Do NOT buy Ray-Ban Meta glasses at this LensCrafters I purchased a new pair of Ray-Ban Meta glasses here and liked them a lot at first. About two months later they developed electrical problems that were a factory defect. When I came in for a replacement they wanted to charge me $125. I thought that was odd for a clear defect so soon after purchase, but I was willing to pay because I wanted my glasses back. In the meantime I received a text from Ray-Ban telling me I should not pay anything and that I needed to speak with someone higher up at LensCrafters. I asked to speak with a manager. A young employee named Devon became very irrational and unprofessional, insisted she was the person in charge, and was not in a state to have a calm conversation. I left to give her time to collect herself. I returned the next day and paid the $125 ransom just to get my glasses. After that, another manager named Jerry told me I am no longer allowed back in the store. I was cool patient and respectful the entire time. The defensiveness over a straightforward warranty issue felt off and shady , why are they so defensive?? I am pursuing a refund. If you want Ray-Ban Meta glasses, buy them directly from Ray-Ban or a different authorized retailer. This location made a simple factory-defect replacement into a drawn-out time consuming , expensive, and hostile experience. read more

LensCrafters - avoid this store - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - San Diego, California

I chose to shop at the LensCrafters at Fashion Valley Mall to purchase a pair of contacts and was helped by a wonderful team of staff. This is a 10/10 business. I want to personally shoutout Devon the manager, Antonio the sales representative, and Marilu the optician. Devon was able to help me with insurance related questions as well as apply a savings discount to my expensive custom order. Antonio was a very poised and professional salesman who made me feel excited to purchase with the LensCrafters as opposed to competitors. Marilu rung me up and assisted with purchasing and delivery matters. Marilu also gave me cool tips on ordering certain contacts brands and getting a future eye exam done at the office. I would highly recommend this LensCrafters for anyone looking for top notch service and excellent eye treatment. read more

The staff at Lens Crafters is great. Shout out to Isaac for straightening my frame (purchased at Lens Crafter)!

You could say everything is in a name, LensCrafters, they're absolutely living up to their promise of amazing craftsmanship. I've been wearing glasses since I was five years old and being able to see clearly is truly life-changing! Understanding what your vision entails when it comes to progressive lenses and types, has never been explained with such precision on every level. Every single team member I've interacted with, from Crystal to Jocelyn and Alyssa, has been exceptional in bringing my vision to life. I've had outstanding experiences with the entire female staff here and I was initially disheartened by my own eye doctor who claimed I couldn't have the Ray-Ban Meta in my prescription due to its high plus power! I'm astonished that despite my high prescription, these talented ladies made it a reality. I don't know if this will be possible for everyone, but it's certainly worth trying as they went above and beyond to make the impossible happen. This location stands out as probably the most luxurious LensCrafters I've seen and offers unparalleled service. The staff here are not just helpful and friendly but also genuinely invested in their work. Their quality and timing were impressive - despite being told I would need to wait, they delivered my glasses ahead of schedule! This is undoubtedly the best service I've experienced in San Diego. read more

Horrible! DO NOT COME HERE!! I'm so irritated that I forgot to ask for his name! First of all they will totally try to scam you and make you pay for extra options you did not ask for! Especially all the top tier options and they dont tell you that there are lower options until I asked why was our bill so high. They made it seem like we had to get these options because its a "name brand" frame. We got a text a week after that our glasses were at the store ready for pickup but we specifically ask for it to be shipped to our home so we waited. Another week goes by and we have not gotten our glasses in the mail. I called them and they said they didnt see any note to ship them and I can just come pick it. We ordered two glasses and I asked them to double check if both glasses were there so that I wouldn't have any complications picking them up since they didnt ship them. The lady name Devin puts me on hold and hands the phone to a guy that was just rude and gave me the run around why they didnt ship them and I can just pick it up. His offer to "expedite" the order was very unclear and I didn't want to risk it since he was so rude. I had a feeling he was definitely not going to "expedite" my order and ill have to wait another week for them. I hope he did not tamper with them because of this misunderstanding. Would be very unprofessional. read more

Thank you so much again for you and your team Alyssa. read more

Beware, this location is a total scam. Walked in for an eye exam, was told different price than what they wanted to charge me post appointment. Manager was so upset I demanded to pay the price I was told that they hung up on me. After I placed an order for eye glasses for over $600, they came today - the temples are crooked and wiggle like $5 pair of glasses. I called them to see if they can replace them but they HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN! This business clearly thinks that is ok to mislead customers when it comes to price of service and when you have any issue with your expensive glasses it's just best practice to hang up yet again. Very disappointing experience, next time I will take my business elsewhere read more

This review is for the store at Fashion Valley Mall, across from Nordstrom - NOT the Lens Crafter inside Macys. Not sure why they even have a store in Macys given that this one offers a much larger selection. I also checked out the store at Mission Valley but returned to this store to make my purchase because of the excellent service I received from Victoria and Crystal. They were so nice and patient, answered all my insurance questions, and helped me select my frame and options to get the best possible pricing. Hands down the best experience I have had in over 40yrs of wearing glasses. read more

This review is mainly for the manager Carrie here. Please note I currently the duchess here which means i come here a lot and have enjoyed my past experiences until now. Purchased my boyfriend's glasses here and we come here to get them adjusted. Been here 4 times within the last month. Last week, the manager Carrie helped us heat adjust and clean his glasses. Immediately after leaving, I spot a large scratch across his left lens right in the middle. We called back because we were unable to turn around that day and made an appointment to go see her regarding this issue for today. Over the phone she said just come back in when she's there and she would be able to order a replacement lens. Upon our arrival, she explains that there are other small scratches on the right lens (not the lens in question). She says that if you do not dust them off prior to cleaning, they will get scratched. Then proceeded to tell us that all she did was put them in the heater, adjust them and clean them. And that we might have not noticed THIS LONG SCRATCH RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LENS prior to her adjusting them (????) This manager, Carrie, scratched his lens and now refuses to replace it. She kept pushing his warranty on him saying oh well you can just order a new one. That is not the point. He did not cause this scratch on his own. You caused the issue, and you need to fix it. We will be making a complaint to corporate and BBB. Terrible manager. Will never be coming here again. read more

I have came here and brought my children here for the past 3 years. I have always had wonderful customer service and they were always so friendly and caring to my children. Each time they would always give my children coloring books to keep them busy while I was dealing with everything else. I highly recommend the store! read more

Worst customer service ever. I was there 10 min before my appointment, told the clerk that I need to check in. They kept talking to one another.... Then they sprayed the lens cleaning solution into my face...so rude! Took my insurance and walked away. Such a waste of time! Will never go back read more

I'm not always classy. About a month ago, in a moment of complete idiocy, and after a fun night out with friends, I happened to sit on my favourite pair of glasses as soon as I got home. I heard the crunch and fortunately the lenses were absolutely fine, but the frame itself had clearly seen better days. Remembering I'd bought the glasses two years earlier at the Lenscrafters in UTC, I stopped at the Fashion Valley location one day after work. Within ten minutes I had a kindly (if slightly snooty) man glancing at my tattered frames with a small half smile. "Well, since you got them here, they'll be ready in about ten minutes." "Oh, how much do I owe you?" "No charge." "What?" "Yep. No charge for Lenscrafters glasses here. Let me see what I can do on these." Not only did he repair the frames with a minimum of snickering, he replaced the nose pieces as well, although he did tell me in a slightly grandfatherly tone that I should clean them more often. Paternal advice aside, I was in and out within 20 minutes, with a freely repaired pair of spectacles to boot. You freakin' rock, Lenscrafters. Now to get back to my car without walking past Dlush (shudder). read more

The shop workers are obviously simply there to make sales goals. I went in for an exam and a new pair of glasses. In addition to the eye exam I was there for, they strongly suggested two other eye exams which were additional costs. One of the additional exams was to look at my periphery vision. Say what? Anyway, I have great vision insurance but they handed me a $400 total bill after all was said and done. When we went through the bill, I saw that they had decided the "options" I needed for me. So I declined quite a few things and brought the total down substantially. I left that place feeling like I had just been at a car dealership looking to buy a new car. I will not be back there. read more

Excellent customer service. Anne was so helpful. I highly recommend Lens Crafters on the third floor at Macy's in Fashion Valley.

Came here as a walk-in and there was a little window that they fit my wife and I in. To ensure we could both be seen we filled out paperwork before hand. While we waited they were nice and on occasion chitchatted with my little kids when they got restless. They are a good team and we'll come back to them in the future. read more

Horrible wait times, waited over an hour for my scheduled appointment. Unnecessarily brought back for a contact fitting when I have had zero change in prescription for over 8 years and have been wearing the same contact lenses, did not give me enough trials to get me through delivery of my new lenses and would not supply any extra since I did not order through them. I have never had an eye doctor bring me back for a second fitting. I will never go back to them. read more

Awful experience today. My family has been going to LensCrafters for over 20 years. We have spent thousands of dollars here. Unprofessional store staff (like answering random questions yelled from other employees while I am sitting down at a desk consulting with them). Limited selection of frames (and cost of frames was not an issue with me). I had scheduled an appointment online with a particular Optometrist, whom I had seen previously. Turns out he wasn't the one I was actually scheduled to see. Can't comment on the Optometrist working today. My appointment was at 11:20 am. By 12 noon I had not yet been seen. I left the store - and will never return. read more

Horrible customer service they had me waiting for over 45 minutes. They handed me the clipboard and told me to fill it out and sit down at the waiting room. I waited and waited and ask them what's taking so long the lady said you never handed in your clipboard. I explained to her nobody told me to hand in the clipboard. The worst customer service I've ever seen! read more

Fantastic visit. They fit me in last minute and made sure I had the best visit. They were very friendly and helped me find amazing frames. Highly recommend this location. read more

Poor service. Unprofessional. Both the staff and Doctor actually mocked me for my poor eyesight. I am legally blind (-9.00Rx) Imagine someone making fun of a paraplegic for not being able to walk to a door. Or laughing at a deaf person for not hearing. They mocked me for not being able to read the tests and repeatedly showed amusement at how poor my vision was. The doctor was abrupt and was so opinionated that he did not listen to any of my complaints or concerns - rather he was too busy explaining his own point of view. The wait took forever. They had to mail my glasses to me and they do not fit at all, even after an extended fitting. I have to return to get It corrected. read more

Let me tell you, I have been going to this place for years. And Tim, has been there to help me every time. He is knowledgable, nice, professional, and makes me feel at ease. I have been going to this Lenscrafters for 3 years and have never had a stellar experience but since I only have to tolerate the experience once a year I've continued to go back. The thought of changing eye doctors was painful but after my last experience I can truthfully say it will be my last. The staff is completely unorganized and so awkward. Whatever "system" they have in place doesn't work. Once it took me over 45 minutes to pick up contacts I had already paid for and had set aside for "pickup" prior to getting to the shop. The straw that broke the camel's back was when the gentleman "helping me" was rude, abrupt and apparently lost sight of what customer service means. You know those people that get so far deep into a corporate state of mind that they forget they're actually supposed to be on your side? Aren't you in the service industry? This guy's attitude was inexcusable. Even if he couldn't help with my request, he could have at least been polite or offered a valuable solution. I left thinking about how sad his existence must be if he really felt it necessary to argue with me (who came in 8 months pregnant with my 70 year old father) over 6 contact lenses. God bless him! read more
