The 12 o'clock meat was well placed and the 6 o clock food tastes as good as the 12 o'clock main meat. Ambience was conducive for eating with a little privacy specially when seated in the booth. It was too loud but it was just pleasant. Atmosphere!! Just visit for yourself. The best part of it was my grandchild was with us!!!! Will be back!!

I wouldn't recommend coming with a large group--no more than four people--given the limited space and portion sizes, especially if you enjoy family-style dining. The short rib entrée was a 3.8/5. While flavorful, it was slightly on the drier side, and the mashed purée portion underneath was very small. The okra king salmon was amazing and paired perfectly with the vegetables. The veal sweetbreads were crispy on the outside and very buttery on the inside. Overall, the flavors of most dishes were delicious and unique. I can see why they earned a Michelin star. The pistachio cheesecake wasn't too sweet, and we enjoyed every bite. Service was outstanding--from the host to our waiter and the entire dining room staff. The food came out quickly, and our waiter was very attentive. I would definitely return for the great vibes, excellent service, and thoughtful cuisine.

If I have a small suggestion (too common in dining) is that there might be a beard warning. I ordered the celery soup. Superb! But it had strings of Brie or Camembert cheese that dripped down attaching themselves to my beard no matter the care. Sometimes dining with a beard is dangerous! Of any of the hundreds of restaurants in New Orleans to go, go here. Everyone in my office thanked me genuinely, but the genuine thanks is to Gautreau's.

The service, however, was absolutely outstanding. The staff was attentive, kind, and took excellent care of us throughout the evening. Service: 10/10. Food reviews from our table: Glenn: Shared the lamb appetizer and felt it lacked flavor and was a very small portion. He also had the flounder, which he felt was a very small serving and only average in taste. He hated the bread. Overall rating: 5+/10, mostly because of the excellent service. Silvana. Had the flounder and felt it did not seem like flounder, was very thin, dry, and flavorless. The zucchini was good but extremely small--essentially one bite. Rating: 3/10. Stephen: Had the $40 redfish plate, which he felt looked more like a lunch portion. He thought the food itself was decent and rated it 6/10, but was disappointed by the size for the price and said he left still hungry. Me: I had the red snapper, which was actually a more reasonable portion than the others and tasted decent. I would rate it 7.0/10. I also sampled the other dishes and personally found the flounder to be very bland. The lamb appetizer, in my opinion, was the biggest disappointment of the evening and I would rate it 1/10. Overall experience for me 5/10. Overall, a rating of 5/10 (average between all 4 of us) mainly because of the services. While the service was excellent, the portions were surprisingly very small for a high-end restaurant and the food did not meet our expectations, especially for a birthday dinner we had been looking forward to with family visiting from out of town. We will not be going back.

It was my birthday and I wanted a pre-dinner libation. "The new Delachaise is close to Saba!"…read more(where I chose to have dinner), I told my husband. And then I realized the "new" Delachaise is like a decade old! This birthday... let's say it hit hard with this realization that you can think something is new when it's actually ten years old. I love this Maple Street location of Delachaise. A longtime fan of the St. Charles location (13 years, in fact), I appreciate that this spot has full table service while the OG is order at the bar. It is also larger, sparkling and sharp. Both feel a little Parisian, just in wholly different ways. And I like the ambiance of both. Behold that cocktail menu! So many unique drinks and similar to the other Delachaise, expect to be impressed with the wines by the glass. I always appreciate a good glass of Sangiovese. I haven't checked out the food menu in a while at St. Charles, but I never seemed to be able to find anything vegan. There's vegan Buffalo cauliflower here, which I'll have to try next time. We ordered olives but they weren't really to my liking (cold, tasting strongly of vinegar rather than herbs and too many of the tiny black ones taking up space. I love Castelvetrano olives and there weren't any in the serving). Service is just so so nice. Really perfect. Can't wait to come back for more wine and an evening on the patio.
