My experience at the Folsom store on 8/17/24 with manager Misty was fantastic. I went in looking for parts for our older pool sweep but after learning more about the new units and why I should purchase one from Leslie's, I walked out with a brand new P39 Polaris pool cleaner!I On the contrary, I started at the El Dorado HIlls store looking for parts for our older Pentair pool cleaner. I was very disappointed with the lack of service and genuine care for me as a customer. The young man who was "helping me" was completely disinterested in being at work. He kept his hands in his pockets and slowly walked around the store as he "looked" for a part for our pool cleaner (he seemed to be staring at the ceiling as he strolled through the store). He then told me to go to a different store for help. Which we did. We live in EDH, but will take our business to the Folsom store moving forward. read more

I'm not usually one to leave a bad review... however, my family is new to the pool world, and I have no clue what I'm doing. I stopped in here a few days ago and the employee was more than helpful (which is why I'm giving two stars). I drove 30 min to this store today because it's the closest one to where I live. I thought I did my research and knew what I needed (1 inch chlorine tabs and pool filter sand). I asked the employee (Anthony) what type of sand I needed for my filter and he said it depended on the type of filter so I showed him the link to the filter we bought. He said he still didn't know. He then told me they had 50lb bags of sand and I asked if that would be enough or would I need to buy 2? He told me he didn't know. At this point I was already annoyed with his attitude towards me and had the sense he couldn't care less if I was a customer today or not. I asked him if he had the ability to look up the filter I had in his system and tell me how much sand it required. I know this is possible because when I stopped in a few days ago the employee was looking things up for me on her computer. Anthony then told me no, because all he would be doing is googling it which I was capable of doing. It's safe to say I decided to leave and not buy anything today and will be finding a different store in the area. read more

Have been coming here for a couple years after going through 3 unreliable pool maintenance services. They do free water treatments and have always given me good advice whenever I've had pool water or equipment issues. The chemicals are expensive but I guess that's too be expected post pandemic. read more

The stars all depends on who is staffing the store that day. Some are really knowledgeable and others just started working there. They have all different styles in helping you. And I had one person said I have to do it this was because I was trained. All I wanted was a water test and results and she had to pull from the shelves all of the products I would need, even though I own all the products. The older gentlemen was my favorite person. He was a bit gruff in the beginning, and as I asked questions, he warmed up and told me everything I needed. He was the best. I've only seen him once. I'd like to meet him again. I have a hot tub and every time I go they cross off the phosphates section. That is until I walked in twice and they sold me phosphate chemicals. After that all my other water test results, no one has said for me to use those chemical as they are for pools only. I'll hold on to them till they expire. Maybe they will come in handy. I was fortunate to have asked a question of Misty. LUCKY ME! Misty is one of the most knowledgeable persons I've dealt with at a pool supply store. I had numerous issued to be addressed. Misty offered multiple methods and supply for each of these issues. She had another store transfer filters I needed, and I picked them up the next morning at the Folsom store. I explained that I have not has luck with getting a pool service company to service my pool. She offered a referral AND said if that didn't work out, to come back in and she will give me step by step instructions to get the chemicals right and then keep them right. (she said if I can do it, you can too!) Misty was great. The prices and the rewards points are so great. Its like having an instant coupon waiting for you at check out. Each Leslie Pool supply is very different.. The best one is Folsom, Blue ravine. Needed a new pool pump. Teri went out of her way to find the right one for me. This is after she told me she was the only one working and sorry for the delay. Called me, told me the SKU to get it online, stayed on the phone with me to make sure i ordered the right one. Horrible experience. They didnt have a part (thats fine). However they said the one in Folsom had it so we drove 35 min. When we arrived they had nothing even close to the oart we needed and were going to send us to yet another store, another 20 minutes further from the Folsom one. Um no thanks. Came in about a week ago to ask a few questions about equipment replacement. There was a two employees male and female. I don't know the guy's name, but he had a mustache and glasses to my recollection. The guy was impatient, and acted bothered by questions about pool supplies. Who else would be the best person to answer my questions, if not a person that works in a pool supplies store. It was unpleasant, but still got most of the answers I was looking for since I didn't take it personally, but it doesn't mean I am okay with that, or deserve to feel as if I am (customer), bothering. We have an older Polaris 380 pool sweep. Recently I noticed that it had slowed down and wasn't cleaning the pool bottom as effectively as it had in the past. I took my unit into Leslie's Pool Supplies over the weekend and met Adam Winslow. Adam looked at my unit and told me I had a broken drive belt. For $20 he replaced both drive belts, replaced a couple of screws, replace a couple of zip ties & cleaned out my clogged jets. I am amazed at how well my unit is working! I can't tell you how pleased I am with the Polaris repair that I got from Adam. If I have any pool repair issue in the future, I will not hesitate to call on Adam. read more

Misty gave EXCELLENT service- brought in my broken pool sweep today and instead of trying to sell me a $700-$1400 new pool sweep she quickly disassembled my sweep and after diagnosing it, sold me some. We are new pool owners and just moved in to the area. Wasi has been so patient and kind explaining everything that needs to be done with our pool and not trying to sell us unnecessary chemicals. Our pool was a bit green when we moved in, but now it looks nice and clear. I even interrupted his lunch break in the parking lot to get HIS opinion over others in the store. I usually go to the Roseville location but on my second visit to the Folsom location this one is the best. When I walked in the door on my second visit Wasi remembered me and my pool situation. It is rare to find such great customer service these days and I was impressed with Wasi's helpfulness. He is also VERY knowledgable! I have been a Leslie's customer for 20 years and it is rare that someone can teach me something new about my pool. I will be switching to Power Powder instead of Color Brite to lower my CYA and start using Perfect Weekly to keep my phosphates at zero. For some reason this summer has been a challenge with my pool and with Wasi's help we have got it under control and it should be easier to maintain. Thank you Wasi! Be very very careful if you do business with these guys. They are blooming idiots that don't know what they talking about and are famous fort his giving bad information. I bought a house in January that has an in ground pool. I am not totally naive to how to care for a pool as I took care of my moms pool when my stepdad died. So all I need is a little bit of pointing me in the right direction as to how to maintain the new equipment to me. I was told by the sales rep at the Folsom store to put in D/E after cleaning the filter. I told them I needed a mineral cartridge that ended with the numbers 125, when I got home I noticed that she had given me the one that ended with 126. Since I had no faith in this business I took my receipt and cartridge to the anatomy's store where he was rude as heck but told me they had the cartridge at the Davis and Roseville stores. I called the Davis store to make sure they had it which guess what....they didn't. So I called the Roseville store where the said they had one left and would save it for me. They were unhappy campers that repeated three times that they didn't want to be there and on top of that didn't honor their coupon for 40% off of cartridges. I ended up getting $15 off a $126 item. I just got off the phone with customer service who apologized but only offered to let me use my 40% coupon that I still have if I ordered anything else. I told him that I was not planning on doing anymore business with them since they had such bad service. He said "was there anything else he could help me with". Lol !!!! Leslie's Pool Service on Blue Ravine is under new management. Service was top-notch. Our pool was green and they prescribed 3 different chemicals w a detailed timeframe of when to put the chemicals in the pool. Our pool is now blue again, but prescribed some chemicals to eliminate the cloudiness. Very professional and knowledgable staff! read more

I worked with Misty to get a part for my Hayward pool filter. One of my main plumbing connectors for the filter had cracked so bad that I had to shut down the filter. I've spent a couple thousand here over the past 2yrs. I walked in to ask about a hot tub filter replacement. I waited in line and when it was my turn the employee behind the counter kind of rudely asked if I was ready. I walked up to the counter and showed her the filter part I needed. She walked away without saying anything then came back (not sure what she walked away for). Then she asks if I knew what type of hot tub it was for. I showed her the picture of the brand and she smirked and said she couldn't help. I then asked where the filter section was and she just pointed me to the back. She didn't even offer to help me try to look for a matching filter. I looked myself but could not find a match. I left and did a search on my phone and within seconds found out that Leslie's sells the filter online. I ended up ordering it from Amazon instead, something I didn't want to do as I'd rather support a local pool supply store. It is sad that one employee who is not happy with her job there can ruin this locations reputation. In my optimism she was super rude and unprofessional for no reason. I live in El Dorado Hills, But I get the Best Service Ever in the Folsom Leslie's. I have an older pool and the manger makes time for me to hunt for the right fix. They are SOo Helpful. Today I called the El Dorado Leslie's (it's closer and my pool needed part for the filter) my pool filter had a leak and I woke up to find my pool with only 1 1/2 feet of water. So I had to FIX that Leak. The El Dorado Leslie's said they didn't carry that O Ring part. We Asked if any Leslie"s carried it, They said they would check and came back saying No Leslie's has it. We Called the Folsom Leslie's and they said THEY HAD THE PART but TO MAKE SURE THEY ASKED THE RIGHT QUESTIONS and said they WOULD HOLD THE PART IN THE CHECKOUT STAND. I went there and PICKED UP THE RIGHT O RING and IT SOLVED ALL OUR PROBLEMS! Every Time I got to the El Dorado Leslie's say We CAN'T HELP YOU or we don't carry that part. They literally chase away business! Every Time I Go to the Folsom Leslie's; the Manger is at the Checkout stand and (if necessary) Spends Time looking through Manuals searching or calling for parts from the Manufacture -I have never left the Folsom Without the Right Part - if they don't have in stock - they Order it! This review is very specific to the Leslie's store in Folsom. Simply an excellent all-around experience buying a pool cleaner here. On the phone, Adam was attentive, helpful, and informative - gave me all the info I needed to assure they had the right model in stock. In the store, Taylor couldn't have been more helpful and customer-friendly. I was especially impressed that the employees, when not exactly sure about a particular detail, went to the trouble to make sure they were giving me the absolutely accurate info (unlike the very disappointing El Dorado Hills store). And, every single employee was wearing a mask (again unlike the EDH store). Mask wearing at this point in time is a huge message to me that a business - management and staff - have respect and concern for me, their customer. Called Leslie's for a pool cartridge cleaner check on inventory and product quote. Jen the clerk answers the phone and says she will get me the information if I can wait 3 minutes. It's a small store that I could walk from end to end in less than minute. 30 minutes later (I could have run 2 miles in that time), I call her back on another line and she apologizes and says she has been non-stop busy. She gets me the quote in 20 seconds on the second call 30 minutes later. BTW, in comparison, I called ACE Hardware at American River Canyon, for the same information and spoke to Scott. Scott says "I don't know, but let me run over to the aisle and check for your right now. In 20 seconds, he gives me the name of the item, it's price and also how to use it. So, ask yourself what kind of customer service would you rather have, and which employee do you want working for you, Scott or Jen? read more

I went to Leslie Pool Supply for what seemed to be a broken pool sweep. However, the lady who works there, Jennifer, kept it overnight, took it apart and found just a Damaged O-ring. She replaced it, put the thing back together and charged me $4.19. Pretty amazing if you ask me. We will definitely be back for any other pool needs we might have. read more

Date 5/25/2017 Unfortunately I have had to make a number of returns over the years. Almost all merchants ask for your credit card and give you a receipt and you leave their facility. NOT LESLIE POOLS! Having a customer receive the THIRD DEGREE goes down as my worst experience of making any return. Congratulations!!! Having a customer to spell his first name, last name, address, city, state, zip code, phone number and email address is insane to process a $16.69 return!! The boys working in there seemed helpful and useful -grabbed things and helped me out with my questions --- girl at counter (Bailey-from receipt) was a disappointment - after a good long uncomfortable stare at each other, I finally asked how much my total was, so I could pay .... didn't ring my order up properly and I had to keep asking if the total was correct because I knew it was too low for everything I needed. After I drove away, I realized she didn't ring up items I came in for specifically, that one of the boys pulled aside for me while I shopped around, so I had to turn around and go back - she was clueless, and obviously doesn't care about her job or the people shopping there, or making sales, either she needs to be trained or replaced because that made me not ever want to go back to this location. read more
