    WiFi pw: FINESGUEULES Well-done food, zen ambiance, and attentive staff. A guy who works at the hotel I stayed recommended this place for dinner my first night. After my dinner, I passed the advice on two to other guests. No regrets.

    This place is highly recommended by a local friend if you want something special and authentic French food. They don't have English menu, and not every staff can speak English. So what to order could be challenged sometimes. Fortunately, our French speaking friend was helping us to get some delicious appetizers to share, and main courses, and some awesome desserts. Very difficult to find parking in the area. Reservation is highly recommended. Sitting space is very crowded on the first floor. We weren't able to reserve 2nd floor.     Delicious dinner here earlier this month! Our group of four visited Paris a few weeks ago and this was one of the few restaurants open for dinner in our Airbnb neighbourhood. We called ahead and they were happy to fit us in. The atmosphere was great and the waitress was kind enough to translate the chalkboard menu for us. I started with the mushroom ravioli and miso broth. The dish was very unexpected but I really enjoyed it. For my main I had the veal and it was also tasty. The seasoning was excellent and it was really tender. By the end we had no room for dessert but I'd definitely return again!

    Charming place and nice cuisine! This small bistro is a multi-story affair with the bar downstairs and dining up on the second / third floor that you get to through a small winding stairway. Everything we ate was well prepared. Exceedingly fresh oysters, veal carpaccio and charcuterie made for a tough choice between red and white, so we were forced to start with a bottle of each. My cod fish was cooked perfectly and accompanied by a hash of ratatouille - so good! The cheese plate for pre-desert was notable and delightfully pungent. Desert was chocolate cake filled with cream thing and some espresso - perfect ending. Along with the food, the energy of all the excited-to-be-here diners made the evening fly by. Service was great. Reference notes: / We arrived at exactly 8PM and within 10 minutes the dining area was filled / The menu is constructed on a chalk board / Complete dinner for three with abundant wine will be about 75 Euro per person / I'm thinking that I will be an "always go back to" place.

    This is a restaurant that takes you in and makes you feel like family! The dinner was perfect, with flexibility to create a vegetarian meal not on the menu. Highly recommend the tuna tartare, and the ravioli. The wine selection was an experience with a special tour of the wine cellar. The care that went in to making this more than a special meal but rather an experience definitely earns 5 stars!

However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

My friend's duck breast was pretty tough; I had noticed the table next to us also ordered it and they seemed to have trouble finishing/cutting theirs as well. As for my steak with foie gras, well the steak was once again tough and the foie gras was weirdly stringy. It was soft for the most part but there were parts that were tough and stringy. Maybe that's a section that's generally separated in the preparation process and it was missed? In any case it was disappointing. What wasn't disappointing was dessert though; perfectly sweet and balanced.

You can also get it with salmon. My brothers and I only saw my mother use our gas range to light her cigarettes, sanitize needles to remove our splinters, and make s'mores during the summer months when she couldn't muster the energy to take us 'outside camping.' I mean, all she had to do was borrow a cookbook, which I'm sure were readily available from maybe a neighbor or in any local bookstore or the public library. How hard is that? I was the only kid who brought a can of tuna and his own monogrammed can opener to school every day. Every day. And mom convinced me that the tuna holster she got me for my birthday was cool and hip. I was a naive mercury-filled fool, although I did become a very fast runner in junior high school because of the tuna holster. The interior décor of Bistro des Augustins is informal and vintage bistro style - wooden tables, traditional chalkboard menus, and soft lighting - creating a relaxed and comfy ambiance. I enjoyed the mini mushroom raviolis and delicious Grand Marnier soufflé. The plat was somewhat odd because the chorizo chunks were really strong flavored which overpowered the scallops. I ate one chorizo chunk and pushed the rest aside. The scallops were cooked perfectly but not seasoned. The service was gruff/quite brief with dishes dropped by assistants. My biggest complaint was the stressful ambiance during the meal. It was freezing outside. The door constantly opened and new patrons came in hovering over diners in my room. Luckily I was not closer to the door and didn't have anyone over me. For ~170 Euros, the food was good but the experience was not.
