Whew!!! Read the reviews for this location prior to arriving and went in prepared (low expectations). I arrived with a cart of pool equipment in tow. There was a woman being helped when I entered and one employee (which explains why they probably don't answer the phone, as so many people have complained about- budget/management issue). Carlos greeted me and he was so attentive and friendly. He gave me great advice and fixed/installed a worn out piece on my filter. He looked over the remainder of my equipment and said it fine. Hours really suck. Makes no sense. Most people in the AV don't get home until their closing time. 6pm and 5 on tuesdays....very inconvenient. I always end up ordering on Amazon (which is cheaper) or going to lowes/home depot instead. And usually out of stock on debris baskets and leaf catchers anyways. read more

IF YOU HAVE TO SHOP AT LESLIE'S choose the LANCASTER store and ask for Cody. On Dec 26th, I realized my pool pump was no longer functioning on my pool. I called the local Leslie's Pool Supply(Diamond Bar) thinking I could get the part quick and have a plumber come and put it in. The local Leslie's said the only place they had the pump in stock was in Lancaster. I called and talked to Cody and he was nice enough to take photos of the item and send it to me. It looked good, so I drove all the way from Diamond Bar to Lancaster to purchase the pump. He was kind and courteous and happy to help me out. Thanks Cody! Then 3 days later when I got a different pump installed, and I got the we cannot return items purchased at another store, it will cost you a 15% restocking fee, and if we do not stock it you cannot return the item here (for more details, see my reviews of Chino Hills, Diamond Bar and La Puente stores) CODY and LANCASTER saved me again. Yes I drove to Lancaster to not let Leslie's or the CHINO HILLS store get $50 from me because the item was opened. It was opened to take pictures before I drove the 96 miles the first time to buy it. I went into Leslie's this afternoon, and was very unsatisfied with the service (or lack of it) There was only one employee (young blonde female) She was waiting on another customer and for the 10 minutes we stood at the counter, she never once made eye contact with us, or said she'd be right with us. Went in to buy a above ground pool. We got the 14ft round. I didn't catch the Managers name he helped us. We got all of our questions answered and good advise. The second time I went in was to test the water I was surprised that I got a print out of all results and it was entered into the app. So third time I visit the store it was very busy I didn't get greeted there was a long line the guys were helping each customer and giving the customer there full attiontion when it was my turn I got the same great service and good advise. My husband thought it would be a great Idea to go to the local pool store to buy NEEDED products and receive some helpful advice. To my surprise he came home with a trunk full of stuff. As he is talking to me about the products he shows me 3 bags of Shock. Are freaking kidding me! Our pool is brand new, not green. So we go through the stuff and we pick out what was actually necessary. I went to return it and they told me they won't take chemicals back. I told her that someone took advantage of him and we don't need all this stuff. She just said "sorry" we are not allowed to take it back. We have been going to Leslie's Pool store for our supplies for a little over 6 years now. The current Manager Chad is more friendly, helpful and knowledgeable then the previous manager. Him and his current staff have a friendly disposition towards customers and work really hard to make sure that everyone is taken care of in a timely manner. They make sure that you understand the chemical processes that you have to do with owning a pool. Chad goes above and beyond to insure that his customers get what they need in a timely and efficient manner. I recently bought a house in the area with a pool. Prior to this purchase we had no experience with maintaining a pool. We needed to purchase some chemicals to save our pool after an algae infestation. I went to Leslie's Pool Supplies to purchase such chemicals. I had a few questions that I needed answers to regarding my pool. Chad an employee from the store kindly answered all of my questions, gave me some useful tips, and offered to test my water for free. I continue to go to Leslie's for all my pool needs because they answer all my questions and provide great customer service. I bought a pool cleaning robot this Saturday, Chad was kind enough to teach us how to assemble it. When we got home we tried connecting the robot, we couldn't get it to work. We called the store to express our concerns. Chad was kind enough to come to our home on a Saturday night and get our robot going. He also answered some of our questions regarding our pool. We were surprised that he was willing to come to our home and assist us with our issues. We are extremely satisfied with the customer service they offer. Although the store is a bit pricey we will continue to purchase at this location because I rather be sure than sorry when purchasing items for my pool.
