Much like the previous review, we built a home and Leonardi was the landscaper used by our builder. Our landscape designer gave them a detailed, yet easy-to-follow plan and still they managed to: -landscape entire portions of the yard meant to stay wild -misplace irrigation systems -bark the wrong areas of the yard -lay down hydroseed (who can know, really, since our yard is all clover, but we paid for hydroseed) without then watering it Check out this picture of our lawn, which cost tens of thousands of dollars. If we could give a rating of negative 50 stars we would choose that. We had read the previous reviews and were very very concerned, but the general contractor we were working with (and used to trust), vouched for Leonardi and insisted they would do great work. I urge anyone looking for a landscaper/installer to NOT EVEN THINK of hiring this unscrupulous and worse than mediocre business. They used low-quality plant material, much of which is now dying. They said the specified light fixtures were out of stock but then our Landscape Architect called the lighting supplier and was told Leonardi hadn't even contacted them to place an order. They installed the incorrect type of ivy, using a very invasive type, when everything was clearly specified on detailed plans from the landscape architect. This wasn't a piddly little job, it was a complete re-landscaping of a large front and back yard. Eventually we got Tony Leonardi (the guy whose name is on the business!) to come see all the problems himself. We told him very directly and honestly that the work was substandard and we hold him accountable. He barely apologized and has not done even ONE thing he promised at that meeting to do to rectify all the negligent work. That was well over a month ago. I could go on, but will stop now. We bought a home and leonardi was the company the builder had used. The builder had to compensate for leonardi on multiple occasions at purchase, 1 month and 1 year warranty. Where do I even begin. They put in plants suited for a business office, not a residence. They were the cheapest possible choice, and a dozen of them with poisonous berries. A dozen had died during the warranty period, now two years out I've had to replace most of them. They cut corners everywhere - warped fence boards, unleveled driveway pavers, buried one of the sprinkler heads and improperly installed the whole unit. They were impossible to get the warranty fixes from. Joe was rude, tried to blame us (we hadn't even moved in yet). I've never worked with such an incompetent company. Neighbors had huge problems with them as well. Find another landscaper or do it yourself. You will thank yourself a thousand times over. read more

I got a fence installed with them over a year ago and have spent months trying to get warranty repairs done on the fence. The owner Joe was very rude when I tried to get him to fulfill his contract and he keeps postponing the work. I believe they may be out of business as BBB.org shows that their lines are disconnected and it is very difficult to get a hold of them. read more

I bought a large weeping willow tree a year ago. It was delivered and planted but went into shock within a week. Tony Leonardi came to look at it and offered to replace the tree or refund my money. I chose to replace the tree. I waited over 8 months for the replacement, then requested the refund. Tony agreed to refund the money but stalled for over a month. He finally said "the refund was not approved". We spoke to Joe, who was very rude, said he would not pay the refund, even though the offer was made and excepted. They are always super hard to get ahold of and god forbid they owe you any money, you had better just kiss that money goodbye or plan on harassing them for months to get them to live up to their promises. leonardi landscaping install our landscaping for our new home. they did not prepare the ground at all and now after 6 months the yard does not drain water when it rains so we have a pool in our yard. we have more weeds than anything eles in our flower beds. 50% of the plants have died and when i went to turn on the sprinkler system, it does not work good. when i called to ask for help, i had a very cold reception and felt like i waqs imposing on "Joe". he lacks cumsotmer service skills. i would never recomend this company. when there are much better landscapers to choose from. stay away!!! read more
