con you into buying all their "water treatment" products!! read more

I bought a Hayward pool sweep that included a $100 rebate. To get the rebate you needed to send in a warranty card from inside the box, but there was no warranty in the box. I called Leslie's and they said it wasn't their problem- I needed to deal with Hayward. Conveniently there I no telephone number on any of the paperwork or instruction booklet. When I called back Leslie's they said go online and look for it. I decided to return the product but despite knowing what happened they charged me a 15% restocking fee- and they calculated the 15% not on the price that they advertise in their store but on the price assuming you got the mail-in rebate! Needless to say I will never use Leslie's or Hayward again read more

I ran up to this store at 705pm, Oscar smiled and said, "I'm so sorry, we're closed." I pitifully responded, "I have my pool torn apart and the other place sold me the wrong part." Every time I go into this place I feel like I am approached by a used car salesman. I prefer to drive 20 minutes across town just to get helpful, low pressure pool service. An example of their rudeness-Yesterday, for the convenience, I sent my son up to get our water tested and he was berated for "not taking care of our pool because he hadn't had water tested there in over a year". When he asked if the pool would be fine after adding the shock they suggested, the clerk said "not the way you treat your pool". I was so proud that he left and went elsewhere to purchase the necessary shock. It feels like they work on commission. read more

This a great place to get your water tested for free, and learn how to maintain your own pool through the friendly staff on Chestnut. Greg is great, he has a wealth of knowledge and he is ready to share it with you. His staff is very friendly and helpful. I had never owned a pool before and I was not looking forward to paying someone do that for me. Thanks to Greg and his team, they were able to teach me, through their free water tests, how to maintain my own pool. I'm very grateful for this team, they work very hard even when they are super busy, they'll still test your water for free and print out the results for you. This is where I go for most of my pool needs, they have never made me feel obligated to buy anything after a water test. They simply offer sound advice on how to keep your pool clean and what you need to accomplish that. Greg even replaced my pool cover, the other day because I told him my old one had not lasted long and I had lost my paperwork. No questions asked, he had seen me there many times, and I did not have to show my old receipt etc. My pool cover was still covered under warranty and he gave me a brand new. one What great customer service.
