I always get the 14 piece with fries and a drink that I always told to $13 that is a great deal for food. The service is fast and the chicken is delicious..

The wait is finally over! The Wings Up coming soon sign went up several months ago, months after Homegrown Pizza closed shop, and today they finally opened. The menu consists of fried wings, tenders, catfish and shrimp, fried rice, egg rolls and french fries. Got the 4-pc fried chicken and #3 side just to try the food out. The #3 side includes regular fried rice, 12 oz can drink and about a 4 oz container of shredded lettuce and pickles. The chicken was reminiscent of Golden Wings or Manchu. The crust was crispity crunchy and the meat was seasoned. The wings are on the smaller side. The regular shrimp fried rice isn't the replacement for beloved Chinese Tea Garden that I hoped it would be. I'll have to try the deluxe fried rice next time, which adds egg and green onion. Why are the shrimp so orange, though? The "salad" of shredded lettuce and three pickles was fine, and I think the prices are reasonable. Customer service was pleasant and the inside was clean. It just opened today, so it should've been. It took a minute to customize the side dishes because the cashier had to select several options (eg, shrimp or no shrimp, pickles or no pickles, salad dressing, drink). Typical first-day wrinkles, but I'm sure they'll streamline the ordering process. The restaurant has potential. I can see ordering party trays from here.

The food, services, and price were excellent. You actually get a lot of bang for your buck. The cashier/hostess could not have been nicer! I will definitely keep this establishment in my regular weekly rotation!

Parking lot looks like it stays full but we got in and there were a couple of tables with people and a lot of people waiting for to go. This was around 6pm. Steady stream of people coming in for pick up orders so someone likes it. Good sign lol So the food is seafood boils or Chinese. Didnt feel like getting messy so went with the Chinese side. We all did. Now a lot of people like to judge any Chinese food against the backdrop of "is it Chinese kitchen?". And we are no different lol but having lived away from the city for a long time and finding nothing is Chinese kitchen, you adjust your scale. And this place was fine. I had the four seasons, moms had the shrimp and broccoli and pops had the shrimp lo mein. We all enjoyed. We also ordered a combo fried rice to share. Also fine. Now the egg rolls, again, judging against the one of a kind, they were fine. They at least had shrimp in them. So better than nothing. I would not have a problem eating here again. Also that sweet tea will give you diabetes. I had three glasses lol Our server was attentive. Answered questions. Checked on is frequent. Give em a shot

Fiorella's the Original has a no-frills type ambiance. It just screams old-school and I think that vibe just enhanced my overall experience. I came in here just about five o'clock and asked the young lady behind the counter if the veal was hand sounded or just a frozen patty. The girl was not sure, but asked another woman who assured me they were hand pounded and were not just a patty preformed from scraps. The price was more than fair and the ordering process is pretty straightforward. You place your order and they give you a number. Your food is brought to you pretty quickly. I found the veal parmigiana to be pretty tasty, as was the caesar salad that I had with it. All in all, I can see why this place has survived for decades and I will also say that the neighborhood is a far better place for the existence of Fiorella's the Original. I would definitely recommend here and give it five stars.

This experience makes me never want to go back. The Old Fashioned was Kool-Aid sweet. One sip we knew it was undrinkable. The server told us we would not get reimbursed for sending it back. One sip - their policy is no returns on beverages. We asked to have it remade and they did. Still candy sweet. And the Old Fashioned got ordered because the first drink - the blue margarita- also was bad. They charged us for both Eve though they were undrinkable. That wasn't the biggest issue though. Two of us got the Blue Crab pasta and two got the Cobb Salad - one with chicken and one with grilled shrimp. The pasta was ok - heavy sauce and hard to find the crab. The grilled shrimp was "meh." Crab claws and calamari for appetizers. Both had poor quality shredded parmasean cheese on them. Why? We picked the sautéed crab claws that were chilled. The Caesar dressing like sauce was too heavy and not great. The crab claws by themselves probably would have been good. And the cocktail sauce - came from a jar or something. Lacked flavor and tasted like low grade ketchup. Again we've loved Blue Crab for years. No need to go back with so many other choices in New Orleans. The view is spectacular. I hope they return to what they used to be. Y'all let me know if they do.

He told us about the specials and my mouth was drooling when he said soft shell crab. We started with the smoked salmon dip which was so creamy and delicious. For entrees the hubby had the blackened drum topped with blackened shrimp over Brabant potatoes. He was kind enough to give me a bite and oh boy it was so good. I, of course, had the fried soft shell crab special over smoky asparagus. The crab was topped with more crabmeat and a beurre blanc sauce. The crab was cleaned so well and then lightly fried. It was a very fat crab and every bite was a culinary delight. This was by far the best soft shell crab dish I have ever had. I certainly don't say that lightly because I eat soft shell crabs from the start of the season right up to the end. We were so full that there would be no need to eat dinner. Then Vince of course mentioned the desserts and we chose the chocolate peanut butter doberge cake with chocolate ganache. We told him to make it to go and do not open the box when he brought it to the table! Overall, Station 6 treated us to one of the best meals we have ever had.
