Love this place. Now if you are not looking for a big label brand then this place is NOT for you. It has Versace, Couch, Ray Ban, Michael Kors and many other top brands. However, upon entry you are politely greeted. You are given a tray to put your glasses in. At each station around the wall there are glasses to put the ones you try on. They disinfect them after you try them on. I witnessed a worker doing so. They don't just spray them but really wipe the glasses with disinfectant really good. When buying they don't hassle you to get the most expensive lens. They tell you each feature. They let you decide. I've been to many eyeglass stores and felt pressured, but this spot I will come back. The selection was so good. They do have discounts which I took advantage of. I will update my review with pictures when my glasses come in. Estimated time 2 weeks. It only took two days for my sons glasses to come in and not two weeks. I'm still waiting on mine. So sad. So we went in for pickup and fitting. It was much busier than the day we picked out our glasses. Not a long wait about 5 mins. My son had some issues but it was just his eyes getting adjusted to the new prescription. The optometrist came and checked and verified the prescription matched and after a while my son eyes adjusted. I only could get pictures at home because he's a teenager and "no pictures" like he's some celebrity or something. Anyway so the pictures are from me sitting on the couch with his glasses. Walked in to look for some glasses, as soon as we walked into the doors we had not been greeted but later on other customers came in with a nice greeting asked if they needed help and we still weren't spoken to even looked at the employees to see if they could help us out still was ignored we browsed around as they still greeted everyone else coming into the doors, made me feel like they were stereo typing us, left out of frustration as the employees look like they were messing around at the back. I could tell that the person assisting me was trying to get me out of the store as quickly as possible. I had glasses shipped to the store and the employee handed me the UPS box with the glasses inside the box unopened. He didn't offer to have me look at the glasses in the shop or try them on or anything as advertise in their email. He offered me a bag for the UPS box so I could leave the store as quickly as possible without looking at my glasses before leaving the store. I said no thank you I'd like to look at the glasses here. Thank you so much. As he was standing there, not saying anything waiting for me to obviously leave. I told him "you don't have to worry about me. I will look at the glasses and if I have any questions, I'll let you know". I got the feeling I was making one of his employees feel uncomfortable because of my Hebrew tattoo. They take months to get you your glasses. My wife used Eyemart Express and got TWO pairs of glasses in about two weeks. Here's were WAY more complicated than mine. Mine were computer glasses... no fancy anything just computer glasses. When they finally arrived I couldn't see because they were blurry. So I had to wait ANOTHER month and half before I got them back again. Guess what... new par... JUST as blurry as the last pair. Now I'm calling it a loss because at this point I just will not go back into that store. Save yourself... don't go here, go to Eyemart Express. read more

This store deserves a 5 stars for consistent staff rudeness (not all, but you will get stuck with an employee or manager who really bullies customer), they consistently lie about their products or lack or product knowledge , who knows if they really knows your eye/vision insurance benefits, most importantly you MUST TEVIEW your receipt total. Employees does not know the differences between manufacturers (defective workmanship, craftsmanship) and you know it was not done or made correctly. Versus a defective or poorly manufactured frame or eyewear. I strongly urge to question your receipt (you will not understand what you pay or discounts given to you), always ask if you need a refund what exactly you'll receive. MOST IMPORTANTLY, during your checkout if you request NOT to give a donation make very certain that NO DONATION IS GIVEN as shown on the recipient. NO TURNING BACK. Dont do business with Lenscrafters, oakley or luxottica (The parent company) If you expect an 800 dollar pair of prescription sunglasses to last more than 2 years... even when you take perfect care of them and the lens has a material defect that causes the layers to separate. They will not make an exception to replace a lens that costs them less than 50 dollars to make and would rather lose a customer. The women there are extremely unhelpful if you have an issue. Their product knowledge is abysmal... I initially had problems getting lenses that I could see well out of.... After trying to get them corrected 2 or 3 times one of the women said that she cant help me and ask me what I expected her to do. I said .. to sell me a pair of glasses that I can see out of properly. Eventually I talked to one of the guys in the back who got me sorted. I have bought a quite a few pairs from them. I have 5 pairs of prescription oakley glasses .. some of them were more than 800 dollars. I have had a pair for 2 years and take spectacular care of them. My most expensive pair the lenses are delaminating in the corner. There are no scratches anywhere on the lens. The lenses have never been taken out of the frames and I havent used any chemicals on them. There are absolutely no scratches on either side of the lenses. Multiple sites touted these glasses as lasting a lifetime. I have been a loyal customer and spent a considerable amount of money on these glasses. I have been very happy with them and not had any issues. I would like to remain a customer but no one seems to want to make an exception for a material defect. Was told my glasses would be ready in 2 weeks or less, I stressed that that was very important as I was about to leave on a 2 week tripped that consisted of hundreds of miles of driving a day. Two weeks and 3 days later my glasses still hadn't arrived, I called and they said they put a rush on them and they would arrive 2 days later, the day before I was leaving for my trip. I called the day I was leaving and they said they still hadn't received them. An additional 2 weeks later after returning from my trip, I called and they said they still hadn't arrived, then an hour later I got a text telling me they were ready for pick up. It took 1 month and 1 day for me to receive my 2 week glasses. I received no updates along the way and had to call weekly to make sure I was still getting glasses. read more

I went to LensCrafters in Round Rock, Texas to pick up a new pair of glasses. When I arrived, I was told that I could not get the new pair until I had returned the old pair of glasses that needed to be repaired. I told them that I wasn't aware of this policy, which is part of their insurance. The young lady who waited on me kept quoting policy to me. I told her it wasn't the policy that I was upset about; it was just that I wasn't informed of this policy. Even when I was contacted that my glasses were ready for pick up, there was no mention of them telling me to bring the old pair. I don't mind, I just would have liked to be informed. I now had to go home in Belton, TX 45 minutes away and come back. She then got the manager, and he quoted the same policy. He then apologized matter-factly and then turned to help another customer. I was left standing there. I have been going to LensCrafters for years and have never been treated so disrespectfully. Not one time did they say, "Let me check who waited on you so we can make sure that this will never happen again." I will pick up my glasses, but I am finished with this organization. Oh, I did call the Waco office to confirm this policy and the person that I spoke to was so polite, patient, and knowledgeable. I so got their warranty what a joke, I sent my glass in for repair on Dec. 29, and after 4 weeks they still do not know when my glasses will be sent back. Just got done speaking to the Corporate call center and they cannot assist when an item is purchased in the store When you call 1-877-753-6727 they're prompted to select 2 for in-store purchases and the customer service agent informs you they cannot assist for instore purchases. I've been to the Round Rock store to buy in person and I've called the store to help service an order online/over the phone. Great both times. But this last time, with Amy, I found the care, intelligence and service to be exceptional. Really gives me confidence that I've ordered exactly what I want/need, and that's not easy when dealing over the phone talking through abstract options or measurements etc. She was extremely thoughtful, thorough and patient. Looked up insurance coverage multiple ways to ensure I got the best deal. I've had a wonderful experience with the quality of the glasses I bought in person and look forward to getting these. Absolutely horrific service. They tried to get me to accept a broken pair of glasses (one of the hinges was not glued into the frame and was falling out). I would like to mention that they were handed to me broken, I did not break them. Then after a great deal of arguing, they agreed to give me a replacement pair, but they did not want to adjust them "in case this pair broke too". I find it hard to believe a glasses place would not be able to adjust the glasses they sell. I was exceedingly polite, but the staff treated me very badly. I was made to feel very bad for noticing that the glasses they were giving me were broken, and that it was a huge imposition on their part to give me a working pair. If I was not extremely persistent and firm I would have left with a broken pair of glasses. For $700 a pair I would go somewhere else. read more

Brought newly purchased frames in to get lenses and didn't hear back for weeks, so I called and they let me know there was an "issue" and they weren't back yet. Still heard nothing weeks later, so again, I call them and the guy says, "Oh, these came in earlier." Soooo I go the next day to pick them up (it's a month since ordered by now) and the prescription was apparently placed in the wrong area of the lens on one side so it was extremely thick and distorted. The woman who was at the front counter that day was not helpful, unfriendly, and I felt like I had to fight for her to believe that something was wrong when she should clearly take the word from the customer that they cannot see out of the glasses they just spent like $300 for...(?) They send the lenses back, again, I don't hear from them for weeks, so I call them only to be told the lab BROKED THE FRAMES... No call. No apologies. Nothing. I'm told if I want a refund I need to come into the store. Worst experience I've ever had with a glasses company. DO NOT GO HERE PEOPLE. I've had a good experience. I'm glad I didn't base it off the reviews. I decided to window shop here and found the frames I wanted. however I did call within days of ordering and they told me a date they should be in by. They are a high volume store but do try to get you through the process fairly quick. I didn't receive a text from the company as some others had mentioned, but I didn't expect to with these damn automated pos systems anyhow. I called the day they told me, and they were there. It was 10 days after the order. I went to pick them up, they were hella busy. But they got to me in fairly reasonable timing. They fit them in front of me. Not only did he not offer anything, nor honor my request to run it up the chain to someone who did have the authority, no, Tim politely, very very politely, you know in that kind of patronizing way of being polite that you feel... well never mind my feelings lets stick to the facts. Undeterred I asked for an email to send in my prescription, he let me know, again politely, ever so politely, helped me understand that they didn't have a publicly available email. I frankly got the impression he didn't want my business. To be fair, we just had a week long freeze; maybe he's stressed. But Tim told me point blank that he would not pass along my request for customer satisfaction because he made the decision that my expectation was unreasonable. He actually said this. Well hold on Tim, then if you have been granted to make decisions affecting your companies business logic, then you should be able to grant my request for some discounted eye wear, or if not to pass it up the chain right? But no, he flatly rejected either helping or passing me along to someone who could help, and then had the nerve to suggest words in the dictionary that I could look up so that I could better understand why he was clearly right and I was clearly wrong. I spent "FOUR-HUNDRED and EIGHTY DOLLARS" With transitions, exam, and a pair of SUPPOSEDLY, almost unbreakable glasses.. I thought I was set; I thought to myself, " you get what you pay for." Right? The first day on the job they quickly fell off my face and as I turned I heard a crunch... yes I had stepped on them! I kept thinking to myself, "I didn't put half my weight on them before," I pulled up my feet." "They should be fine they're ALMOST UNBREAKABLE,"Right? Well, I was surprised to see that they broke easily, they slipped off my face easily, and I couldn't repair them until I went back to a town with an open lens crafters. Long story short ... they've heard my story, written me back and said that they would correct the problem... But even with all the hoops they had me jump through...... still nothing... weeks later after they told me they'd call and resolve the issue. They have a lot of great deals and promo sent by mail and i thought i will be able to get a great price but eventually it is still pricey. Another thing is i went there to ask for a copy of my old prescription as i need my pupillary dimension measurement and they will not give to me. She tacked on every thing to get the price up and never asked or tried to lower the cost by taking off transition that I did not ask for or any other add on. The lens was popping out of my Persol sunglasses that I purchased at Sunglasa Hut, so I popped in this location to see if they could help me out. I was assisted immediately, and the did a great job of improving the fit of my lens. I asked if I could pay them for the help, but they said it was on the house. I buy new eye glasses every year, and I have a complex prescription to fill, requiring the help of the store and their lab to get everything right. This particular Lens Crafters has been great. Previously I worked with Alice, who is now retired, and now with Terri. Excellent customer service by them and the lab specialists. I just didn't feel I got very personal attention for the big dollar price. After about a 35 - 45 minute wait in which I noticed others getting very individual attention. However, when a young man came on duty and called me, it was like he was in a big hurry. I was not impressed. This was my first time here. I purchased glasses that came out to a total of $488.00 I was told they could make them in 2 hours. I was so excited and really looking forward to wearing them. 2.5 hours later I was notified by text that they were ready to be picked up. I live less than 5 mins away, so I quickly got in my car and drove over there, only to find that they had closed unexpectedly for the day due to rain. I'm not going to lie, I was very apprehensive about going to this location for my eyewear. With the other stores in the area not being able to fill my rx I had no choice but to stop in at this one.... Well I was blown away with the advice I got. The two employees working in the front were so incredibly nice and helpful. The assistant manager is the one who helped me with my glasses and she was no knowledgeable and patient with me. Put my order in and told me to give them about 2 hours (I'm super blind lol) Came back a little before the 2 hour mark and again was meet by the nicest employee, this time I believe was the lab manager. The guy who assisted me acted like he would have rather been anywhere else in the world. When I told him about a special request from the eye doctor (to make sure the base curve of the new lenses matched the base curve of my current lenses), he was very condescending and brushed it off. When I picked the glasses up, I immediately knew something was wrong but was told to try them out because my eyes needed to adjust. I waited about 2 days and nothing improved. I called them and asked them to verify the presciption because something was not right, and again was told I just needed to wear them and let me eyes adjust. The next day I decided to go to a different lense carfters location and explained my concerns. The associate took my current glasses and my new glasses to test them, and low and behold the new glasses did not have the correct base curve (which I mentioned to the associate at the first store), so they had to create another pair of lenses. The woman at the second location was very nice and seemed eager to help. I really appreciated her! Unforunately, because of this overall experience, I will not be using lense crafters in the future. read more
