You know I remember after visiting this place today why I never go here because about 6 months ago I had the exact same experience. When you walk into the place everybody there ignores you they don't ask you if they can help you, nothing and I remember this from the last time I was there. It was the same thing you could wander the store aimlessly and nobody will ask you if you need help. It's actually quite bizarre, considering their prices are three times more than anywhere else on the planet Earth you think they give you a little customer service. Always go to the Antelope store for great help and knowledgeable workers....I have had good luck in the past and then this past week went to the store on Douglas, the store on Five Star and called customer service. Nobody had any information regarding the questions/problems I was having. I walked into the Antelope store today and was greeted by a friendly staff person who knew exactly what I was talking about and helped me with no problem. Worst of the worst. At least their Walerga road location. Never see the same employees twice. Except the first guy. He tried to tell us he had no record of our purchases despite the fact we used a credit card. Liar. Fortunately, the equipment manufacturers were more honorable with respect to their warranties. Leslie's tried to get out of having to service them if the manufacturer is paying them instead of the customer. Bye bye leslies Ok, a few years down the line here... I vowed to never go to Leslie's again, however, circumstance forced me to three times. The guy who lied is gone. A new lady, (I'll have to get her name) was there each time. She went above and beyond to help. Even tracked down a gasket for an automatic chlorine pellet feeder on my pump/filter system that Leslie's doesn't carry. Then, she held onto it for three weeks when I forgot to pick it up. She remembered me by sight and brought the part out without me even reminding her who I was. Keep this lady Leslie's. Recently our pool pump went out. Went over to Leslie's pools in antelope. Maaannn can I just say how smooth everything went! They were running a promotion on free installation which was music to my ears. Pitched a Jacuzzi Digital Pump and schedule a technician to come and get it installed. Joel, the technician, gave me a call in advance letting me know he's on his way to the store to pick up the pump and game me a call once again when he was here. Even tho the pump we had was one of the oldest ones he's ever seen and electrical was ran underground. Joel didn't hesitate to make it work and got the job done in less than an hour!!!! Honestly this is my first ever review, don't really do many of these ever but this man needs to be recognized! THANK YOU JOEL! Today, July 15, I went to the Antelope, CA store (#532) to get some hoses. I told the sales person, Amarie H, #64185, that I needed two 6-foot hoses and gave her the broken hose stub to match the size. She was gone about 5 minutes and returned with one 12-foot hose. I repeated that I wanted two 6-foot hoses. She took the hose back to the store room and after another 5 minutes returned with FOUR 3-foot hoses!! I repeated that i wanted two 6-foot hoses so she disappeared again and finally returned with two 6-foot hoses. After she rang up the purchase, I noticed that the newest hoses were too large, my sample fit inside her hoses. She took off around the store looking for the right size hose and I finally told her to reverse the charge. I went to another pool supplier and got my hoses, first time! I WILL NEVER shop this store again. read more

Want to give a shout out to Todd for his help today. After battling replacing a new filter replacement all morning only to continue getting leaks, went to Leslie's for help / advice. I did have sense to take my old o ring with (suspecting could be culprit). Sure enough the issue. Though none of mine in stock Todd called all surrounding stores and they too didn't have. Jenn checked my water and recommended a couple of things...which I bought. Sure Leslie's is not the cheapest but the info I got from Jenn was well worth the little bit extra. The personnel here, especially Amarie & the Distric Manager Tiere are incompetent. They told my husband our pool wasn't 14,000 gallons, but 1,400 gallons & gave him chemicals which were inadequate. Then when he came home I told him to return with the correct gallons & get the correct chemicals. I called Amarie & told her to correct our account with the 14,000 gallons. NO POOL IS 1,400 gallons, an idiot would know that. Then when he returned, she charged him twice plus the additional amount. Our account was charged for both transactions which she would not credit the 1st one. The district mgr. also refused to credit back the original amount & said it could take up to 10 business days. This was never mentioned at the time of purchase, so I contacted our credit union & they said that Leslie could fax them the release so we would be credited. They refused. As far as I am concerned, this is fraudulent business practice. Beware!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Not only did i spend unnecessary money on these high priced chemicals, but spend $120 for stuff that didn't work. I went in to test my water and over heard another person with the same complaint. The good: So the store is 1/2 mile from me and ok. it's convenient but very expensive. I can buy the same pool chemicals at Target, Wal-Mart or Amazon for half the price. They constantly try to upsell me on things. They are very knowledgeable and i'm sure they are right but I feel i'm talking to a used car salesman each time I visit. The bad: I took my pool vacuum cleaner to them because it stopped working. The repair shop told me that the gears were shot and I needed a new one. they only last a few years and then they go bad. they said it's time to upgrade to one of their magnificent $800-$1500 vacuums, which were on sale by the way. So, I decided for that much money, I might as well take mine apart and see what was wrong. I took it apart, which was super easy, cleaned it...and the GEARS WERE PERFECT! not one stripped gear. I put it back together, threw it in the pool and has been running great for months! I may go back for minor things because of the convenience, but I will never trust them again when I need pool parts repaired! I spent a lot of money there but no longer...time to go elsewhere! read more

I have never been compelled to leave a review before. Unfortunately, it appears I have to give at least one star to be able comment. Only one person was working. After waiting more than 30 minutes in line for service was asked what I was in for. Advised a salt chlorinator cell test. Waited about 40 minutes longer till finally was next for service and told he didn't know how to perform the test. I have never had good or competent service from this Leslie's pool ever. Was dissatisfied on their warranties policy on there solar pool covers. Is advertised as 5 year warranty on product as well as advertised in plain view next to product. Was able to exchange product before without complications and now as was told by district manager, "it's not really guaranteed" they (covers) aren't made to last 5 years or they would too many people asking for new one and it's not profitable. Bottom line, there is no real guarantee. Won't even pro rate an exchange. Shame on them, deception is on their side I guess.j read more

I feel like I've been burnt multiple times by this store. Staff constantly changes; all complain of poor management and scheduling. Their 'thing' is to Sell Sell Sell. Now my alkalinity is off the chart because a staff member (whom has already quit) told me I must add a whole bag of Alkalinity Up. Seems one gets a different story each time about $omething you need to add ASAP. This place is very close to home, but as far as I'm concerned, it no longer exists. I wouldn't shop at ANY Leslies anymore; I've received basically lousy cold service from their Roseville, Citrus Heights and Arden stores too.
