This was my first visit to Leonidas, and I had no idea they offered lunch and a full coffee bar. I had always assumed it was just a specialty chocolate shop, but it's so much more than that. The store is full of great items that just about anyone would enjoy. I stopped by two days in a row for an afternoon espresso, and both the coffee quality and service were excellent. Stopped here after my grandsons AAU tournament. We all had Hot Chocolate. Very good but not cheap! I also bought some of their chocolate almond bars orange chocolate bars and Hazelnut bars. This is such a cute, yummy little café! There's unique options to choose broke in terms of chocolates, coffees, and bakery goods. So far so fabulous! I love the simple but elegant atmosphere. There's a couple of comfy seating areas as well as tables and chairs inside and outside. I elected on outside in the beautiful sun. I ordered an almond croissant and elected to order a tiny jar of honey to go with it. I also chose a lavender matcha tea from the plethora of teas, coffees, and drinks. Great, friendly service! First time customers and wanted to enjoy some coffee and a croissant. We got the iced caramel latte and ube latte. They were both great and the espresso wasn't over powering. The ube latte was a little sweeter cause they add condensed milk but it was a perfect sweetness cause I do like my drinks a little sweet. Definitely recommend. Not sure about this place. My second visit and still the sweets are stale and way overpriced. The service is friendly but average. Today I tried a blueberry and lemon cheesecake for $9 I thought that was a fair price but then the slice I got looks like somebody cut it in half. I was handed a spoon instead of a fork and a tiny napkin that was smaller than cocktail size that was dollar store quality. The ambience is confusing. It is across between Starbucks and a velvet lounge. Leonidas is supposed to be Greek meaning lion, but many of the pastries are French, Egyptian, and American. They do have Dubai chocolate, if you're looking for that latest craze. If you're looking for good cheesecake or unique desserts, I would keep looking. read more

Came in to check out the chocolate and also cool down. It's so hot walking around the outdoor mall and this was a great place with some seating for us to grab a cold beverage and sit some. Looked like other shoppers had the same idea! They had all sorts of chocolates and they serve TeaBella tea. This is my fav local tea so of course I had to have an iced one. After brunch, my friends and I decided to visit Leonidas for some caffeine. We initially mistook the place for a jewelry store as the outside looked more upscale--which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the Vanilla Iced Chai with oat milk. It wasn't as sweet as I prefer, and compared to the Starbucks' Chai, it had a spicier flavor. Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. One of my friends hadn't received her order even after almost 30 minutes of waiting. When she went to the counter to respectfully inquire about her order, she was met with a VERY rude response from a staff who implied that my friend hadn't ordered a drink and to make matters worse, she hastily printed out a copy of my friend's check to try and support her accusations. She did not apologize when it was found that she was at fault, and instead continued to maintain the same negative attitude. It was extremely rude and unprofessional. With mediocre drinks and poor service, we will not be returning to Leonidas. It's unfortunate as I'm a sucker for treats and they had a couple I would have loved to try in the future. read more

I've been looking everywhere for authentic Belgian waffles and chocolates for years. I was so excited to see a Leonidas since I saw a leonidas when I was in Brussels. I saw outside on their sign they had waffles so of course I had to try it. I was hoping for a slightly harder chocolate on the waffle and the ice cream was soft serve which isn't my fav, but it was still delicious. I think whipped cream would have been better than the ice cream. The white chocolate waffle was perfect (and I'm not a white chocolate fan) but I enjoyed the white chocolate waffle in Belgium more too, so I am glad it was consistent. I will absolutely be back for more Belgian waffles in the future and bring my parents too since they miss authentic Belgian waffles as well. read more

Very excited that there is a new chocolate cafe in Wesley Chapel. They had their ribbon cutting this week on Thursday, and then sent me a message through Instagram letting me know they were open on Friday. Today is their grand opening from 2-6. There will be a master chocolatier present as well as music. Definitely check them out. When I visited, they were so wonderfully welcoming. They have chocolates from Belgium, desserts, soft serve ice creams, sundaes, coffees, teas, and hot chocolates. I picked out a chocolate coconut, and chocolate raspberry chocolate and they also gave us a chocolate crunch. With that a coffee with Dulce de leche. All were wonderful. OMG! Stopped in while my son was boxing at Jabz. Had the cheesecake dipped in chocolate. The amazing part is the choices of chocolate to dip it in and toppings to add. I chose the salted milk chocolate which was amazing. The chocolate is so smooth and the cheesecake was so creamy. Perfect perfect combination. We are hooked. I also bought a chocolate croissant which was exactly what you'd expect from a Belgian chocolate place. They also have ice cream which I hope to try soon. I often frequent Wiregrass for shopping and dining and this place is one of my favorites to stop into! I've gone for a cappuccino and it was delicious so I stopped in again and got one with the spinach puff and it was amazing!! It's like a spinach quiche and a homemade croissant had a baby and it's heavenly!!! I ordered some to go desserts and the tiramisu is top notch. Most recently I stocked up on chocolates for my kiddos Easter baskets and they had the cutest selection! On the cafe board it said $3.75 plus a dollar for coffee flavor I picked caramel. I was shocked to see I was charged $5.05 in a small glass. When I was sitting down - I think one of the managers came in with his wife and out of control kids well at least the young girl was most definitely. Parents did nothing. He walked behind me and went outside to fix one of the umbrellas and his female child went screaming behind me. I can't take this anymore. Is it bring your annoying child to mall day. The iced coffee was terrible. A fly was bothering me. The male parent -I am thinking was the male manager or owner gave me a dirty look. Then I noticed the female child go alone behind the counter talking loudly and screaming. You don't control this you won't get customers. Felt ripped off on my iced beverage. I didn't get peace and quiet what so ever. The desserts were overpriced so were the chocolates. Very disappointing. Won't be back. Stopped in today with my husband and little one. Really charming and peaceful ambiance; the store was clean, roomy, and quiet with sophisticated decor. The cashier was pleasant and kindly helped us pick out a couple items. I got the dipped cheesecake (which was delicious) and hubby got a hot coffee (cafe mocha). Also got a plain vanilla soft serve for my toddler, and it was possibly the best soft serve I've ever had! Yes, I had to help eat it of course :) We are looking forward to visiting again in the near future. There's a chai tea latte I had my eye on among lots of other goodies.
