If I could give them 10 stars, I would!!! Luis' Nursery has gone above and beyond during the COVID-19 crisis. My quarantined mother has filled her days with gardening. It has been her sanity during these unprecedented times. I live hours away and work an essential job, therefore coming home was out of the question as I was trying to find an appropriate way to celebrate her for Mother's Day. Larry came to my rescue! Communication was incredible considering the gardening business has been extremely busy and the crew is implementing new time consuming safety procedures. Not only did he help me pick out the selection for her yard, but they delivered them for FREE to my mother's front porch (all non-contact!) My son has special needs and his school comes here for field trips. I took him here today to pick out flowers for his (non-veggie) flower bed. The staff here were awesome and spent some time walking around the various isles showing him plants that fit his needs and desires. I'm glad I came here over the big box stores. The personal attention and patience was greatly appreciated. I'm sorry I won't be buying any more plants here. I paid 30 dollars for this plant and they have no plant policy to talk about. 30 days. I called and they said no 30 days that's it. Guess I'll stick to Lowes at least they have a year policy. Never know how plants will survive with this drought policy of 2 days a week watering. Absolutely a FANTASTIC place to go. The staff is SO knowledgable, truly top notch service. The prices were great, and the plants look fantastic! The lady there (sorry, unsure of your name!) was incredibly helpful. I went in having a very basic idea of what I wanted, unsure if it was attainable and she not only could figure out what I wanted, but a good mix of what I wanted and what would be best for our yard. We walked away with a beautiful collection and some fantastic product (fertilizer, book recommendations, etc) that are absolutely thriving only because of their help - truly, if left on my own I would have killed them already! But then, having realistic expectations of what plants would be good for our property is also a plus. Like not buying something drought-hardy if you plan on being on vacation in three weeks and don't get someone to come and water your plants. Or heck, putting in a few watering globes for it. Or understanding that yes, new plants MUST be watered more frequently than established plants, and that IT IS OKAY to water a single plant more often than every two days because it's a single plant, not a whole yard. We will definitely be going back to Luis' Nursery, their selection far outshone Lowe's and the staff knew loads more. read more

I have been trying to find a specific plant and have had no luck with the nursery's in Hanford. Although Luis Nursery is about 30 miles from me I decided to call them. I have to say, I'm impressed. I was able to speak to an employee who knew exactly what I was talking about. She told me they had 10 of the plants in stock. I zoomed over and bought all 10. Later I decided I wanted more. I called and spoke to a different employee who also knew what I was talking about. They special ordered the extra plants for me. I ordered 4" plants but when the order arrived they were 1 gallon plants. Luis Nursery offered to sell me the 1 gallon plants for the same price as the 4" plants I had ordered! That, my friends, is called outstanding customer service. I found the employees to be helpful and knowledgeable about gardening. The nursery is beautiful and has a large variety to choose from.
