I've been here a few times over the years and it's a nice neighborhoody place, "dimly lit and cozy" as Yelper Su L. says. It's fun and quirky inside and doesn't feel touristy or overpriced. Recently, my 2 friends and I had an appetizer, a couple glasses of wine, and main courses for 96 euros total. The entrecôte with green pepper sauce was very tasty, really quite fatty as the cut is, but well melted and integrated. It was seasoned wonderfully and grilled just right, definitely not well-done. I also had some slightly dry fries, which were more of the big steak fries-style instead of the shoestrings that the French do so well! Sigh. My friends split an avocado toast with shrimp which I didn't taste, but they enjoyed it. The wine by the glass leaves something to be desired if you're interested in exploring and learning and drinking something special. The house wines are certainly juicy and quaffable, but I'm a bit of a snob and love to drink something that I'm specifically in the mood for and/or try things I don't know or producers I don't know. But the wine of the month is 4.60 euros a glass [drink your heart out, Americans!!] and a glass of champagne [the real stuff] was 8 euros. We had dinner here our first night in Paris as it was a short walk from the apartment where we were staying. Good food and service! Had a comfortable seat by the window. Les Puces de Batignolles is one of the cutest places I've had the chance to discover in quite some time now. It's got that classic French flea market knick knack feel- with fabulous accessories and classic wood tables. The dim lighting sets the scene cozy and a fabulous place for the typical wine & assiettes. I was there for a birthday celebration where we just wanted some wine and meat & cheese platters- it was a great place to do it! The house wine was their own, and the meat & cheese platters were nice and stuffed- full of variety. Alone the decor had me as soon as I walked in. Stopped by for an early brunch and I had an excellent meal. I ordered the brunch set which came with a variety of different things -- so worth the price! I ordered the bollywood variation of their benedict. It came with a side salad, yogurt, fruit juice, coffee/tea and a basket of bread with fruit jams, muffins and croissants on the side. The Bollywood definitely had a flavorful kick to it. It was slightly spicy, but nothing overbearing at all. I loved that their coffee and tea came in a plentiful bowl. Super unique way to give you a generous portion of warm caffeine. Service was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We came here on our first day. It was a nice little walk from our Airbnb. When we showed up we were greeted and shown our seats. We ordered the food was great!!! First things first - there are two 'Puces de Batignolles' on rue Legendre - one on the corner of rue Nollet/Legendre and one smaller one closer to Ave de Clichy (this address I believe - 110 rue Legendre). I am assuming they are owned by the same people as they have the same signage, although different menus. I have eaten in both - the smaller one for an excellent brunch and the larger one for a very nice dinner. The brunch was surprisingly good - especially after my sad and depressing experience at Twinkie (check out my review). I was starting to believe that brunch was not something the Parisians would ever get and that was fine by me (a croissant and a chocolat chaud would suit me fine!). But my friend insisted on dragging me to les puces and I was pleasantly surprised. It's still brunch done Paris style - baguette at the table, and it's served in 'courses' so there is no sweet/savoury flavour mixing. But the scrambled eggs were very good, as were the little roasted potatoes, the yogurt and fruit was a nice light touch and overall I was very pleased. My friend also ordered one of the trio of tartare and was very impressed. One to dinner at the larger Puces - dinner was excellent and the service chilled an easygoing wihtout feeling like you were being ignored. It was empty on a Tuesday night, which probably helped. We had various starters including the mushrooms on toast, the eggs with cheddar, both of which were nice although the eggs could have been less cooked. The satay chicken as a main was pleasant and the goats cheese salad was very good too. I ordered dessert after the waiter brought over the tray to choose from. I rather inadvisedly went for a daim bar creation that was overly sickly sweet and made me feel ill, but I think that was my poor choice rather than the chef's cooking. Overall I liked this place, a nice casual Parisian local that has a wide menu of things they do quite well, with I am sure some standout dishes that I intend to root out over time. read more

Soooo good. Do yourself a favor and get the shrimp risotto and Nutella tiramisu! Best food we had in Paris hands down.

It's my favorite restaurant in Paris so far! I have try the burger deluxe, exquisite! The vegetarian lasagna, so creamy and cheese but not in a fatty way.. the risotto of shrimps with flakes of Parmesan.. Out of this world.. And for the best closure the Nutella tiramisu.. O M G heaven in my mouth! read more

As another reviewer has noted, there are two 'Puces de Batignolles' on rue Legendre, and I have only eaten at the smaller of the two, which is basically located downstairs from the Art Hotel, where my wife and I were staying. While the tables are small (I suppose some might describe that as "cozy") they were large enough for the intended purpose. Nice wine selection, good bread, and our entrees were quite nice. My French is limited, but the English of one of the waiters was reasonably good, so between him and me the order was placed without difficulty. Would enjoy eating there again. read more

This is a colleague's canteen and his canteen did not disappoint. Les Puces is dimly lit and cozy. Definitely one of those places, when crowded, you'll be bumping elbows left and right. They also serve you popcorn in a little tin that is dangerous. You reach the bottom of the tin and soon after, it's refilled for you. Endless amounts of savory and crunchy popcorn. I really need to avoid this place. I ordered the salmon dish and it was fantastic. There was a nice crust on the fish that gave it a lovely crunch and the fish was tasty. I was also completely over fish after having salmon 3 days in a row so kudos to Les Puces for making me not hate salmon forever. For dessert, I devoured an entire jar of nutella tiramisu which was as delightful as it sounds. read more

We are visiting from the US and this restaurant has been the best! The soup is to die for! We also tried the duck and filet mignon du porc and it was exquisite. Lastly, we tried brunch and also amazing; you cannot go wrong here. They were also very accommodating with my grandmother's coffee requests and for that I am also grateful. Will be back! read more

This was our last evening in Paris and we were sticking close to the apartment we stayed in. Our hosts suggested this cafe so we thought we'd check it out. So glad we did! I had the cheeseburger, which came with lettuce, tomato onion and bacon. Served with a salad and fries. My hubby had the ribs, which had sort of a smoky tandoori flavor. Everything was delicious! The burger, which I asked to be cooked medium, was deliciously flavored and moist. So often you order burgers and even if they're not overcooked, they can still be dry. Not so in this case. Chatted with the server who informed us that the owner spent some time in NYC. You can really see a bit of that influence in the menu. I hadn't eaten any "American food" for most of the week, but was curious enough to try something American in Paris that night. Glad I did! For dessert we shared the cheesecake, which was an oreo type. HOLY cow! It was probably the best cheesecake I've ever had.. Not super sweet, perfectly complimented by the chocolatey crust and the berry sauce on the plate. Now we've been home for a week and I really wish I had bugged the server to slip us the recipe for it. Definitely check this gem out if you're in the area. I wish we hadn't waited until our last night to head over. read more
