I love, love, Love Les Amis. The clothing here is fantastic, classy, and gorgeous. I will admit it is rather expensive, but if it is for a special occasion, it is totally worth it. The staff is friendly and helpful and never pushy. The sales are fantastic and need to be written down as the big ones do not come along all that often. Found this fabulous shop while waiting for my Mom's massage to end (I miss Seattle already) and wanted every single thing in there. Ended up with a dark rinse pair of Humanity's a Velvet cotton tunic, and one of those yummy Votivo Red Currant candles. Best shopping bag full of love ever. They have gorgeous Orla Kiely stuff, too, and the best of the Hobo bag line - expensive, but not more than the stuff sells for elsewhere - and the staff were really helpful and down-to-earth. This place is so dangerous for me -- I have yet to walk in here and walk out empty-handed. I never would have guessed this kind of boutique would exist in Seattle, but leave it to my good friend to suss out all the great stores. I am far poorer in my bank account, but richer in clothes I absolutely love. My last trip up to Seattle and I came out with a high-waisted Nanette Lepore skirt (that has to be the most flattering skirt I own now) plus this very cute NL short-sleeved sweater that goes perfectly with all the cute dresses I've been buying. The women who work here are beyond helpful in recommending items and are totally patient even when there are piles of tried-on clothes sitting on their comfy couches. And those couches are perfect for exahusted friends/significant others. I recommend this shop to all my friends in Seattle or just visiting. read more

The shopping at Les Amis is always great. Lovely clothes and gifts and a very down to earth and helpful staff. The prices also aren't really outrageous, they just have nicer stuff than most shops around town. Seattle can get a little stuffy and stale fashionwise, its good to know there's a place in town with great clothes and people that can help you find what your looking for - without the cheesy department store schpiel. read more

Les Amis carries gorgeous clothes and has a mix of price ranges and styles. I usually fall in love with the pricier Isabel Marant, Megan Park and Rachel Comey collections but you'll find staple tee shirts, beautiful knits and denim here, too. read more

Les Amis is a gem! They carry Giada Forte, Rachel Comey, Pip Squeak Chapeau, etc. Everything they have is just beautiful. I love visiting but must use self-control because they aren't cheap. When I visit other big/bigger cities I cannot find similarly well-curated stores. read more

I really love this shop. Absolutely gorgeous clothes, unique and really beautiful, and they have fantastic sales as well. ALSO I went in with my two small children, which could have been a really big disaster, but instead the ladies working played with my toddler, and cooed at the baby, and just generally were AMAZING with the kiddos so that I actually was able to shop! If you like fashion forward clothing, but don't want to be a slave to fashion Les Amis is the place for you. The clothes here always manage to feel current, timeless, unique and luxurious at the same time. Sure that Gary Graham or Isabel Marant dress is expensive, but after you have worn it hard for 4 years (because you feel so great in it) you see it truly is such a better value than a big pile of mediocre dresses that don't quite fit right and the fabric scratches. Because here, you truly get what you pay for: exceptionally made, beautiful clothes and the most helpful and inspiring staff to help you find the right piece for you. Fremont is such a fun area to shop in, but Les Amis reminds you that when a neighborhood seems too good to be true, it usually is. How they manage to pick the frumpiest pieces of clothing from such wonderful designer lines is beyond me. If looking through over-priced potato sacks wasn't bad enough, the poisonous attitudes omitted by the sales staff has definitely inspired this Seattle shopper to take her business elsewhere.
