A stem from my eyeglasses came off due to a lost screw. I couldn't find a screw tiny enough to repair it myself, so I went to LensCrafters. Joseph, the store manager, replaced the screw for free--which I greatly appreciated, as it took only a minute and the screw couldn't have cost very much. While I was at the store, Joseph told me that his establishment is one of the few stores nationwide that offers "clarified plus" exams. This type of exam assesses the topography of the eye, much like topography maps of land that give you height elevations in incredible detail. This allows for more precise prescriptions, in much smaller increments than most prescriptions typically allow. As someone who is sensitive to nuances, I may want this in the future. This is the extent of my contact with them. If I order any products in the future, I will update this review. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE experience. 10/10 do NOT recommend EVER ordering through their website. I ordered glasses to be shipped to the local store. They said they were delivered but the store said they never received them. Said they were sending a replacement to my house, strung me along for a month because of a "system" issue (which no one could tell me what that meant) and every time I emailed it was like they just send random responses that didn't even make sense, they don't even read your email. Then out of nowhere they cancelled the order and said they were sending a refund. So disappointed. Never again. read more

Amazing staff, my dog chewed up my glasses and they went the extra mile and got my glasses to me same day.

They are a corporate store that does NOT abide by LensCrafter policies. Store refused to accept a return within stated time. Charged me additional money saying I needed to use their warranty service. They told me to work with them and give them more time... and they would note my timely return requests and that I could return after I give them time to fix the problems. I went to other eye doctors and had glasses checked by additional professionals. Been trying to work with them for 10 months - never been able to wear glasses!!! Over $1000 total purchase. I filed a corporate incident report 10 days ago and haven't heard a thing. Stay away from this store. read more

Recently tried using the Insurance option on a couple pair of glasses I've gotten at this location and came to find that the manager that helped me made 2 mistakes with my order. 1) told me I can dispose of the pair I was replacing (not true) & 2) ordered the wrong pair to begin with. After speaking with a different manager about the situation I was told that I was SOL. I'd have to pay full price for a brand new pair and they'd be more careful going forward. It's over a month I did not get my prescription glasses. I believe lot of big chains are sending or outsourcing labs to either India or Philippines. Here they charge average around 300 plus dollars for lab work on prescription glasses but outsourcing cost them $25 to 30 dollars. It's a shameful thing they might be doing. I'm not sure if LensCrafters is doing this but definitely it's mind boggling that it's taking over 30 days to get glasses done. In Pakistan two years ago I got my prescription glasses done with all the options like glare and sun glasses etc in two hours. read more

My wife and I have spent thousands over the years at Lenscrafters on prescription reading, driving and cycling glasses. Our reward for loyalty was to get pushy sales calls. The latest caller identified as from Lenscrafters, told me I hadn't been in for 18 months and wanted to know whether I was going to come in on a weekday or weekend for my appointment. I suggested maybe she should ask whether I wanted to come in for an appointment before moving on to deciding which day? She told me not to be so rude and hung up on me. My daughter was in need of getting her glasses fixed and adjusted since she managed to somehow pop out one of her lenses and bent the frame. I don't even want to know how. We were near by this location running errands so pooped in hoping they could fix them. We were greeted right away with smiles from multiple employees who helped seat us and start work in her glasses with no questions asked. The gentleman that helps us even managed to make my daughter laugh on several occasions which is no easy feat since she's a teenager. Her glasses were fixed in less than ten minutes and we both left happy. Me because I didn't have to pay for anything and her because she could see. Win win. read more

I love Lenscrafters. I've been a customer for 8 years. Best quality lenses. My prescription is so bad my parents thought I was going blind at 10. LOL! Their poly lenses which are less expensive than their Featherweights but so thin no one can tell I have a very high near sighted Rx. They have constant sales and they accept my insurance. I get my extremely expensive glasses for less than $400. Over $800 elsewhere. Especially optometrists dispensaries. Their frame selection is the best. Totally on-trend frames at every price point. And their web site allows me to shop frames that are best with my face shape, for my style (which they can determine based on a short quiz! Their people are the best customer service representatives no matter which state, city or store you shop at. 5 stars! I can't say enough good things about this corporation. They can even get you glasses in less than 2 hours in an emergency. Not at all stores so check in advance. read more

Dr Le is really friendly, professional and prompt. Heidi on the LensCrafters side was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and patient as I went through my options for reading and sunglasses. Made an appointment online, called to verify if they excepted BCBS BlueVision before driving an hour to the appointment. Receptionist said yes they except BlueVision. Drove all the way there and the receptionist tells me oh sorry we don't except your BCBS BlueVision. I told her I just called and you said you did. Receptionists reply was "ummm, ya, but not this BlueVision, sometime they go through MED but not now. how many different types of BCBS BlueVision insurances are there. Waisted 2hrs of my day, 2 hours of gas because they don't know what they are doing. read more

Glasses purchased here previously, were damaged when first fitted. The screws holding the lenses were stripped (the screw heads were stripped, maybe used a too small screwdriver?). Went in today and was told replacement screws will not match the frames. The agent proceeded to damage the screw heads more, this time leaving metal shavings on the frame and lens. Worse now than when I brought them in. She went on to (attempt to) adjust the frames. The agent thought the arms being 1/4 inch above my ears was OK, also that the end of the arm which was also 1/4 inch off my head was OK... "but if you want it changed, I can change it". Worst customer service I've experienced. This agent would do more for Lens Crafters if she worked for a competitor. You should pay her to work somewhere else. 12 noon today. One thousand dollars for this pair of glasses... and damaged from the start. read more

If you try to reorder contacts from the optical side they do not provide the complementary trial pairs!! I tried ordering contacts and asked for a trial pair but the lady on the phone (Sue) stated she only offers them if you have an appointment. I've got a current prescription (under a year) and ran out. My glasses give me a migraine. She is not willing to work with me and only wants to just order them. They are overpriced and sams club or Costco offers at a much better discount and friendlier service!! Buyer beware! read more

My review has really nothing to do with Staff or Service. I took first pair of glasses back. They were Vogue brand. Made very cheaply and I looked terrible in them. The Gals were very understanding and really no questions asked. The exchange was within the 30 day return policy. Well the second pair I chose were also Vogue. They were probably the most expensive glasses I have purchased, and I have had a lot. They were about $400 on top of insurance. I should have steered clear of the Vogues. These are horrible. SO cheaply made. I have had them about a month now. The sides are already stretching out. I have to be mindful of getting them over my ears. They are impossible to keep clean. I feel like I am looking through a dirty window. The frames are single thickness metal. They're just plain cheap I hate them. Really look over what you're buying and ASK questions. I am so unhappy with them, I rarely wear them. I don't know if Lenscrafters is buying second rate inventory to accommodate style, but I hope not.... read more

I was trying to order new glasses. LensCrafters gave me my prescription but refused to give me pupil distance. I was informed they no longer do this because it takes away from them. I've already bought a $500 pair of glasses from them just wanted to get an extra pair from somewhere else to save a little money. Was planning on going back to them to get my contacts. This is no longer the case! They have lost my business. My husband and daughter both bought their glasses their too. We will be going elsewhere for our eyeglass needs! read more

This review leaves me conflicted. My Local store here in Rochester, NY was awesome when it came to customer service. As of writing this we are in the middle of COVID-19 and I have been trying to get information to renew my drivers license. A month ago I reached out to Lenscrafters customer service to get a form filled out so I can pass that information along to NYS to renew license online. Because I live in a household where my spouse has an immunity deficiency I was trying to stay out of the public as much as possible. DMV's are closed so I can not make an appointment there. As of today any attempt to reach out to Lenscrafters has been futile. There should be a way to contact the doctor that provided my eye exam to fill out the form other than customer service at the National level. Nobody has reached out to me from the company unless I actively contact them even though there are 2 open requests in the past month. And when I do contact them they say they sent over the request. Not sure what that means but If the local store is closed and I can not leave a message when I call them directly so who knows if they even tried to reach out. Well I found that there maybe 1 store near me that is open for emergencies so I can try them to see. Please get your act together Lenscrafters on the National level because you are making your local stores look terrible. I can not wait for my local store to open so I can get the customer service I have always received from Lenscrafters. If this is what I have to look forward to with an online purchase then that will never happen read more

My wife and I both had our eyes examined at this location, and the staff is highly trained on the best equipment available. The staff is polite, professional and extremely competent. I am very pleased with the customer service I received today at LensCrafters! The general manager Joseph was extremely helpful and knowledgable. He listened to what I wanted and helped guide me in the right direction. It was refreshing that he didn't try and oversell me but he was able to work with me and my insurance to stay within an affordable price. He was able to answer all of my questions and even elaborated on them. It was very obvious that he knows the information well and excels at it. On top of that, Jospeh was very thorough and made sure every detail was correct. I wish more people had his outstanding costumer service skills! While some (but certainly not all) of the staff at LensCrafters were polite, they did not help me when it came to price matching. I found a pair of frames at LensCrafters for $172 that only cost $76 online. Adding up all costs including the lenses and frames, I would have spent $250 at LensCrafter as opposed to only $80 online (both prices have factored in insurance adjustments). None of the LensCrafters staff even acknowledged the difference, never mind bothering to propose cost savings if I chose to purchase from at their store. All is well though... I have a terrific pair of Michael Kors glasses purchased from designeroptics.com for a total cost of under $80! read more
