I went to Lenscrafters in Greece Ridge Mall on a Friday afternoon. They weren't busy and I was helped right away. The young man that helped me was great! Listened to what I wanted and pointed me in the right direction for frames. There was only one person "making" lenses so he said it would be more than an hour wait. I didn't mind as I wasn't in any hurry. I did get a text when the glasses were ready for pick up - only took about 2.5 hours. It still wasn't busy when I went to pick them up so I was in and out in 10 minutes. Good selection of frames and great service. read more

This is our third time going in and purchasing glasses over the last 6 or 7 years. This was the first time we have had to wait an extended amount of time to have someone help us. In the past within 10 minutes we were helped. When my wife and I were finally helped a very nice young man named Sean Migilore worked with us to pick out and fit us for glasses. He was very attentive to details and unafraid to give his opinions on the style. We never felt rushed and both of us walked out having ordered a pair that we felt we would be to our liking. The store is not closed, the number to use is (585)227-6771. You need to call to make an appointment, pick up, and they checked my temperature at the door. The mall access doors are closed and they had to let me in for everything. I'm only writing this review because the number is wrong and their phone number has changed. The old voicemail says closed as of may 15th. Not true. read more

I got a fantastic deal on a pair of transition single vision glasses, just over $100 with frames. Unfortunately they made my head spin when I wore them. They redid the lenses and the effect was reduced but still there. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them. Almost a year later I called them to see what they could do for me. their special deal was to replace them for $350. This was a "sale". I would not trust their lab, promotions or even their management. read more

Pretty disappointed. I had an issue with my glasses. I wanted to see if they could fix them. O didn't miknd paying for the part since they are all those frames. With out the warranty you are SOL. I spent alot of money on these glasses and pretty much they told me to throw them out. I wasn't impressed at all and I more then likely won't return. I would rather go someplace else who had frames alot alot cheaper. read more

The personalized service I received from the store manager, Todd, was/is exceptional. He took the time to understand my needs and preferences. He was extremely helpful in helping me find just the right look coupled with optimum performance that I, for one, value highly. My girlfriend goes here. They are sooooo rude to her. I watch her get attitude from their employees every time she goes. I've told her to stop going there but fortunately for lenscrafters, she still does for only god knows why. Today she called them to compare prices and the employees once again gave her so much attitude when she asked simple questions. These people are absolutely disgustingly rude. I don't know how they keep business, they sure as hell have to be chasing customers away. In person they are disgustingly mean. Over the phone they are just as disgustingly mean. This center is either desperate for employees or take pride in their "Screw the customer" attitudes. read more

I'm not one to go to chain stores for glasses, but I'm newer in the area so I didn't have much to go on. This place is the worst. First off, for as many people as they have working there, they shuffle from one person to the next, seems very inefficient to me. When I finally got in for my eye exam, it seemed hurried and I always felt like they were trying to sell me something. While I was waiting to for my pupils to dilate for test they felt I needed, I looked at glasses. The lady who I'm guessing is just there to sell frames was very strange acting, she was very cold and seemed to eye me like I was going to run out with frames. She also hovered and asked if we needed help every few minutes. What I thought was super funny was she was only suggesting frames from the locked shelves that were super expensive. I got a very slimy saleswoman vibe from her. So when I went to buy the frames, I wasn't really given any choices as to what I wanted for lenses, I usually don't get the fancy light weight lenses or any of that. I was only asked if I wanted the anti-glare coating (which I elected to get) and if I wanted that protection plan. So when all was said and done I had spent $360+ for frames and lenses. That was not including my rushed eye exam. So I went to get them the next day, and something was not right, I had told them they seemed weird, and he told me that they were made with a different base curve and that I should give them a few days to get used to them. So I waited a few days and I was still not happy with my glasses. My sight was blurry when I looked down and to the sides and my eyes would take a moment to focus every time I looked in another direction, and it also seemed like my long-distance vision was worse. They were actually making my eyes strained and tired. So I took them back and told them the issues I was having. And when I said I told them the issues I meant I had to tell three different people my problems because I kept getting put here or there. And I waited... So they looked at them and decided it was probably the base curve that was messing me up. They also don't record any notes anywhere, so I got a different opinion from each of the optometrists" and had to explain what's going on time after time. So I picked them up yet again, and they still weren't right. I'd also like to mention that it wasn't just the frame saleswoman who looks at me accusingly, the opticians did too, I felt like they didn't believe that I had a valid concern and I was just being difficult. Now, I've worn glasses since the 4th grade, and I'm 26 now, I know what feels right. So I left them again, they were going to try regular lenses instead of the featherweight ones that I was never asked if I wanted in the first place, which upset me too. I will note too that I was never asked if I wanted another eye exam, I guess optometrists don't make mistakes. So later that day I had had a voice mail saying that with the lenses I was putting in my glasses, I would get some money back, I just needed to call back. So I called back the next day and asked about my refund, and he put me on hold. Then someone else picked up, so then I had to tell him why I was calling. He then told me I was getting the refund for cancelling the protection plan and not the lenses. I was like so annoyed at that point I said forget it, so having been there three times already, I decided to just get a refund. He gave me the money for my glasses over the phone, when I asked about getting a refund for the eye exam I'd have to get redone anyway, he snottily told me I'd need to return the prescription for that, I said fine, and he disconnected very abruptly. Overall, It just seems like they were way too busy and had a weird, inefficient way of handling customers. Luckily, I only live a short drive away from the place, or I'd be asking for gas money, not to mention the time I had wasted there. Ugh. Never again. read more

I went to LensCrafters to get changed over from glasses to contacts. Before going I called to make a appointment for that day. When I arrive the staff was frustrated and claimed my appointment wasn't till tomorrow though I had specifically told them I had to come in that day since I would be leaving town with my family the next day. After this they continued to force me to watch a contact lens training video after telling me I wouldn't even be able to start that training that day. To follow this they had me go through all the pretesting even after telling them my eye conditions. Once my testing was down they made me redo part of it. I've been getting my eyes tested and checked for 10 years if not once but twice a year and have never been told how I did the test was a issue. On top which they wanted to charge me a extra $40 for a test so they didn't have to dilate my eyes. After getting treated rudely the lady began to look at my prescription finally to start to adjust it and kept making it blurrier and blurrier. She continued to get frustrated that I couldn't see out of her lens she had set up. Then continued on to tell me after wasting my time for forty minutes how she couldn't get me contacts because of the condition that I had told them about to begin with. Of all the experiences I've had getting glasses, I've never felt so frustrated and upset after leaving somewhere between how I was treated and the time I wasted there. read more

Went to Lens Crafters today at the mall to shop for new eye glasses. The sales person, who said she had been there for 30 years, was less than personable to start with. If she smiled, I think her face would have cracked! She gave me a price of over$450.00 with my insurance discount! She kept coming back to the anti- reflective coating that "I always strongly recommend", for added cost of course, and then tried to talk me out of Transition Lenses, which I have worn for years, so I could " get a deal" on sun glasses! I am guessing that she works on commission. I would not go to, nor would I recommend Lens Crafters to any one! read more
