Jim means well, but I think he gets busy, and can't meet the lead-times he originally states. My daughter wanted the silver OEM wheels on her Chevy Cruze Premier repainted to a gloss black, so we brought them to FWO. The end result is exactly what we wanted, and it was a lot cheaper than trying to find the factory "Redline" wheels. The paint job is high quality, and it looks really nice. The areas for improvement include communication and lead-times. Initially we were given a completion date of 2 business days, and I told them they could take 3 if needed. When I called on the third day, they told me three rims were bent, and they needed to be straightened (for additional cost). I gave the go ahead, but I think they had our wheels confused with another project, because they never added on any other charges. The wheels & car ended up being ready for pick up on the sixth business day. As stated, the paint job is great, but the tires seemed haphazardly filled to random pressure levels, differing by a few PSI from corner to corner (that was an easy fix). They all hold air just fine, though; so no worries there. I would definitely recommend the work that Jim & FWO do, but just allow a little extra time for project completion.

Side note: took car in to Les Schwab after fix to get alignment and all wheels checked, told them about FWO and they said, "oh yeah, if Jim fixed it then it is good, he is the expert, we send all of our wheel repairs to him." nuf said.

Definitely a master at his craft. 10 out of 10 would definitely go back and use again if I needed this sort of service. Not cheap for my pocketbook, but it was cheaper than buying new rims for sure.

This guy is amazing! He owns the franchise and has a mobile trailer. Met us near Kendall Toyota. We left the car with him for 2 hours and...voilà, good as new (seriously. That good)! The free tire rotations, checking your air filling it up claiming warranties is a piece of cake. I don't think I've ever driven a warranty. I've always gotten something back on my tires. This last time I went in, I was disappointed in the staff. The guy who helped me out, didn't seem very interested in helping me get the right tire. He just wanted the sale. He had the most expensive tires I think up on the screen for me and I had to say is that it and then we found some that probably were $200 to 250 less. The thing that really set me off, or was a downer, is he slipped in the certificates which is kind of like a extended warranty for the tires. He never told me about it just gave me a quote for the tires and have them ordered so I can come back to get them installed. I asked them for a printout of so I can see what the tires were when I came back, and that's when I saw he slipped in those certificates which was about $47 per tire. Seemed sleazy to me and a bad business practice. They didn't do a very good job of disclosing this, actually they did nothing to disclose that they were putting that on my bill. When I came in to get the tires put on another person helped me, I'll give her the doubt, but when she swung the screen around for me to pay, she didn't even talk about the certificates is what they call him. So I just think there's probably some good commission there for him and that's why they slip them in and not tell you. I might be wrong, that's just my Impression So if you go here, watch out for someone slipping in that extra warranty referred to as certificate.

A mechanic friend of mine recommended Hillyer's, It took a few weeks to get in, but they quickly and correctly diagnosed the issue (failing wheel bearing and bent steering knuckle). The knuckle had to be ordered so it did take a few more weeks to get the repair done, but when all was said and done they fixed the issue at a reasonable price, no more sticky steering, vibrating, and clunking. They also subtracted the $75 diagnostic fee from my final bill, which was appreciated. I would definitely recommend Hillyer's, and they will be my go to with any future suspension, alignment, or wheel issues.

I had gotten my car completely checked before I went to go the alignment done but he insists that it's because of my suspension. I was also told that he would have to charge me $50-60 more just to check if he did it right?? even so he said that he can't guarantee that my steering wheel is going to be straight. Originally, the wheel was straight -- after your work, I ended up with two problems instead of one. To make it worse, you told me: "Let's put it on the rack again, and if everything shows green, you'll pay us again for nothing." That's not professionalism -- that's bluffing. I don't need "proof" on a screen. I need results. Instead of correcting the problem and setting the values as close as possible to the manufacturer's golden range, you behaved unpleasantly and arrogantly. That went pretty well and they turned out good, but the paint started coming off in a few weeks. I sent him some pics and he said he would fix them. Then I tried to get him to follow through. After setting times to drop them off multiple times and having him cancel, he then told me he had never had a problem like that and wouldn't fix them. What a disappointment James turned out to be. Totally wouldn't stand behind his work. Now I have to find someone else. I should post a zero review, but I can't figure out how to do that. What a waste of time and money. Also note that his shop is way up in the hills out of Gaston, so quite a drive when I first picked them up.

Both techs worked on my set and had them mounted and balanced quickly. I probably wouldn't have minded if the service took a few mins longer if the techs wiped down the tire seating lubricant, but, that didn't bother me enough to remove a star. I grabbed a paper towel from them and wiped them down, myself. Pricing seemed relatively reasonable. Thanks for taking care of my tires. I'll be back next time.
