What we ordered: escargot, crayfish tails, foie gras (order the one that comes with boiled potatoes), mushrooms, onion soup, veal breast, beef pastrami, chicken and the chateaubriand - everything was perfectly cooked with amazing flavor. Wine suggestions were also perfect in pairing with the meal. Service was efficient and they ensured we were well taken care of. Bread was refilled as needed, as were beverages. Takes cards. This was my husband's favorite restaurant in Paris. He was searching for escargot and French onion soup and the hotel concierge recommended Le Bouclard. We came right when it opened at 6:30 and ended up doing the pre-theater show meal, which was a great deal. For 25 euro you could get a starter (or dessert), entree, wine, and coffee. The portions were generous, especially given the price and we loved everything we ordered. For mains we got the pastrami and chicken. To top it all off the service was great--very friendly. While we were eating a couple of other parties came in and they each mentioned how they had come here before and were looking forward to this visit. We will definitely come back the next time we're in Paris. read more

The food was our favorite meal of our trip to Paris. The escargot was succulent , even the teenagers tried and liked it. The puffs of bread with cheese inside before the meal were incredibly addictive. The menu offers enough choices, but not so many that it was overwhelming. The service was friendly, helpful and never made us feel rushed. The owner Jacqueline and Alexandria's humor and pleasant nature add to the experience of dining in this cozy restaurant. They made us feel like friends and were very accommodating. 39 years in business and they are doing it correctly. On our last night in Paris, we wanted a delicious, authentic French meal. I stumbled upon Zee Z's review - and as we were staying in the same hotel, it caught my eye. Jacqueline was so warm and welcoming. From the moment we walked through the door, she was kind and attentive. Walked us through her menu and described the nightly specials. We opted for the 3-course set menu with some house wine. The menu is seasonal, so the ingredients are fresh and local. Everything was so incredible. We started the wild mushrooms for me and fois gras for my husband. I seriously could have just sat and eaten those mushrooms all day long. They were "just" mushrooms, but they were cooked perfectly and so flavorful. I had the veal steak entree, my husband had the beef steak with shallots, both of which were recommended. The veal was amazing - tender and flavorful, and the vinaigrette on the salad was a perfect counterpoint to the salty meat. The beef steak was also yummy. It was tender and perfectly cooked. We paired our starter and main with the house Burgundy. It was incredible. Then dessert. I chose the floating islands, surrounded by a salted caramel custard, my husband chose his favorite - creme brûlée. It was so delicious. The meringue was light and fluffy, the custard was smooth and amazing. I am still thinking about it. We paired this with a house dessert wine, which was sweet and lovely. Finally, we wrapped it all up with some coffee. The service was wonderful. We were well attended; Jacqueline and her assistant were friendly and helpful with suggestions. My wife and I found this place by chance on our last day in Paris. We had been in Europe for about 2.5 weeks and this was hands down our best meal of the trip. Oh mon Dieu... What an unexpected last minute find. We reserved Le Bouclard via La Fourchette, as it was Friday afternoon and we had no reservations made. I was a little cranky because my partner and I didn't make reservations at any of the Michelin starred restaurants, and this is the best we could find. It was everything I wanted and more. A very friendly woman greeted us, and showed us to a cozy corner table. Almost everyone appeared to be tourists here, but the atmosphere was very French. The woman explained their specialities and made some recommendations... and the table next to us concurred, and insisted that we have the Fois Gras. Sold! We started the meal with their house specialty... Fois Gras served with side of roasted potatoes with truffle oil. My partner never had fois gras before and he absolutely loved every bite. For our meals we had the roast chicken and veal. I tried both of them, and honestly have nothing negative to say. Even though this restaurant was quite touristy, the quality of the food is excellent and there's tremendous care that goes into everything they make. I generally don't order desserts after big meals, but watching our new friends next to our table order 3 desserts (for 2)... I couldn't say no. I ordered the floating island, and I have absolutely no regrets that I ate 75% of it, and my partner only got 25%. I am sure I burned most of it off by walking up to Sacre Coeur in heels after dinner. Friendly service, very reasonable prices, and the food is just divine. read more

I felt grateful to come across this gem in the rainy night in Clichy area. The host was the epitome of true hospitality: she made recommendation and took pride in her menu, explained the order of how the dishes should be enjoyed. We ordered prix fix menu (€49 for 3-course meal a person) and got crawfish au gratin--light creamy broth that I truly enjoyed, escargot bourguignon (perfect, not too salty like most), pan fried foie gras (to-DIE-for), and their original recipe braised chicken in tarragon mustard (tender, but I found the sauce to be too salty for my taste, however it works perfectly if eaten with their fries) All were simple dishes that let the flavors shine through. We thoroughly enjoyed the meal which ended with Grand marnier creme brûlée. All paired with half a bottle of côte the Rhone. Absolute privacy and a rather intimate place to be. What an amazing first night in Laris at this small, quiet, and traditional French Restaurant. I was heading to Moulin Rouge and needed to eat prior to the 9:00 show. I researched for a while and styled on this because of the high number of strong reviews, and I wasn't disappointed! I was a party of one. Upon entry Jacqueline greeted me. She was extremely polite and worked with me since I speak no French at all. Her English was very good. I was seated with no reservation, but I dont recommend this. I noticed other people calling ahead. Had the escargot, chicken with mustard sauce, creme broulliet, and two glasses of house wine. All of which were awesome. I'm a Dallas Foodie and was really impressed. I was quickly able to then close out and make the show in time. In hindsight I'd go to dinner again, but start promptly at 7:00 and relax a little more. A hidden little gem around the corner from Mercure Hotel Montmartre. A charming rustic restaurant which seemed loved by locals. We were the only Americans in there at the time and they made us feel very welcomed. Immediately Jacqueline who was open and friendly explain how the menu works and gave us the specials and her recommendations. The foie gras paired with truffled potatoes were divine! Needless to say I also loved the escargot and steak in shallot butter I ordered. My husband also enjoyed his braised chicken and salad. Great little place near Place de Clichy. Small restaurant with a warm, family feel. The night we went, the owner was sitting at a table up front, schmoozing with customers and friends. Staff is terrific. When my wife's dish was prepared in a way she hadn't expected, they insisted on making it again to her taste. The food is wonderful.
