I went here recently with a friend for lunch. It's a cute semi-secluded cafe attached to the UTA building in the heart of Beverly Hills. For lunch I ordered the falafel wrap and a frozen lemonade to drink. I loved the plastic "can" the lemonade came in, it's so cute. The drink was very refreshing with a subtle hint of yuzu as promised. The falafel wrap was pretty good and unlike any I have had anywhere else - the umami and flavor burst through in the sauce, making the matbucha (tomato and roasted bell pepper sauce) and amba (pickled mango) shine through. Service was great, like that they have the handheld credit card readers to pay. It's a little pricey, but reasonable for Beverly Hills, and a nice brunch/lunch option. Recommend parking in the city hall lot and taking a short walk over. read more

This place is its own scene. If you watched the old show "Entourage," you will have some insight, because this place is swarming with talent agents and others behind the scenes in the entertainment industry (given that the restaurant is housed in the United Talent Agency building, it isn't surprising). But if you can get past that, the food is really, really good. Even the eggs taste better here. The salads are excellent, too and the drinks are amazing. Nothing is cheap here, but you will feel like it's worth it. Servers, hosts and counter people are also very nice and helpful, which is a plus. Mmmmm. Have discovered this place recently through the Summer Fridays promo during the summer and got hooked on their frozen pistachio matcha with raspberry mixed in. A bit pricey though at $15 but came perfectly blended and in a container that is sealed with a can top. I also tried their carrot cake. $5 a slice and a pretty good one, not dry but not overly moist. Service is pretty fast in the mornings and you can dine in or take out. It's tucked in the back so you have to walk from the street but you can see a sign for it from the street so that's how you know you're going the right way. Let me start off by saying that my visit today was extremely disappointed. I waited 35 minutes for my food. My drink order was incorrect and I watched over 25 uber/ pick up orders get done and only when I threatened to leave was my ordered fulfilled. I came because I was interested in the summer Fridays collaboration, but was disappointed in the service. The blond guy filling orders was nice, but it's ridiculous to wait over 30 minutes for a single dish, especially when I ordered in person rather than online. I ordered the summer fridays latte, and they gave me the lemonade. I had to give him my receipt for the drink to be made correctly because they didn't believe me when I said it wasn't right. Then I waited another 25 minutes, checking in every 10, for my food order. I ordered the shakshuka, I was actually pretty good, but definitely not worth waiting as long as I did for it. Stopped by this location because of the summer Fridays collab. I ordered the guava lemonade (which I hope they plan to keep on the menu longer than this month.) because it was delicious! It was fresh, right amount of tart and sweet and I loved it so much I went back twice! The staff were helpful nice and welcoming and with the amount of chaos occurring in such a small tight space, they handled it with ease and grace and I had a pleasant experience. If you've never been this place is hard to find even with signage posted. The have plenty of metered parking and the space is quaint with seating indoor and outdoor but with a collab as big as summer Fridays, it can really be overwhelming trying to fit over 200 people along with accommodation for normal staff wanting to eat in. A colleague brought in a couple drinks in these cool 'cans' over the weekend. I didn't take one since I don't drink matcha, and the other was a strong coffee (it was later in the day) so I knew I had to discover this place on my own. Arriving on a Monday around 11a, I parked in the garage on Rexford/Civic Center Dr. and as per Leora's website, walked across the street down a small driveway (look for the LEORA sign) and came to a host stand. Past that, there was a doorway with a lot of customers standing around. I asked one guy if he ordered and he directed me to the counter since I wasn't sure where I needed to be. The wait to get help was about 3 minutes, which doesn't seem long but when you're standing there and there are several employees rushing around and people start lining up behind you, it feels like forever. One girl with short hair and glasses kind of acknowledged us but didn't say anything to help the situation with a, 'we will be with you shortly.' I will say it did seem rather busy as they were carrying bags to the other counter for pick up orders. As I looked around, only a few tables were taken but there were reserved signs on every empty table surrounding them. Finally, this same girl came back and said she could help, so I placed my order for an iced vanilla latte with oat milk. Total was $8.24 and while I was paying, she handed over a small white bag which normally would contain pastries. This was the last day for the Summer Friday event, and I would have thought they would have been out of this since earlier in the month, but in it were three samples. Considering I didn't order one of the collaboration drinks, I was pleasantly surprised; figuring maybe they had way too product or she felt bad for our long wait. The people behind me who had to wait received one as well. They call out your name and you can pick up sugar, straws, etc. right in that area. I picked up a powder blue straw and took it outside to get out of the way. This was a pretty strong coffee; I started drinking cofffee over the summer again, but this was the kind that was probably going to get me wired before I crash later on. It wasn't bad though, and I did finish it within 10 minutes. I admit I liked the design of the coffee 'cup', which popped open like a soda can. My experience here was overall a good one; service once received was pleasant, so I'm happy there was no issue there. I even saw a special I would be interested in trying had I been there for food, so I'd like to return to try something else. Parking was 2-hours free at the lot across the way, even around 11a it was packed though, so I recommend coming maybe later since this is where the police station and library area among other businesses. read more

Came for the Summer Fridays pop-up brand event on a weekday shortly after they opened and thankfully it wasn't busy at that time. I tried the frozen pistachio matcha with raspberry puree and I enjoyed the drink. While the flavors were fun together and I liked the unique ice blended version of a matcha, the ceremonial grade matcha essence got a bit lost and was also a bit too milky. Service wasn't the warmest; the employee at the register said that I couldn't get a Summer Fridays product if I ordered another drink for my friend while she was at work, which I was a bit bummed about since I saw online that others were able to get a product per drink from their collab menu. Price was also on the steeper side ($13 before tax and tip, ended up around $16 total), but can't really complain since it's free beauty goodies. I was given the vanilla lip butter balm and a mini jet lag mask! There is free parking for a couple of hours in the nearby parking garage (make sure you double check because there are some paid ones close by also). Finding the cafe was a bit tough since it's kinda hidden away, but follow the signage! I took my drink to-go, but they have cute indoor and outdoor seating options. I have given Leora a couple of tries now, and both times they messed up my drink order. I'm one of those people who apologizes for everything, even when I didn't do anything lol, but the most recent mishap really threw me off. I was handed the Vanilla Cream Latte without any cold foam. For context, I had this drink a few weeks before, and the entire reason I went back was because the pistachio cold foam is amazing. The coffee itself is pretty meh, but the cold foam makes the drink. I kindly got the barista's attention and said, "I'm so sorry, but I noticed my drink didn't have the cold foam and it's my favorite part. Would it be possible to get some?" The guy said, "Oh," and swiped the drink away. I watched him struggle to remove the can-style lid, then dump some of the drink into the sink. That was already a bummer since everything had mixed together, so he was pouring out part of the actual latte. I assumed he was making room for the cold foam and was going to leave it alone. Instead, he grabbed a new cup and absolutely FILLED it with ice. I thought he might be multitasking and making someone else's drink, so I kept waiting. Nope. He took my original drink and poured some of it into the new cup packed with ice, leaving about half of my original drink behind in the other cup. He then started putting cold foam over the small amount of coffee he managed to fit into the ice-filled cup and was about to seal it. I quickly asked if that was my new drink, and he said yes. I again said, "I'm so sorry, but you're dumping out half my original drink and a lot of the coffee / caffeine that was mixed in. Would you mind remaking it?" He seemed so annoyed. He didn't say anything and started remaking it. What happened next was even funnier. The remake initially looked normal, but then I noticed he left around 40% of the cup completely empty. Another barista came over and asked what it was. He handed it to her and said something along the lines of, "I guess her drink didn't have cold foam, so she made me remake it. She wanted cold foam. Give her cold foam." And he laughed. And they proceeded to fill the remaining 40% of the cup with cold foam lol. So here is the photo of my approximately 60% latte, 40% cold foam. Honestly, I doubt I'd go back. The drink was a special being removed from the menu at the end of the month anyway, part of why I wanted to grab it again to enjoy once more lol. But it's wild, and also kind of funny, how petty the staff seemed over a customer kindly and apologetically asking them to remake a $9.87 latte they made incorrectly. I'm genuinely curious how they react when someone is rude about it, especially given the prices. That isn't even the most expensive coffee on the menu lol. I'd at least expect to get what I paid for though. Yikes. It definitely gives tourist trap vibes, and I guess it's gained popularity because the Biebers go there. But I'm pretty certain they aren't acting that way toward, or messing up, Justin and Hailey's orders haha. They did a pop-up inside the store, and they also set up a few seatings outside. It's pretty quiet when I went on a Sunday, everyone was taking pictures in front of the Paul Smith's pink wall as always lol On their social media, they said they offer sweet treats besides the drinks, but they didn't have food when I was there. So we ordered coffee/matcha drinks and a cheese burekas at the to go counter since there was a wait and I was hungry. I got my frozen Matcha first and we had to wait a little bit for the frozen coffee, but when we asked, she brought it to us. The frozen coffee with oat milk with quarter sweet was delicious! The frozen Matcha was also good and that was with 2% milk and half sweet. That was good, but the frozen coffee was better. Love, love, love the packaging of the coffee and Matcha drinks. Super cute! The bureka was cold and a little dry and really should be heated up before handing to customer, but I was so hungry I just needed a couple bites of something until we got our table. It would've been better had it been heated and properly served. We got our table for three. Eva was our server and she was really nice. Also, I have to give a shout out to Peter. He was super sweet. My husband and I came for a late lunch around 3pm today (Saturday), and we had such a great time! The place is PACKED and we fully expected to wait for a long time for a table, but we put our name in and were seated roughly 10 minutes later. The tuna melt is truly the best I've ever had - the ratio between tuna, cheese, and bread is *chef's kiss*. We saw that it had gone viral, and there is a great reason for it. And if you're looking to up the sandwich even more, ordering a side of chipotle aioli to put on the tuna made for one of the most delicious sandwiches I've truly ever had. The holy schnitz was also amazing, and I also put some of the chipotle aioli on it. I'm pretty sure I could eat that by itself though - it is SO good. The tahini flavor is definitely strong, so that is something to consider flavor-wise, but I thought it was so tasty. It is also HUGE, and I brought home half to eat later. The fries are perfect. Perfectly crispy, perfectly thin, perfectly seasoned. A side order is great for 2 people. The drinks were also SO good. Love the aesthetic in the cute soda can-style bottles (someone else said '2016 aesthetic' and I totally agree). Loved loved loved this place. Also, our waitress was SO kind. 2016 aesthetic is back?! I came to LEORA because of social media posts about the cute cans that fit the 2016 era. I finally found the time to come here with a friend on a late Saturday afternoon to grab a bite. Finding this place can be really tricky since they're located behind a few office buildings and maps doesn't exactly know where it is and will make you make a lot of turns. If you go down W 3rd St, there's a long strip of parking spots that require a paid parking meter. You can see the white signs that direct you to their storefront! It was pretty busy on a Saturday late afternoon at 3pm! Our plan was to walk-in and get a table but it was an hour wait so we opted for their take-out instead! I did notice that they had quite a few tables available but it had a reserved plaque on it so definitely get a reservation (on their website) prior to coming here if you don't want to wait. The take-out process was quite easy! If you don't want to wait, they also have their own app so you can place your order ahead of time. You walk into the store and a cashier will take your order! We wanted their banana bread that's displayed in a transparent display but there was a pretty big fly trapped inside so we decided not to at the last minute. We did order their frozen coffee, garlic fries, and chicken caesar wrap. The total ended up being $50. Food: Frozen Coffee (7/10): I loved the can aesthetic that they use! They store most of their take-out drinks in this plastic cup with a soda can lid stapled on top of it. The coffee was just okay. It was creamy, not too sweet, and was just a regular frozen coffee taste. Not sure if it was just us, but we couldn't keep the cup because the lid was impossible to remove. Chicken Caesar Wrap (7/10): This wrap was massive! It was tightly wrapped and packed with tons of grilled chicken, lettuce, but very few croutons. They sear one side of the tortilla which adds a nice char to the taste! They also give a side of dressing but it was too watery and lemony for my preference. I prefer my dressings to be thicker and creamier. Garlic Fries (7/10): These were shoestring dressed with garlic (oil?) and parsley! The fries were amazing. They came out fresh and crispy with a side of Heinz ketchup. I was searching for the garlic bits and flavor within the fries but had a hard time finding both. I wished there were garlic bits that came with the fries so it adds a little depth to the flavor. I was so curious if the food at Leora would live up to the hype. I brought some friends here for Sunday brunch around noon. The wait was about an hour and the line did not die down. Luckily the Beverly Hills Farmers Market kept us busy. I ordered the Jerusalem bagel, my friends ordered the Huevos Rancheros & the smoked salmon and tater tots. We all got a round of Iced matcha - mine was frozen. Presentation was amazing (I mean look at my bagel picture) and as someone who gets full easily - I finished the whole thing, not a crumb left. My least favorite part of the meal was probably the frozen matcha. It was on the sweeter side and had more ice than liquid if that makes sense. Let me start by saying... the frozen coffee. Ever since the day I had it, I think about it daily. Perfectly balanced, not overly sweet...just so good. I've been meaning to see what the hype is about this place. Like other places in LA, you have your popular items like Avacado Toast etc. on the menu and the choices are diverse. I was excited to try the Matcha here as I've seen collaborations with brands on social media, but to me it tasted very average and watered down/a bit flavor less. An awesome little hidden café attached to a small office park in Beverly Hills. You cannot see the café from the street but as you walk up, you will hear the noise of the music and the chatter of people and it does feel like a little oasis in the middle of the city. There are many parking spaces around for the office building, but we decided to just park on the street, which is a short walk to the front door. Inside is pretty large, they have indoor and outdoor seating and is surprisingly larger than I was expecting. The menu is actually very large and it has a lot of great options on it. Service was a bit slow for us and when we arrived, we stood there for a while at the "please wait to be seated" sign but no one was on duty so that was a bit of a bad introduction, but it got better from there. I had heard many great things about the Tuna Melt so I decided to try that for my brunch and added avocado. I thought it was fantastic and I especially appreciated how crispy the bread was. I also ordered a Salted Caramel Latte and that too was very nice although I wish it would've been a bit larger in size. This very trendy spot was understaffed, disorganized and had confused staff. That is not to say that the food wasn't delicious because it was. The line was long. Lots of young families. Prices were reasonable. Interesting combinations. I loved the hummus and crudite starter with rainbow radishes and carrots. My chicken salad was the least appetizing. The veg were chopped too thin and the chicken was not hot. The breading fell off of every piece but the ginger dressing was tasty. I did not see any sesame. I went to the ladies room which was strewn with paper all over the floor and the stalls were out of toilet paper. When I mentioned it to a staff member she said that the restrooms were in the UTA building and they had no control. Get it together, folks. read more

I had been seeing this café all over my feed and was excited to try it, but the experience fell short overall. The location is hard to find, tucked behind the Live Nation office, which is inconvenient for first-time visitors. I visited on a Tuesday and was surprised by how busy it was. The space felt extremely cramped and, claustrophobic. There is limited seating inside along with a patio. Our table was placed right by the entrance. It honestly felt like a safety concern, as it in the doorway and made the area uncomfortable. The menu offers a normal selection of breakfast and lunch items, but nothing particularly unique or memorable compared to other cafés in LA. I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich It was ok, the chicken was quite dry and pesto was minimal. My friends got a Mexican bowl and the falafel wrap. Both were also mediocre. Overall, the café seems to cater primarily to nearby office workers looking for a quick and convenient bite rather than a standout dining experience. That said, the frozen mocha coffee was genuinely enjoyable. With soooo many amazing café options in LA, this spot did not offer anything distinctive enough to make me come back. I would skip and not recommend to others. Go to République instead, or like butcher's daughter, or panini kabob grill, for more a authentic Mediterranean cuisine read more
