Previously we were not using our backyard too often - we had huge leyland cypresses along our fenceline that absolutely choked any sunlight out of the backyard. We had moss everywhere, grass that struggled to grow in the shade and grew patchy, and some large magnolia trees that would constantly get damaged by the winter snows. We love being outdoors and spending time in our backyard, but wanted to upgrade the space. We worked with Nick to create a custom plan and redesign our backyard from the ground up, including a covered patio area with BBQ grill and flat top, mini fridge, and a beautiful stone fireplace. Nick's team wrapped the columns of the patio cover with stone, and laid it all out on a bluestone paved patio. He was also able to accommodate a hot tub, and finished it all off with lovely landscaping and plants. We even added a shed and wired it up as an extra entertainment room. Throughout the whole process Nick was patient and accommodating, and was flexible as we encountered problems or changes that needed to be made. I called the owner and he said he would install replacement plants and make it right. Again, they came to my house and were late. The owner who claims to be a project mgr did not come, did not check the quality of work, or communicate in any way. Four weeks later, I have to weed constantly, plants are nearly dead because they are in direct sun, and found that the mulch that I was required to purchase to hold water for the new plants was used to cover the existing weeds which were not removed. I do not recommend you trust them to do the work that you are paying them to do.

They showed up as soon as they were able to provide bids, faster than any other landscaper I asked for a bid from, and took extra time to be clear and ask questions about what I wanted. I would have no worries about communicating with this company. I would ignore any Yelp reviews where somebody gave them 1 or 2 stars for communication, answering the phone, etc. I would also remind people that Noels landscaping has a ton of positive reviews on non-Yelp sites.
