The indoor saunas were the same mostly from what I could tell. But there were some touch ups. Doesn't look like the outdoor pools received much of an upgrade. The food at the pool bar too way too long. I ordered a chicken sandwich so not sure what the reason for the delay was. The drinks were pretty good. As well as the Korean food on the 3rd floor. The double in price from the pre renovation isn't worth it to me. It's definitely more of an atmosphere to socialize than to truly relax like you would expect at a spa.

In a mere 6 months AFTER the pool renovation was completed, the pavers gapped, not once but twice. They came out and fixed them, even doing soil injections a second time only for the exact same problem to return. The concrete beam or whatever its called under the coping is cracking and falling apart in two places. I've got several seams of grout in the coping tile that has completely separated b/c their sub contractor did a horrible job with cuts and used grout in almost 1.5inch seams which is absurd. They keep saying they are going to come out, but weeks pass without a single person showing up. Its now been months and I'm exploring my legal options, even if it just means taking them to small claims court. These guys are a construction defect nightmare who use a bunch of cheap mexican labor that doesn't speak english. DO NOT HIRE THEM. Update: They still haven't fixed the horrendous grout work yet they've been telling me for months someone will come out to fix it. Look at the grout size....this is the quality of work everyone. You think this is acceptable? Then they send out some loser who barely speaks english and he does a hand cut on a tile so it looks jagged like a bottle cap. He puts a bunch of sand in without truly fixing the gaps and calls it a day in an hour. The owner of the company, Bob, emails me to say it's all fixed. This company is a blatant joke. I should sue them just to make their life hell since they have made mine hell. Blue Escapes is just one giant construction defect claim waiting to happen. The worst contractor experience I've ever had and I've done full remodels on several properties before. If you hire them, be ready to spend a lot of money for the worst possible workmanship you've seen. You've been warned. Update 2: They sent out another band of incompetent illegals that don't speak english to try and fix the deck, but the joke continues. None of the pavers are level. None of the separation gaps were fixed, and the underlying issues still not addressed. Their incompetence is exhausting. I have officially filed a complaint with the BBB. I will no longer allow them to "repair" anything. I've asked for a 10k refund so I can hire another company to fix the pavers, the coping, and the bond beam which is crumbling. I've also hired an attorney on retention and I'm ready to go to war at this point. This business should not be in business. Of all my years remodeling properties, I've never dealt with this level of stupidity, poor management, and pure incompetence. It would be funny if it wasn't my property. But here we are and I'm beyond livid to the point that I will pour money into the legal side to crush this company. That's how pissed off they have made me and I've given them several opportunities to make things right. They will be lucky to be in business after I'm done with them.

Our pool began to turn green, so we were told the filters needed to be cleaned. The company came and cleaned the filters, and charged us. One week later and the algae returned. Now we were told that we needed new filters. That should have been mentioned the week before during the cleaning, but that's fine. We bought new filters and installed them ourselves. The pool was still green for weeks until one day it wasn't. We didn't have issues for a while. Then, one day my wife noticed that the debris was in the same place in the pool the day that the company was supposed to come out. The next day, the pool turned green. We checked our backyard cameras and they never were there cleaning our pool, yet we were still charged for services. When we addressed this with the pool company, we were met with a hostile and argumentative response. Even though we showed them that our cameras never captured their employees on the date and time that they claimed to be there, the company refused to put the customer first. They said that the green in our pool was a result of our filtration system and not from our pool not being treated despite video evidence. Needless to say we would not recommend this company to anyone. We had issues from the start, but kept up good faith until we were shown that they would charge and argue for services not rendered.

This will be a fun, exhausting, exciting, frustrating, angry and elation filled 5+ months ahead of you. Luckily, Cody Pools can help highlight the good and mitigate the bad. We moved to Dallas from NYC late last year and had ZERO experience with owning a pool. We interviewed 3 different pool builders locally and received bids that ranged wildly across the pricing spectrum. Cody's bid came in the middle and we felt it was very fair. I even price checked them with my friend who owns a pool building company in another state and he said he would charge me the same price for our design and he confirmed Cody Pools to be very reputable. The wife and I did get off to a rocky start with our designer but if you encounter the same issue, I certainly would not let that deter you from using Cody. Once the real work starts, it's only Project Managers and construction people you deal with. Our Project Manager was Shawn Barnacle and he was absolutely amazing. If he is on your project, you are lucky and I guarantee you will be pleased. He was always responsive and always on your side any time you had a question, concern, adjustment to be made, etc... We shared pots of coffee on many a morning as we discussed where we were in the process, what's left to complete and how much longer it will take. He's been in this business a looong time and seen it all. He is honest about every aspect of the project (even if you don't like what he tells you) and is absolute about you being happy with the finished product. Some things to be mindful of - Hidden costs: we ended up having to re-route electric wires and gas lines, both of which Cody does not perform and were additional expenses. This includes sprinkler system repair/re-routes after they complete the pool. Also, the yard gets COMPLETELY destroyed during this build process and needs to be re-sod/landscaped afterward which is another expense. Cody is happy to recommend contractors who can do all of this work and we found those recommendations to be solid. (Shawn will make sure no one takes advantage of you.) Timing: whatever time frame you have in mind, add another month....at least. This is a seriously invasive process and you should set your expectations accordingly before you even begin. From initial design to naked swimming, I would say it took 6 months. We did have sporadic weather delays contributing to this and under optimal circumstances, I believe they could start/finish the entire process within 4 months. Overall, we were very happy with Cody Pools and if you're crazy enough to chase that dream of swimming naked in your own backyard, I strongly recommend hiring Shawn, his beard, and Cody Pools to help make it come true.

We had such a great experience with the pool installation. We had this issue a few years ago as well and cancelled. We figured it was worth trying again. This time was so much worse. If you're prepared to watch over the tech to make sure they do the basics it's probably fine. For us, that ends up making it no longer a timesaver. Might as well diy. At least I know I'll try to get the chemicals right. I'm not bothering to try to recover the money that essentially went towards nothing, and I almost didn't post this, but it felt irresponsible not to warn others to keep their guard up. I was at the show room and was amazed at the quality of the Marquis hot tubes in the show room verses what I received. Southern Leisure is doing the right thing replacing it. I did not want nor buy a blemished hot tub I paid full price for it. Now its up to Marquis to build my replacement to the quality standards I have seen in other Marquis hot tubes. Colby with Southern Leisure was great he was very understanding of my frustration with the issues and in the end came up with a solution that was just and fair.

They wanted service fee up front and would pay a mandatory labor fee and then some no matter if it took 10 minutes to fix or more. I requested online a few days ago for service. No reply. I requested again today. They called me back this time. Issue is no power and main C/B is tripping and will not reset. The labor charges were still in place again this time around but they had no service opening until June 10th. Today is May 7th. Shawna suggest I go buy a Harbour Freight submersible pump to circulate my water and that would be around $60. Are you kidding me??? I need this fixed this week. I stated I had two other guys from Angie's wanting the work but I wanted Atlas whom I bought it from but she immediately voice wise got testy and stated she is closing my ticket and hung up. I'm done recommending Atlas for anything.
