Ben's order of Boneless Wings with 2 Flavors. Left: Creole Rub, Right: Honey Heat.
Nina H.

We craved wings but wanted local flair and not wings from a chain restaurant. J's Creole fit the bill and it was nearby while vacationing in NOLA. Created from shipping containers, the space is uniquely colorful and cute. The indoor dining space is really limited but they have a small covered outdoor patio. We lunched on the patio. It was calm and serene despite being near a major expressway. The wings had ample meat with marvelous flavor. I ordered a set of 8 wings with choice of 2 seasonings (Creole and Garlic Parmesan) with fries. My husband ordered boneless wings with creole and honey heat. Creole seasoning was a little sweet and unexpected however it was interesting to try. J's fruit punch was refreshing as it has a hint of pineapple. Glad we were able to try this spot. They have good food with good prices. They don't have a dedicated parking lot but spots are easy to find during weekdays on the street.

Stopped here for some wings. We ordered a 20 piece with half lemon pepper & half honey hot. The 20 piece was about $29. We paid $3 extra for all flats & to our surprise, we did not get all flats. We're visiting so we took a Lyft to & from the restaurant. We didn't open our box until getting back to the room to keep the food as warm as possible. After calling back in to inform them of the mistake they offered for us to bring them back to be remade.. typically that would be fine but again, we're visiting & took two Lyfts. After explaining this, we asked if we could just be refunded the $3 for the flats. Our phone number was recorded & we were told we would get a call back after speaking with the manager but that didn't happen. The wings came out very quickly, we didn't wait more than 5 minutes. The lady helping us out was very helpful with helping us pick out our flavors. Both flavors tasted very similar which is kinda ehhh but we rolled with it since we were hungry & they didn't taste bad. The fries were good & I know if we'd eaten there they would've been even better. There's little seating inside & also a seating area outside. I would give them a 3/5 for taste & but I had to dock bc for one, $3 for flats is a bit much & two, we didn't even get all flats.

Was starving when we arrived to New Orleans and needed something before we checked into our hotel. Rode by this cargo car restaurant and it looked promising...boy were we wrong! The cashier was hard to understand and there was an up charge literally for everything. You want all flats? $3 more, sauce on the side $1! She told my mom she could get a sauce on her okra and charged her for it. The okra tasted nothing like the sauce she got on there they weren't nasty, just tasted like typical fried okra. I got the 6 piece wing special that came with fries and a drink...the fries were not cooked all the way and the "strawberry lemonade" tasted like watered down koolaid it was terrible. The wings actually had a decent flavor, but came with I kid you not one drop of ranch when we got in the car and see that my mom stormed back in there and asked for an actual full container of ranch. Also while we were waiting a song came on that I guess was the cashier song because she turned it up to the max like we were in a club we couldn't even hear ourselves. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place!

Soo good. Fresh, nice size wings. Well seasoned. My lemon pepper may have had a tab but too much for my liking but they were delicious. Fries were fresh and seasoned. Service was quick. Cute lil setup. Highly recommend. Support your local businesses.

Food is always a 10/10 As far as customer service Racquel needs a better phone presence she was very rude didn't seem like she wanted to be at work and has a nasty attitude then wants to ask if we wanted to tip we said NO! I suggest hiring workers who actually want to work. This is our third time having J's and we have yet to receive our ranch They also need to invest in bigger to go boxes for $6 wingsday

$6 Wednesday 6pc wing+fries special - garlic Parmesan
Courtney L.

Came on a Wednesday for their $6 Wednesday special (6 wings & fries) and boy was it busy! The place is small, but there was plenty of hand sanitizer, a plastic barrier at the register, and everyone I saw wore masks. Plus there's an outdoor courtyard that's more spacious where you can wait for your food after you order. So as far as COVID precautions, J's Creole Wings passes! For my Wednesday special, I chose garlic parmesan classic wings with seasoned fries (other option is plain fries) and a side of ranch for the veggie sticks (other option is blue cheese ranch). They brought my order to me outside, which was nice. Got home and was pleased that they threw in ketchup packets for the fries and some thick, sturdy napkins! Now as for the taste... soooo salty! I was guzzling water with every bite. Perhaps I chose a bad flavor, but it was like these wings were showered in salt. The fries were just average. The meat on the wings themselves were good and juicy, but the saltiness just was too much. This was only my first experience with J's so I don't want to write them off just yet though. I plan on coming back and trying a different flavor -- that $6 Wednesday wing special is just too good of a deal!

Absolutely enjoyed my order from J's Creole! A lot of people have mentioned their presentation/delivery is not always consistent. I have not shared that experience thus far, both times have been during the evening. ‍ I had the Island Jerk Wings & Honey Heat, with an order of Parmesan & Garlic fries. The honey heat was extremely salty the 2nd go round, not at all hot.

Love J's Wings! The wings are always perfectly crispy and not terribly hard to bite into. My favorite flavors are Island Jerk and Sweet Heat, and their Blue Cheese actually surprised me this visit.

Customer service was great (it was a guy in a Jesuit shirt, he was real cool). Their punch and strawberry lemonade is ELITE! The wings are good too, not the best I've ever had (I like my wings wet) but they were delicious. I will definitely frequent this place again.

The wings are okay! I enjoyed them. The ranch was a little bit and then you get charged for another one but overall it was nice. Service was good and the little area built with storage containers is nice.

I discovered J's several years ago before they opened. They had just put the containers in place and my belly was ready for a happy. But, I moved back to Tennessee (and girl, for why??) and it fell off my foodie radar. But this week I spent a few days working from New Orleans and a friend suggested it for my last meal before heading out. MANE IT WAS SO GOOD. Here are a few things to know before you go: 1. Containers are neat, but they're small (and kind of hot with that heat coming out of the kitchen). There's an outdoor patio with shade, but without a breeze it'll feel like a hotbox. There were a lot of flies (they wanted some of those wings, too), so between the heat and insects, an industrial fan would've been perfect. We saw several people getting their food to go and wondered why we didn't think of that. 2. I had the 6 piece combo which came with two wing flavors, fries, ranch and a drink. BUT...I paid $3 extra to upgrade to a beer and it was worth it. I got a pint of Hopitoulas, which can be anywhere from $5-7 elsewhere. I did the creole rub and island jerk wings and not only were they amazing: THEY GAVE ME ALL FLATS After tip -- yes, please tip the people taking your order!! -- I paid $20 for my food. Pricey, but satisfying. 3. MORE THAN WINGS! J's is actually three places in one: a wing spot, a beer garden and a dessert shop. Like, who came up with this perfect idea! There's something for everyone. To sum this thang up, go visit. But bring a personal fan if you decide to sit outside.

Black owned Friday!! My son and I love chicken! I mean, we can eat chicken several days out the week and still not be tired of it. So for lunch sometimes we grab a bite at @jscreolewings and it hits the spot! I love a great family owned business and this family is jack of all trades. I even have personal history with them (tbt lol). Years ago, I was on a cheerleading team they owned. We definitely go way back. The building design they have created for this spot is pretty unique. The restaurant is three connected, repurposed storage containers, and each one is a different spot. I haven't seen anything else like it! I typically order six piece wings and fries with their famous Js fruit punch. My favorite flavored wings would definitely have to be Honey Heat. The flavor is a very settled sweetness and a hint of heat. My favorite part is when the sauce runs on the fries. It's just perfect! The wings also come with their very creamy house made ranch, accompanied by celery and carrots. I've had a few other flavors, and my least favorite would be Island Jerk. I can definitely say I do not get even a hint of jerk out of this sauce. Instead of it being smoky, it's more tangy and they add a little seasoning on top and it just doesn't do it for me. Overall, I think it has a unique concept, bright colors, food court vibes, and very warm and welcoming atmosphere! Food Service Location

The restaurant was packed, and the staff was moving nonstop--but what really stood out was how smoothly everything was handled despite how busy it was. The food? Easily a 10/10. The chicken had that perfect balance--crispy and slightly spicy on the outside, yet unbelievably juicy and tender on the inside. You can tell real care goes into it. The greens were cooked just right with a subtle hint of spice that gave them great flavor, and the slaw had a light sweetness that complemented everything perfectly. Service was just as impressive. My server, Tashena, was attentive, friendly, and kept everything flowing without missing a beat, even in the rush. You could tell she genuinely cared about the experience. I also have to shout out the manager, Whitney. She was incredibly uplifting, constantly cheering on her team and keeping the energy positive and motivated. That kind of leadership really shows in the overall experience. Between the food, the service, and the atmosphere, I can confidently say this is a 1000/10 recommend. I'll definitely be back

Once inside, you're greeted by welcoming staff who are proud of what they serve. The interior is modest, with nice rustic carpentry. Bourrée is to Boucherie as Cochon Butcher is to Cochon. It's a wing and daiquiri spot, but the wings are natural (read: smaller than the hormonal wings we're used to) and the daiquiris are dry, just the way I like them. Mr. Tea is my favorite of their daiquiris because sugar isn't the first thing I taste, instead I'm actually getting that antioxidental brewed tea flavor. Never thought I'd want that from a daiquiri, but as it turns out, I do. Their fries are some of my favorite in the city: shoestringy with crispy ends, the skin still on, salty, and plentiful. We also love their version of fried Brussels sprouts which taste of maple-citrus with bites of Tasso mixed in for good measure. My only gripe was with the jerk wings which didn't taste of jerk, just spicy. And if I'm being honest, the wings aren't the best of what they offer. They make everything in house with quality standards as high as Boucherie.
