They ensured the order was correct, took care of the material delivery, installed the water feature, and made sure they provided me with as much information they could about the newly installed water feature. John had just come out of eye surgery, but still maintained excellent communication throughout the project, making sure I was in the loop of the project status and that all my questions were answered. I especially appreciated the communication as what I had in mind for the project was a custom design where I wanted to mix different water features together to create a themed contrast sort of look. Even though John wasn't allowed to lift any heavy objects per doctor's orders, he meticulously led his team to ensure the project went smoothly and that everything ended up exactly how I expected. The crew was awesome and very professional. We even shared some laughs about how after the order for this project was put in, other people started to order the same materials to copy the same design. Hehe! We really appreciate the Hardscapes By Design team. Our water feature will surely be a highlight for our backyard project thanks to their quality work. Several came out for bids, but only about half followed up or responded to my emails. Doan's bid was in line with the other bids I received, with a slight competitive edge. Doan's Landscaping is a family business and Doan's wife Jessica handled the correspondences. She was very timely with her responses and was available via email, phone, and text. For what I was looking for Doan and Jessica were very easy to work with. I just wanted to replace my old and dilapidated fence with the same style that was existing and putting a small retaining wall and pavers throughout. I wasn't looking to use a landscape designer to do anything fancy, but I think if you had a vision that Doan and Jessica could achieve it. Doan's team were early every morning and they actually completed the job sooner than expected, which in my experience having completed two whole home remodeling projects never happens so I was very impressed with their team's work ethic. They worked incredibly hard even when it was pouring with rain. Either or both Doan and Jessica themselves were onsite most days working along side their team. There was a bit of miscommunication with part of the retaining wall, but they came back to fix it and now it looks as expected. Overall I'm very happy with the experience and quality of work. The job was completed early and on budget. It was a great value for what I paid.

To completely ghost me and not even respond after agreeing to do the project is some of the most unprofessional behavior I've ever encountered. If he doesn't want to do my project, fine. Just be a decent human and tell me. Now I am several weeks behind on my project. Please save yourself weeks of headache and choose a different company!
