We stop by weekly to get our water tested and follow their guidance on the treatment of our new pool... so far so good.

The last two times I visited this location, the guy at the counter is clearly no more knowledgeable about pool maintenance then I am. And I am a pool amateur. It clearly doesn't take much to put some water in a tester and read what the computer spits out. He had no ability to explain to me exactly what I needed to get my water correct. I have previously been guided as to what I need and how to use it. This guy was so ignorant he quickly talked as if I know what the hell he was talking about and got as far away from me as possible. He did the same to the lady before and gave her pretty much the same suggestions. Sounds a little standard verbiage. Lost faith in this store. read more

The name on the receipt is Jason M. I went in there because he was rude to my wife. He asked if that was my wife and I said yes. He started complaining about my wife. I told him I didn't want to hear him complain about my wife. He continued complaining and I told him again I didn't want to hear it he told me to get out of his store. I just wanted to let you know how pleased I was with the service I received from Deanna Gibbs #442 who was filling in at my local Leslie's Pool today. I was getting my outdoor spa started back up after a number of years of not being used. Deanna was so patient, kind and helpful. She tested the water, showed me what chemicals I needed and gave a brief explanation on each item. Always so helpful here, They test your pool water for free here, and they give you immediate feed back on what you can do to improve or "fix" your pool water. When you are taking care of your pool on your own, they always are able to describe the chemistry balance issues in layman's terms and help make maintenance a "breeze.." Well, at least more than you'd expect. You don't have to remember everything because they can print out what needs to be done so you have the instructions once you're at home. *** Love the new staff! *** We recently moved into the area and started doing business at the store on Lake Pleasant and Happy Valley. Leslie's Pools has always been a reliable technical resource, answering direct questions; sort of like a Google search. But with the new staff, I feel like we've found a partner to help with our pool needs. Kyle and crew sought to understand our situation, asking questions to determine best and long-term solutions. For example, when we needed a new pool pump, Kyle asked questions to understand our context and help us make the best choice. We learned a less expensive pump actually worked better for our automation. The result of being treated this way is greater trust and confidence in Leslie's, especially at Happy Valley. I have been coming to this location for over 2 years now. The staff is helpful and friendly and it has been the same 2 faces. High turnover is always a red flag for me. I get my water tested regularly and find their products are high quality as far as the chemicals go. I could get chlorine tabs from Walmart cheaper but the content of chlorine won't be as good. We also used their service to clean our pool filter and the technician was friendly and did a good job. This location is great read more

RIP OFF!!!! I needed a part for my Barracuda pool cleaning system. I went to the store knowing that Barracuda parts are expensive. I found what I needed but they had the part priced at $39.99 for a small piece of plastic. I used my barcode scanner and found I could get the same part for $20...what a rip off. I will NEVER shop at Leslie's again. I'm all about businesses making a profit...but come on....don't shop here...look around and price shop... read more

I had excellent service at this location. Took in a water sample to have tested. Eric did a great job with the analysis. His report saved me approx $250 from my pool service suggested I drained the pool and add new chemicals due to a very high calcium. Found out the water calcium levels as well as the pH and all the other indicators where in the average tolerance range...BAM..saved me $250. read more

Purchased a spa a little over a year ago and used this location on a bi weekly basis to test my water. Old staff always seemed put out to help when asking questions. Older guy was always moody and never new he if was going to be nice or short with you. Sooooooo Happy when new staff arrived. Now greeted with a friendly hello when I walk thru the door and a true willingness to offer help. Kyle, store manager is always friendly and helpful. read more

Leslie's saves us. For the first time in 7 years we had algae in our pool. We went Leslie's and they tested our water and sent us home with everything we needed. They included step by step directions with how much of each chemical to use. We always have excellent service and support. You guys should be called the Absolute Best Pool Supplies. I called and dealt with two total gentlemen, Nate and Greg on the phone and ordered a new pool pump. Not only was it a great price, the service was unbelievable. I had the pump in my hands, installed and running in less than 36 hours from placing the order. ( I live in the outskirts of Peoria.) What a waste of my time - we have a small above ground pool that we have had problems with lately - seems like the more we try to fix it the worse it gets and I called to see about them testing our water and getting "professional" advice. Greg was very nice on the phone when I called but evidently was off as soon as we got there and said some other kid that was there would help us and Greg promptly left. I did not check his name tag but the kid asked what type of pool we had and how big it was and then immediately said to follow these instructions on the sheet he handed us and said we had two options treat it like this (i.e. sheet) or drain it and start over. THEN he tested our water and with the results promptly said the same thing, over and over - I told him we have to put chems in everyday and I check levels everyday and we got some algae but were getting it clean but now since it rained it's gotten worse. He just looked at my husband and regurgitated exactly what he had already said 4 times by now. We even mentioned that we were planning on getting a salt filter and he was like a robot playing the same track over and over. I wanted to talk to a professional and get some real advice I would probably have been persuaded to purchase products from them but I won't even bother to go back in and have them test our water again because we clearly do better looking up You Tube videos - they are over priced anyway. read more

Mom and pop return policy. I used to buy all of my supplies there - $300-$400 a year. I recently bought a pool brush that broke the 2nd time I used it and they would not allow an exchange. I now buy all of my supplies at Lowe's, located across the street. read more
