We went on Mother's Day, so it was packed. We ordered our food to go and waited about an hour for it. Seating inside is very limited, and the outdoor tables are set up in a loading dock area. Definitely a little odd since the restaurant is located inside an office building. That said, the food was very good. The drinks, unfortunately, were warm, and the hostess wasn't the friendliest. On a positive note, the flower vendor outside was incredibly kind. Honestly, the best part ended up being taking our food to a nearby park and enjoying it there.

Leora is a great spot. I've visited a few times now and it's always consistent. Service is always excellent and the staff truly care. A hidden gem for LA restaurants. Menu has a great selection. The frozen coffee is fantastic it reminds me of Tim Horton's. For food, I tried the breakfast burrito. The eggs are a soft scramble perfectly cooked with a high quality avocado. I recommend getting a side of spicy chipotle mayo. My friend also loved the avocado toast. I'm excited to try more of the menu next time!

First time here and it was a little tricky to find, but apparently there are a few different ways to get in. Once you're there, though, it's such a cute spot. They have an intimate outdoor patio along with some indoor seating options, which I loved. Service was super friendly, and I got lucky, no line when I arrived. I ordered an iced matcha latte with oat milk. It was good, just not the best matcha I've had in LA. The packaging, though? So cute. The chicken Caesar wrap definitely lived up to the hype, so delicious. The texture was perfect and the portion was solid. I literally had to pause halfway because I was so full. Next time I'm trying one of their frozen coffees. I saw a guy sipping on one while waiting for his food, and finished it, assuming it's tasty... it has to be, right? Definitely would love to try other food options as well, everything looked very fresh.

Holy Schnitz, Tuna Melt, French Fries, Frozen Coffee, and Nutella Banana Smoothie. SOOO good

My husband and I came for a late lunch around 3pm today (Saturday), and we had such a great time! The place is PACKED and we fully expected to wait for a long time for a table, but we put our name in and were seated roughly 10 minutes later. My husband and I ordered the tuna melt, the holy schnitz, and a side of fries. We also got a frozen coffee and a Nutella/banana smoothie. WOW. The tuna melt is truly the best I've ever had - the ratio between tuna, cheese, and bread is *chef's kiss*. We saw that it had gone viral, and there is a great reason for it. And if you're looking to up the sandwich even more, ordering a side of chipotle aioli to put on the tuna made for one of the most delicious sandwiches I've truly ever had. The holy schnitz was also amazing, and I also put some of the chipotle aioli on it. I'm pretty sure I could eat that by itself though - it is SO good. The tahini flavor is definitely strong, so that is something to consider flavor-wise, but I thought it was so tasty. It is also HUGE, and I brought home half to eat later. The fries are perfect. Perfectly crispy, perfectly thin, perfectly seasoned. A side order is great for 2 people. The drinks were also SO good. Love the aesthetic in the cute soda can-style bottles (someone else said '2016 aesthetic' and I totally agree). Loved loved loved this place. Also, our waitress was SO kind. We asked about the side sauces and didn't know which we wanted, and she offered to bring out one of each immediately. She also checked on us a handful of times (but not in an overbearing way at all), and made sure we knew we could sit for as long as we wanted, even though the place seemed to be closing shortly. I would definitely come back here!!! Can't wait to try so many things on the menu.

2016 aesthetic is back?! I came to LEORA because of social media posts about the cute cans that fit the 2016 era. I finally found the time to come here with a friend on a late Saturday afternoon to grab a bite. Finding this place can be really tricky since they're located behind a few office buildings and maps doesn't exactly know where it is and will make you make a lot of turns. If you go down W 3rd St, there's a long strip of parking spots that require a paid parking meter. You can see the white signs that direct you to their storefront! It was pretty busy on a Saturday late afternoon at 3pm! Our plan was to walk-in and get a table but it was an hour wait so we opted for their take-out instead! I did notice that they had quite a few tables available but it had a reserved plaque on it so definitely get a reservation (on their website) prior to coming here if you don't want to wait. The take-out process was quite easy! If you don't want to wait, they also have their own app so you can place your order ahead of time. You walk into the store and a cashier will take your order! We wanted their banana bread that's displayed in a transparent display but there was a pretty big fly trapped inside so we decided not to at the last minute. We did order their frozen coffee, garlic fries, and chicken caesar wrap. The total ended up being $50. Food: Frozen Coffee (7/10): I loved the can aesthetic that they use! They store most of their take-out drinks in this plastic cup with a soda can lid stapled on top of it. The coffee was just okay. It was creamy, not too sweet, and was just a regular frozen coffee taste. Not sure if it was just us, but we couldn't keep the cup because the lid was impossible to remove. Chicken Caesar Wrap (7/10): This wrap was massive! It was tightly wrapped and packed with tons of grilled chicken, lettuce, but very few croutons. They sear one side of the tortilla which adds a nice char to the taste! They also give a side of dressing but it was too watery and lemony for my preference. I prefer my dressings to be thicker and creamier. Garlic Fries (7/10): These were shoestring dressed with garlic (oil?) and parsley! The fries were amazing. They came out fresh and crispy with a side of Heinz ketchup. I was searching for the garlic bits and flavor within the fries but had a hard time finding both. I wished there were garlic bits that came with the fries so it adds a little depth to the flavor. These were snacky but definitely finish these because we had some leftover and it didn't taste as good after the hot-out of the fryer time period.

Solid brunch spot walking distance to a farmers market. We got the bagel and the burrito, with complementary French toast from the waiter who went above and beyond with everything we needed. He also recommended the best way to order the burrito and it came out delicious. The coffee was alright, a little too sweet and diluted but the bottle being a can was pretty neat. The bagel was unique with the shape but the bread was a bit dense and dry. Food: 7/10 Service: 10/10 Ambience: 7.5/10

Returned recently and the pistachio lavender latte is still perfect. Also love their breakfast burrito, omelette, fruit plate and frozen coffee. I like the blueberry scone as well, but the chocolate chip cookie is better. Carrot cake is ok, olive oil cake is amazing!

I was so curious if the food at Leora would live up to the hype. I brought some friends here for Sunday brunch around noon. The wait was about an hour and the line did not die down. Luckily the Beverly Hills Farmers Market kept us busy. I ordered the Jerusalem bagel, my friends ordered the Huevos Rancheros & the smoked salmon and tater tots. We all got a round of Iced matcha - mine was frozen. Presentation was amazing (I mean look at my bagel picture) and as someone who gets full easily - I finished the whole thing, not a crumb left. My least favorite part of the meal was probably the frozen matcha. It was on the sweeter side and had more ice than liquid if that makes sense. Regardless this is such a cute spot to catch up with friends. Just be ready for a wait!

This was so incredibly filling, but very flavorful cafe food on a very pretty porch outside. Their iced latte was good, but would go back and try their famous frozen matcha or coffee.

Small cafe on the first floor of a business building. Been out here a couple of times after errands and they are always sooooo busy. Let me tell you the food is fantastic so not surprised. Tuna melt was phenomenal. Made if albacore tuna salad on a perfectly crisp toast. Every bite had THE best crunch with a mouthful of just the right amount of thick savory tuna salad. Sooo incredible. Must try. Also tried the chicken shawarma bowl. This was also fantastic. Made with kosher grilled chicken skewer in a bed of basmati rice, lettuce, pickled radish, freshly chopped Israeli salad, thick creamy eggplant, and tahini sauce on the side. Sooooo incredibly delicious. Of course we had to have our daily matchas. This was also refreshing. Would love to try their Jerusalem bagels the next time. Highly recommend. Just give yourself extra time as this place seems to be busy at all hours.

Let me start by saying... the frozen coffee. Ever since the day I had it, I think about it daily. Perfectly balanced, not overly sweet...just so good. The food was great too, but I definitely need to go back for the tuna melt everyone keeps raving about. Parking and finding the place was a little confusing at first, but trust the process, it's exactly what it looks like. If you think you're going the wrong way, you're not. You literally enter through an alley/car entrance.

An awesome little hidden café attached to a small office park in Beverly Hills. You cannot see the café from the street but as you walk up, you will hear the noise of the music and the chatter of people and it does feel like a little oasis in the middle of the city. There are many parking spaces around for the office building, but we decided to just park on the street, which is a short walk to the front door. Inside is pretty large, they have indoor and outdoor seating and is surprisingly larger than I was expecting. The menu is actually very large and it has a lot of great options on it. Service was a bit slow for us and when we arrived, we stood there for a while at the "please wait to be seated" sign but no one was on duty so that was a bit of a bad introduction, but it got better from there. I had heard many great things about the Tuna Melt so I decided to try that for my brunch and added avocado. I thought it was fantastic and I especially appreciated how crispy the bread was. I also ordered a Salted Caramel Latte and that too was very nice although I wish it would've been a bit larger in size. Overall, this is a great little café that is especially great for breakfast or lunch. I would recommend and I plan to be back again in the near future.

This very trendy spot was understaffed, disorganized and had confused staff. That is not to say that the food wasn't delicious because it was. The line was long. Lots of young families. Prices were reasonable. Interesting combinations. I loved the hummus and crudite starter with rainbow radishes and carrots. My chicken salad was the least appetizing. The veg were chopped too thin and the chicken was not hot. The breading fell off of every piece but the ginger dressing was tasty. I did not see any sesame. I went to the ladies room which was strewn with paper all over the floor and the stalls were out of toilet paper. When I mentioned it to a staff member she said that the restrooms were in the UTA building and they had no control. Get it together, folks.

I enjoyed one more happy hour and one more early dinner before they closed for good…read more During the HH, I had the truffle french fries and the pepperoni pizza. Fries were good this time, but I would go without the pizza in the future. On their final opening night I arrived too early; forgetting that dinner didn't start for an hour so I had the fries (again) while waiting for dinner. Thankfully, the order was put in a little earlier and I was able to enjoy the Penne alla Vodka. I was on the fence about the 20-Layer Cake but I ended up caving in, getting it to go for later. Unlike the first time I got this, they now had a perfect, custom box for the slice to fit whereas before they had to cut the cake in half to fit it into the box they had at the time. I know the New York location has delivery/to-go only, but there is still the Las Vegas one. Sad to see this place close down, as the location seems to be a curse for so many places (Hamburger Hamlet, Rivabella, Roku, now Lavo...).

During my foodie relatives' Thanksgiving week visit to Honolulu, we were discussing making…read morerestaurant reservations for our upcoming Christmas/New Year visit to Los Angeles. However, after we raved about our multiple dining experiences at LAVO Las Vegas, we were surprised to learn that none of our relatives had ever dined at the restaurant's Los Angeles location. So, when the opportunity arose, I made an after-Christmas dinner reservation through OpenTable and excitedly waited. We knew exactly where LAVO Los Angeles was located, as we had frequently driven past the Sunset Medical Tower on Sunset Boulevard and had eaten at the same restaurant space before it changed hands several times over the past decade or so. They offer valet service, which only accepts credit card payments, and because of the restaurant's location, you might as well use the service, because you'd be hard-pressed to find street parking. Our group of six arrived at the restaurant about 30 minutes before our reservation and were greeted by a friendly hostess who asked whether we were ready to be seated or preferred to wait in the bar. We chose to be seated, and she escorted us into the quiet, warm, yet festively decorated dining room. The busser approached us, took our water service request, and informed us about who our server would be. Our server, Addison, came to our table while the busser refilled our water glasses and offered assorted citrus slices to flavor them. After my brother-in-law showed Addison the magnum of wine he brought and asked if the sommelier could uncork the bottle, since it was not only a 2006 vintage but also had a long, possibly fragile cork, even though they kept the bottle in their personal wine storage. Unfortunately, they didn't have a sommelier on duty, and Addison informed us of the restaurant's impending end-of-year closure and confidently said she could uncork it with her trusty corkscrew. However, my brother-in-law decided to give it the "ol' college try" and successfully uncorked the bottle. FOOD: -Fritto Misto: a platter of lightly battered and fried zucchini, shrimp, calamari, and vinegary peppers with marinara was delivered to our table and was quickly shared and devoured. Everyone felt the fritto misto was light, delicious, and perfectly cooked. $28 -The Meatball: We've often seen this appetizer ordered at the Las Vegas site, but we never ordered it because we felt it was too much food to share between us. However, now that we had our family surrounding us, we ordered it. The 16-oz meatball is made with fresh-ground imperial Wagyu, Italian sausage, and veal. It is served with whipped ricotta and marinara. We shared the tender, toothsome meatball among us and sopped up the sauce with garlic bread. $34 -Semolina Sesame Garlic Bread: Addison highly recommended this garlic bread to pair with The Meatball and sipping on our Cabernet blend wine. The lightly grilled-toasted loaf was served with three dipping sauces (marinara, basil pesto, & Gorgonzola dolce). $18 -Zitoni Genovese: braised short rib, sweet onions, pecorino Romano. I received a generous portion of Neapolitan or Sicilian zitoni pasta (larger ziti tubes) and an intensely flavorful, tomato-wine-based, fall-apart tender, slow-braised short ribs ragù. This comfort-food pasta dish was so rich and filling that I could barely eat half the portion and ended up bringing home leftovers. $33 -Faroe Island Salmon Oreganato: My husband cut into the salmon filet, which had a light crisp coating of breadcrumbs and revealed the fillet's tender medium-rare doneness. The rich, buttery-tasting salmon filet sat atop a melange of sautéed vegetables and was dressed with a lemon, white wine, and garlic butter sauce. My husband jokingly said he could feel his heart health improving with each bite. $39 The rest of my family ordered their own entrees, and when we were nearly finished with our meals, we decided to share a dessert. We ordered the luscious 20 Layer Chocolate Cake ($29), and each of us commented on the "decadence" of chocolate, peanut butter, and mascarpone. During our dining experience, Addison informed us that LAVO Los Angeles would sadly be closing at the end of the year. We were happy to have supported this restaurant, and it was great to see so many others show their support during the Holidays.

Enjoy Starters/Shareables, Salads & Bowls, Smoothies, Stone Oven Pizzas (available with Vegan Mozzarella or Cashew Ricotta options for dairy free folks, GF dough option dough also available), Entrees, Cold Pressed Juice, Coffee, Lattes, Sodas, Teas and Baked Goods. Family friendly, kids menu available. Dog friendly. Gender neutral restroom and the coolest handwashing vanity area with more plants :) Parking choices range from valet to local garage or street. We were in a garage at an event close by so opted to stay there and walk exactly one block over. Everything is fairly reasonable, including great deals on their weekday happy hour 3pm to 6pm, featuring $12 Draft Cocktails, $10 glasses of wine, $7 draft beer and a small variety of Bar Snacks. I have been to their Venice location on Abbot Kinney Blvd and the vibes are similar, but more beachy and crowded. Both take reservations and I definitely recommend on weekends and end of the weeknights. Definitely team The Butcher's Daughter - West Hollywood. Be back soon :)

I got the skirt steak cooked medium rare -- flavor was good, but it was a little tough to cut. I think it would've paired even better with some garlic butter or chimichurri on the side. The mac and cheese was SO good and easily one of the highlights of the meal. Creamy, flavorful, and definitely something I'd order again. The pork chops were delicious and packed with flavor, but the spinach underneath was a bit too bitter for my taste. The mashed potatoes were creamy, soft, and comforting. We also loved the Brussels sprouts and Caesar salad -- both were super solid sides. Drinks were perfect and balanced out the dishes really well. Service and atmosphere were great too. Would definitely come back to try more items on the menu next time we are in the area.

It was bland and portion was just smaller than I expected. There is a location in Pasadena and the pasta was seasoned well and balanced and what I feel the portion was much bigger. I do have to assume it's due to the location of this establishment. The ambiance was pretty slow however the inside decorations were so cute and pleasant on the eyes. I wouldn't come here for the food, perhaps a drink and a small app.

We ordered the Wagyu burger, egg white turkey omelette with potatoes, & a side of bagels. The food was decent but very bland--nothing stood out, & we had to add salt for flavor to everything. Portions were small, with barely any avocado or pico, and not very filling. The bagels were good, but they gave very little cream cheese and even charged extra for more, which bad barely enough for one side of a beagle. Service was a bit disappointing. Our server was nice but It wasn't busy, yet our server rarely checked on us--we had to refill our own water & go get the pitcher. They also don't clearly mention when choosing sides it cost extra, which can add up quickly but a heads up would have been appreciated. Overall, we paid about $65 for two & left underwhelmed. It's fine for a casual hangout, but not somewhere I'd go to be impressed. I will say on a positive note, the baked goods, specifically the soft chocolate chip cookies, tasted very fresh! Other than that though we were quite a bit disappointed.

They have breakfast sandwiches, granola bowls, pancakes, omelettes, burgers, hot dogs, salads, bakery pastries and cake slices. There's a fridge full of various fresh cheeses and another fridge with ready to bake breads and pastries that you can take home to bake yourself. Lots of variety snacks throughout the store; often ones that you do not find at regular grocery stores. For example, they have dang Thai Rice chips, which are bomb good. I used to only be able to find these on Thrive market, so it's good to see a local place sell them. Staff were all friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have. Interesting note is that they have various checkout counters throughout the store; it doesn't matter which counter you pay at. From the deli, I have tried... 1. Kale Salad with Spicy Peanuts & Queso Fresco It's technically supposed to be a healthy dish, but the sauce was too sweet for my liking. I think the sweetness is from the honey & the dried cranberries in it. Otherwise, the kale was fresh and spicy peanuts added a little bit of kick 2. Tarragon Chicken Salad The chicken was on the drier side, but the sour cream sauce was light and creamy - could use more herbs for flavoring though. I'll come back again for when I need a quick grub! Worth checking out if you are in the area
