    Fermière salade
    Ada C.

This is a lovely cafe with seating outside on a relatively quiet street. We stopped here for lunch and ordered the fermière salade. This was pretty basic (goats cheese, Comte, bacon and roasted potatoes) and not put together very well. That said, it hit the spot and the restaurant itself is a very typically Parisian cafe with quaint decor. Very nice!

Had a great dinner at this busy bistro! Started the night with the classic French Onion and Escargot with baguettes and they were amazing, the soup was a huge bowl! The escargot was earthy and the oil was so good to soak up the bread in. For dinner, we had the king prawns with basmati rice which was a savory explosion of flavor! The duck - almost presented as a deconstructed shepherd pie - was also very good, and had an interesting combination of flavors and textures if you want to try something unique. Also had a proper absinthe for the first time and boy does that stuff pack a whollop. Highly recommend this place to travelers staying near Voltaire, the owner of the place was courteous and friendly to us and the staff was eager to help!

Really lovely french restaurant near Bastille. We started off with the happy hour drinks sat outside on the bustling streets and then moved inside to have dinner. The staff were very hospitable and the food was fantastic.

My husband and I had a late lunch here in October after arriving in Paris for a two week long European vacation. This was our first meal in France and it did not disappoint! Overall: Cute absinthe bar in the 11th. We had planned to come back later to try absinthe, but they were always packed at night! So that should probably tell you something. They are also open seven days a week, all day long, which is very convenient. Food: My husband had the beef tartare and I had an enormous green salad that included potatoes, ham and a giant wheel of melting Camembert on top of it. The portion sizes were huge - I couldn't even finish my salad! The tartare came with a side salad and fries. It was very good, but it would have been nice to have some bread or something else to eat it with. The wines were very reasonably priced. Service: It wasn't our best dining experience in Paris, but it wasn't terrible. We had to wait a long time to get menus after we were seated, but after we ordered our food came very quickly (although we didn't get our wine until after our food had arrived). Towards the end of our meal, we had a very nice chat with one of our servers.

Steak frites with bernaise and salad

Some may have thought my parents crazy for bringing me, a two and a half year old to Paris on holiday but little did they know I love this city. Case in point, after a long, rainy day of sight seeing (Arc de Triumph, Notre Dame, Latin Quarter, Shakespeare and Co., Sacre Coeur) and no nap, they took me to this little bistro in the 11th called La Fee Verte and I had an amazing time. My parents had some absinthe and other drinks, I stuck with water. My dad loved his steak, he said it was perfectly cooked medium rare and my mom had the croque madam which was much larger than expected. Both came with salad and frites; there was enough food for all three of us to enjoy. After a bit I accidently tipped the table and spilled some water and broke a glass but the waiter/bartender cleaned it up with a smile on his face. I told him I was sorry and my dad slipped him an extra 5€ so I don't think it was too big of a deal to him. Bottom line, come here to eat or drink and you will be pleased. Au revoir.

I totally recommend their cocktails, they have a large offer of mojitos (classic, raspberry, passion fruit, mango...) and also other classic cocktails like the usual sex on the beach and so on. They also give you complimentary dried fruits (banana, coconut, papaya..) with your drinks. I tried the passion fruit mojito, which was a great election! I liked it ! The service was good, with a welcoming staff. You need to order your drink at the counter though. I thought the space was alright, we sat in the group corner which was cool but it was cold inside. It is a lounge still kind of place but I think it still needs some more decoration. I recommend you to have few drinks here and have dinner in the neighborhood

So the little red door has a cute red door but the bouncer lets you in through another door (novelty observed haha). The man takes your jacket and umbrella (what a gentleman!) and sat us on the second floor. While the space between the couch and the seats were rather small, we were able to manage. I got the permaculture and resilience. The resilience is a club favorite and my favorite too! The way the sorghum, pineapple sage (syrup), pasquet cognac, and savanna rum all tied together was a blessing. I was going to get a third but I was tipsy by my second drink. My first drink was the permaculture and while I was considered it would be strong, it didn't seem strong to me. I love clarified dairy in alcohol so this was a win in my book. It consists of chestnut, butter, wakaze umeshu, avallen Calvados. The bar let's you stay for an hour but if you sit elsewhere, you can stay as long as you want. 5 stars and I hope to come back someday!

Awesome albeit TINY bar! Did someone say cheap beer?!? Count me in :)…read moreThis bar, which called Charlie et sa bière à 2 balles, is known just for that - beer for 2 bucks. Before u get too excited, the 2€ beer is a Demi, or a half-pint. But still, not bad - half pints are 2€ all night. Happy hour, which lasts until 9, offers 3.50€ pints of basic blonde beer, and 5€ pints of maredsous, a stronger tasty Belgian beer. The regular 3.50 pints were actually pretty delicious compared to what you would get elsewhere. The ambiance here is super chill! You feel at home. The staff are super friendly. It's important to mention that this place is EXTRA SMALL! Like legit tiny. 2 people can not be standing in the tiny walkway in front of the bar, or else you can't get by. That being said, the small nature of this place really adds to its charm. It's intimate and cozy. And it being a small bar is really a plus when it comes to placing your order at the bar. A minute or so before happy hour ended, I was able to easily place my order without any line or stress or people pushing and score happy hour pricing :) When looking for the bar, don't blink or you will miss it haha. It's really a tiny and narrow space. There is a little bit of table space in the back of the bar with some stools, and there is a downstairs section with tables and chairs too which is also on the small side. Just try to get here early if you wanna snag a table! As for food (cuz we all get a little hungry when drinking), there's a full selection of tapas and sharing plates and such. You can also order burgers or whatever. the only hitch is that you have to go across the street to place your order (it's LITERALLY right across from the place, you walk like 2 meters to get across the street, max) and the server will bring it to you in the bar. Cool, right? So for a group of 5, we went with a big plate of cheese 10€, an entire sausage (huge) 7€, and 2 plates of nachos (4€ each), for a total of 25€ and we were stuffed! The cheese plate was good, but the nachos were very disappointing. They were cold!!! Like not even warm. And basically it was just a slice or 2 of cheese on top of some nacho chips (not even fully melted - refer to pics) and some creamy tomato sauce at the bottom. Nachos are honestly not really hard to make and are hard to screw up so that was a little sad. I hope they improve their nacho game cuz 4€ nachos would be a hit otherwise in a bar. Come check it out for yourself :)
