Blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon
Genevieve B.

My husband and I dined at Leo's this past weekend when we were in town visiting family. We seemed to have walked in at just the right time, and we were able to seat ourselves at a table. Immediately after we sat, at least 20 people pulled into the parking lot and came inside. We could tell that this was "the place to be" and we were excited to try it out. We were greeted by a server and someone else (who I assume is the owner or an incredibly dedicated hostess/server/woman who does it all!) We felt acknowledged and appreciated. We ordered fairly quickly and waited about 30 minutes for the food. At one point, a waitress came out to apologize for the daily (we appreciated this part and we were in no rush! It was MDW and like I said, a swarm of people came in at the same time!) I ordered one of the combos- scrambled eggs, bacon, and 2 pancakes that I added blueberries too. Everything was delicious, and I'm not normally one to finish all of my eggs. My husband got a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich and cleared his plate. If you're in the area and looking for a quick, easy breakfast, we recommend Leo's!

Stopped in here on our way to the cape . We had streak and eggs which were healthy portions and the best steak tips I've ever had . Tasty, perfectly cooked, a generous portion and so tender ! My over easy eggs were cooked to perfection. My fishing buddy got pancakes and sausage which she raved over. The coffee was good , hearty and kept coming. The breakfast was so good that we planned our trip home with a visit there. The best part was the staff. It was mostly middle age women working there and both times they were so friendly and working their butts off. The place had a beach vibe and was just a comfortable, welcoming place .

Perfect, simple breakfast place. The staff are very friendly and attentive and work well as a team making sure coffee is full and dishes are bussed away. It has a good crowd of regulars plus tourists with its downtown location. Great place if you want typical, American breakfasts specials like eggs, toast, home fries, sausage, French toast and omelets for a very affordable price for the area. French toast was under $8. Eggs Benny and 3 eggs, toast, home fries and sausage and other combos were in the $10-14. Everything was quick and hot. With 5 minutes of the "train bridge" and Mass Maritime.

Looking for good, no fuss food for breakfast in Buzzards Bay? This is the place. An excellent breakfast, served fast and hot with great coffee. What more could you ask for? A pork chop with your eggs? Have that here.

Food and serviice great. Went and sat at small bar they have due to tables being full. We don't eat pork and have hard time finding homes fries that won't have pork fat or meat in our area. It's hard enough having breakfast without meat I can't not have home fries too. Well the amazing cooks here said they were able to make without the pork fat and went above and beyond. We had a pancakes with blueberries too bad they don't have real maple syrup. She said no one will pay extra, we would. I had omlet with onions, peppers and cheese with a grilled English miffin grilled to perfection. Took a bite before taking a pic but trust me you will love them. We had pineapple mimosa and tea. It was the best. Will definitely be back.

One of the best breakfast spots I have visited. Great service, large portions and the food is hot when delivered.

Delicious traditional diner fare. Prompt friendly service despite the mob scene on July 4 at 9am. Can't wait to go back.

The coziness of this place is unreal! The restaurant is set inside of a house, which gives it a…read moresuper cool, home-y vibe. Not only is the setting home-y, but the staff is all very kind and quick to greet guests. The good old home feel doesn't stop with the setting or service, but it carries through to the food as well. The food comes out looking like a true, delicious, home-cooked meal with the flavor to back it up! For an appetizer I ordered the Charlie's Chowder, which is the best chowder I've ever had, in New England or otherwise. It comes packed with scallops, lobster, and cod, and is absolutely to die for. For my main course, I ordered the Lemon Caper Cod, which was also wonderful. The piece of cod is huge, and is served with a bed of rice, seasonal veggies (mine were carrots) and, of course, capers. The fish was tender and cooked to perfection and, while I'm not typically a huge carrot fan, the steamed carrots they made were sweet and tasty! If I knew how they make them I'd become a much bigger fan of carrots. From start to finish, everything about this place is top notch! A definite must try!

I wasn't starving, so I ordered what SEEMED to be lighter; Sea and Sand, which consists of a stuffed quahog and a cup of Charlie's Chowder. Just a quahog and a cup of chowder! You will NEVER have chowder with more seafood in it! At least 4 scallops, a large lump of crab, some pieces of lobster, and a lotta fish. A bowl would be a meal.

Food was fantastic. Service was great. Speak easy however in the basement was a disappointment…read more Karaoke was going on when we arrived after dinner. A bunch of drunk bar rats and karaoke DJ with his friend as the main singers for most of the time we were there. Not because there wasn't people to sing, there was a waiting list. Go for the food, entertainment needs a major upgrade.

While I can…read moreunderstand it is an old building and definitely outdated parts of the rooms but the cleanliness should have been much better. Especially since they called us saying we could check in early if we chose to because the room was ready early. They had plenty of time to do a better job. The coverings over the box string and mattress were very stained, almost everything had a coating of dust, a couple of the towels had markings and the shower liner also had stains. The dust was so bad in the room that we had to get allergy medicine because we woke up feeling awful from the dust. We removed a fake plant coated in dust from the room moving it to the hall and got cleaning supplies from the front desk to clean the AC, fan, etc. The AC was horribly coated like it hasn't been dusted or had the filter cleaned in years. Also, the AC barely worked to cool down the room. The dust was piled on the lights, door frame trim, baseboards, and so on. The bathroom could highly benefit from even minor upgrades. The threshold holding down the linoleum was popping up from the floor, the shower head was practically an outdoor water spigot that you'd see at the beach to wash sand off, and there was no vent to deal with moisture from the shower. For other updates the ceiling has visible water damage marks and cracks along the walls. The continental breakfast is just highly processed pastries and sugary cereals. Some fruit would've been a cheap and desirable option. Quite a bit of noise from the music in the restaurant and could hear banging / foot steps from down stairs anytime of the day. Only giving this place 2 stars because the front desk workers were nice. But a stretch to call it a hotel. Extremely disappointed that we paid to stay in such discomfort but being summer in the cape options were limited to switch after seeing the room. It is hard to find funding could be a source of issue for cleaning properly or basic up keep when they have two restaurants and rooms they are charging a decent amount of money for.
