Again, the best customer service!! Working on the Polaris pool sweep, and needed a swivel fitting because the hose cracked next to it. Bad. Went in found the swivel fitting ($15.00) and the two nuts ($5.00 each), was a bit sticker shocked (all Polaris parts will impress you). I was talking to the manager, Dominic, and was telling him of my latest Polaris adventure. "Your fitting is good, if you want, I will just saw off that bad nut," he said. I wound up saving $20.00 by his suggestion. The store may have not gained that $20.00 in sales, BUT, they retained a raving fan of the store, staff and management! These folks are very knowledgeable, friendly, and customer service oriented. I highly recommend coming here for any of your pool needs. read more

I've a good experience because of a very good and attentive manager. The prices are OK and the staff is good. HOWEVER, I called to see about getting a quote from Leslie's corporate office to replace my 2 big pumps (huge 60K gal pool), salt system, maybe solar, and a new controller panel. I always get 3 quotes but they wanted to charge $49 to come to my home for a site survey. In other words, they already know they are too expensive and are trying to cover the cost of the poor guy that has to make a house call. Lowe's does the same thing and don't buy from them either. I fully expect that companies like this will go by the wayside due to poor executive staff decisions. read more

I've been using Leslies for over 5yrs now and recently ran into some issues. I went in looking to purchase pool products when the clerk suggested I use the combo pack they were now promoting. He rang me up and the price was awesome. $89 for everything I needed. You can't beat that. Then he mentioned that it must be a typo because the price was too low. He again rang it up using the flier provided to him by the district and again the price rang up the same. He now called the district manager and explained the prices. The outcome was that I was now charged $299. I called the corporate office with an answer that I would receive a call back from a district manager.....3 months later and no call back. Just recently I went in to purchase a solar cover. Found one my size, again the clerk pointed out the sale sign which again was an awesome price. $89!!! Ring it up, oh wait now it rings up at $159. The clerk is confused as am I. The on scene manager points out he must use the bar code on the package and compare it to her price sheet. Oh wow, not on her sheet. Sorry Sir, that's the wrong sign. "No the sign is right in front of the solar cover and it states solar covers" Sorry sir, wrong sign placement and the real price is $159. I left upset and the sign remained in place. I don't think I will be using Leslies any longer due to the great customer service. read more

If you want service at this place make sure there is nobody else in there, also make sure nobody else comes in. If you're lucky enough, nobody will be in the store when you walk in and you will receive great service albeit with issues (knowledge base). If someone else walks in the manager will not even acknowledge them until he is done with you (and he will take his time). Great for you (even though it's a little uncomfortable and makes you feel rushed) but bad for everyone else waiting around tapping their feet while they wait for someone just to look their way. I've been on both sides of the fence and they're equally frustrating. They're pretty damn pricey in there too. I asked them for a price on filters. Online I can get both filters for my system cheaper than one from this store. I like supporting local businesses but I don't like throwing money away either. I asked the manager about VFDs..he says they don't use VFDs in residential applications only commercial. Apparently they only use VS(peed)Ds in residential. I'm sorry but this is a pretty dumb thing to say when you have two VFDs on your floor and are trying to sell them. VFDs are VSDs. VSDs that are used in pool applications are pumps that alter speed by varying the frequency of the power delivered to it, aka variable frequency drive.. vfd. VFDs are the corner stone of the pool pump market now and I'd expect a manager of a pool store to know what they are. read more

Okay. The service got better and better. TaMara walked me through step by step with each treatment. She took every pesky phone call I made. Two weekends ago she was working in the Reno store. I had a question, tracked her down and she once again took the time to assist and even called back to check in. Now our pool is beautiful, ready for the season and I am so appreciative of TaMara's great customer service. I only hope that Leslie's realizes what an asset she is to their organization. read more

2 stars because of their prices. Believe me I understand everyone needs to make a profit but their mark up is beyond ludicrous. A plastic lock nut was $6.47. For about .27 cents worth of plastic. A bottle of vitamin C (used to remove stains) is $50!!! Nothing like a monopoly. Never go here!!! Dishonest manager. I took my pool sweep into see if it could get repaired because the wheel had broken off. When I dropped it off they said they would call me with a quote. I waited a few days and never heard back so I called back and spoke to Jen the "manager" who told me to fix my pool sweeps broken wheel it was going to be $400 and that I should buy a new one. After agreeing with her that it didn't make sense to repair the pool sweep I figured I would do an internet search for the "bottom piece" that was going to cost me $400. Sure enough found the "bottom piece" on Amazon for $113. Once I figured this out I knew she was a liar and went and picked up my pool sweep. When I was there I asked Jen AGAIN how much the bottom piece was to repair?? AGAIN!! she told me $400!! With all this said I ordered the part from amazon, spent 5mins putting it together a caught a liar in the act. Tried to return a product that did not work at all and made a mess out of my pool. One of the sales people sold me this product to patch a bad spot in my plaster and when I tried to return it, Randy the manager told me that they would not refund my 25.00. Wow...What a great store and staff!! We'd come in about a year ago after moving to Folsom from bay area. We needed four big filters for our pool & Leslie's had them in stock (no waiting for an internet order to arrive and extra charges for shipping). So, when our bottom pool sweeper started dysfunctioning I gave them a call. Dominic was very knowledgeable and helpful, and said they could take care of rebuilding it like new. All I had to do was disengage the unit (removing hoses) and bring it in. When I did, I was surprised to learn (by serial #) the unit was 10 yrs old! Dominic took our unit and, in just a couple days, it looked like new -- new wheels, gears, internal tubes and all parts replaced that were worn. Brought it home, hooked it up, and now it runs like a charm. Couldn't have done it without Leslie's and certainly couldn't have done it without that personable, friendly and knowledgeable Dominic who I was lucky enough to arrive when he was on duty. Highly recommend this Leslie's location if you have any problems or questions about your pool or equipment! read more

What I like about this place is that you can bring a sample of your pool water and they will test it and print out detailed instructions on getting the water balanced--and there's no charge for that service--which is nice. And they keep a record of your pool's specifications so that the measurements will be customized--helpful! What I'm not crazy about is that it just seems painfully understaffed? Check out can take a long time, I'm not even an overly impatient-in a hurry type person--but, even my patience is tested here! But, I think it goes back to the understaffed issue--b/c for instance the guy that rang me up today was side tracked twice while ringing me up--once to help a woman carry out a heavy bag and again to help some ppl that I guess had to order something? Well, that's where another employee would come in handy(!) The woman in line behind me let out a heavy sigh and took off out the door empty handed! Again, another staff person would help her also b/c she obviously had a question and there was no one on the floor to answer it--I wonder how many others have left empty handed before her?! The staff, despite being over-extended, are very knowledgeable and fairly friendly. read more

My Polaris 360 sweeper would not back up while sweeping the pool, but worked perfectly if I kept pulling the hose and backing it myself. I called Leslie's and they said they were look at it out for free. When I brought it in they recommended the parts that needed to be replaced. They charged $150, and when I got the sweeper back it still would not back up. I called and they said "Oh, your back-up part is not working. That is another $90." But that was the problem in the first place!!! The sweeper worked perfectly otherwise!!! I opted to not spend the $90, and just keep pulling the hose. Now, a few months later the wheels and bearings have seized - the parts Leslie's did replace. I called again, and they do not guarantee their work. I ordered a new Polaris 360 from someone else, and I will never go to Leslie's again. read more

Five stars for the store employees but none for management. I had excellent customer service on Saturday from a store employee Kim. She was pleasant and quick to help me even though the store was very busy and she was juggling a few other people after a new manager I've never seen before (Terry?) told me and a few other customers that someone would be with us shortly and didn't help even though she seemed to be doing nothing at the time. Kim and a couple other employees Jordana and Justin (I think) managed the store together expertly together helping all of us while she watched. Funny smell of the store though seemed like cigarettes? Strange for a store that should smell like chlorine and if it had not been for the amazing employees I would go to another store next time because the smell and lack of help from management. If you need something and are in Folsom and go to the store ask for one of these employees and stay away from the manager because she's not much help and will just direct you to someone else anyway. read more

Randy and others at this location are friendly, helpful, and are focused on customer service. It is consistent and although at times the store is busy, they give you their full attention when available. Nice job. read more

I bought a pool sweeper a year ago and it fail a month ago. Brought it back to get it fixed. The store manager told me it was under warranty. Well over a month later they are still waiting for the parts from Polaris. They don't get support from Manufacturers. Anyway the Store manager just had a new one opened and give me a new sweeper. That is Customer Service at his best. They will have my business for sure when it is time to change my pump to a variable one. No need for me to shop around. Thanks again read more

My pool pump quit recently during a hot spell, the day before the 4th of July holiday, so you can imagine the panic I was in to get it fixed. While other pool repair places that I wont mention were unable tell me what the humming noise coming from my pump was , Steve at Leslies in Folsom was able to immediately identify my problem as a faulty capacitor. He even went to the trouble of walking me thru the process of identifying the capacitor to find its replacement number. While the "other" pool company said they could possibly be out to see me in a week, with Steve's help I was able to locate a new part and my pool was up and running in a few days. read more

If you want to go to a quality pool supply store with knowledgeable, helpful staff do NOT go to Folsom Leslie's Pools!! My experiences here have always been overly negative with ignorant, rude, condescending staff with a knack for arguing instead of having just a polite civil interaction. They have the rare combination of being both ignorant and dumb, so in their small view of customers, everybody is stupid but them. I'm not even expecting them to be helpful, just civil The Leslie pools in Roseville is much, much better. I recommend avoiding the Folsom store at all costs! read more
