I had to drop off my glasses for them to simply pop the old lenses out and new ones in and waited longer than an hour. I've gone to them for the past two years and I won't be going back to them again. This past time they swapped my lenses. So I had to go the weekend without my glasses. I went back to the store for them to order new lenses and they wanted me to pay $40 to have them to be expedited. Expedited would've gotten me my lenses the next day or I will have to wait a week to two weeks again for my lenses.... read more

I got glasses here a while back after having an eye exam somewhere else. They were finished within a week or so as promised, and someone called to let me know they were ready. When I went in to pick them up, I had to stand around waiting for 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. And when I said I just wanted to pick up my glasses, they told me I'd have to wait to be helped by an associate, I couldn't just grab them and go. Fast forward a few days, and my glasses are leaving a dent in my nose if I wear them for more than 10 minutes before putting in my contacts. I've tried going in twice at different times of the day, and I've been faced with the same thing I was when I went to pick up my glasses--lots of standing around waiting for someone to help me, and then an even longer wait to get helped. The waits have been so long that I've just chosen to leave each time, and I haven't been able to bring myself to go back. I feel like this location may be understaffed. Perhaps calling first to confirm availability or even making an appointment might be the way to go here. read more

For years I've given lenscrafters the benefit of the doubt. Multiple times... but they are consistently slow, and their people are only sometimes friendly. I feel like I'm bothering them when I walk in their door. One problem recently, around the Christmas holidays, was after getting the eye exam and picking out frames and spending oodles of money they could not complete my order in "about an hour" due to the lenses and special coating. They said they would call me when it was ready in about 7 days. So then 7, 8, and 9 days go by and I call them. Aren't my glasses ready? They said it's been ready for several days. What? Several days? Well ... they sent a text message after 4 days. I received no text. Text messages stay on my phone. I confirmed that they had my updated phone number just to be sure that wasn't the problem. If this was the first time something like this happened then I wouldn't mention it. I would highly recommend booking an appointment with her. She also suggested different lens options and contact lens options for me. The staff at this store were very friendly and welcoming. They helped pick the best frames for me and gave me several lens options. They carry designer frames as well as ray ban and Oakley. The have frame and lens options for everyone's budget and I felt the staff truly recommended the options that were best for me. They also carry accessories for cleaning glasses! Came in with my elderly mother who had unfortunately bent her glasses horribly during her travel on the plane from Europe. We asked if someone might help her attempt to straighten them. We waited just a short while. They were busy but made time for my mom. A few bends and some new nose clips, a cleaning of the lenses and she was good as new. So appreciative of the service. Do NOT go to the LensCrafters at Hamilton Town Center. I don't usually blast bad experiences but this was the worst experience! When my husband and I first walked in, we were greeted with an eye roll from the Employee when we told her we were looking for prescriptions sunglasses. But I thought maybe she was having a bad day and we were going to do what we could do to try to help make her day better. Two hours later we finally had ordered our sunglasses. She obviously didn't know what she was doing. it took two weeks for his to come in and they were wrong and the whole entire frame was twisted. They offered to order another pair. Then came in a week later. And mine still were not in. I went in to pick up his and asked about mine. They said mine still haven't shipped. So I left with his. Literally when I got home they texted that mine were ready to be picked up. So I go today to pick them up... And they don't even have tint in them. How do you order sunglasses with no tent? I'm done! Your whole job is to sell glasses and sunglasses. And you screwed up both. Ugh! Just don't waste your time with this store!! read more

The fastest and most helpful saleswoman, I believe her name was Jay helped me. she was very friendly and polite she took her time explaining my different options and prices. First off, this is a very convenient location in Hamilton Town Center so if you're running in a pack, your family can go grab a tea at McAlister's Deli or go shopping at any of the stores in the mall while you handle your peeper business. Dr. Walden and her staff are fantastic. They are all very friendly and did a great job with all of their fancy eye gizmos and gadgets to determine how blind I was. Seriously though, I've had eye exams elsewhere over the last several years and don't recall doing half the things they put me through. I e been going to LensCrafters at Castleton mall for at least 20 years. Figured we'd start going to the newer one closer to our house but what a mistake. These people are clueless. They can't seem to do a family of 4. They are making us all do all the paperwork, insurance, etc separately. As if that hasn't already drug everything out now to order contacts and glasses we're doing those all individually running the insurance and everything again. I have been a customer with Len's Crafters for over 15 years. I had been having a good experience with them until I came across this store. I ordered several pairs of glasses here. When the glasses arrived they did not take time to adjust them without me requesting them to do so.They were inexperienced, and scratched the frame on a pair while attempting to adjust them. They said they would reorder the glasses free of charge. The second pair of glasses I ordered broke within two days. The full lense fell out. They refused to replace the glasses and were very rude about it. I will not recommend getting any products from this Lens Crafters! read more

I had bought two glass from LensCrafters and within a week my Ray-bans fell out of the hinge and they gave me such big issues and when I talked to the manger they said no problem we can just place the order for them and I was able to swap the pairs out and Come to find out they did not put the same polarized lens in just some PLASTIC TINTED ONES! So I went into the store sometime later after getting the replaced with the right kind and the GM said I would have to pay out of pocket even though I have insurance! I'm so upset with these people that I already bought glass through are making me pay for their mistakes! I will never buy a pair of glasses through them again! I'm an beyond upset and can't believe the they are not able to fix their own mistakes!!!!!they said it would be $427.99 for a replacement even thought they are not damage in any way and that I when insurance! Just when I think you can trust a known name in optometry, I find out that I definitely can't. I was just examined for LASIK because of the discomfort of contacts and headaches I get from my glasses. The LASIK office tested my glasses (which I purchased from this location) and found that the prescriptions filled weren't even correct from what I was told they were. In fact, they were very far off. A severe astigmatism in both eyes (which I've never had) and the lens in my right eye was -.50 instead of -1.50. A true reflection on their customer service though is when I called to see if they were willing to fix this mistake they made; their suggestion was that I come in to buy new lenses. I only have to wear my glasses for a week before LASIK! Why would I purchase brand new lenses? I've been to two other LensCrafters and never had such problems. The Dr knows what she's doing, but the office staff is unfriendly, frequently loses appointments "in the computer" and then tries to blame the customers for their ineptness. They also didn't help me or my wife choose our glasses, and mishandled a contact prescription that ended up taking six months to come in. I can't stress enough how generally unfriendly the women working with the phones and computers were to my wife and I on repeated occasions over the course of multiple appointments in the last few years. read more

What's happened to this LensCraftes. It's been about 3 years since I have been here, and scheduled an eye exam. I received a phone call and email reminding me of my appointment. I got there a few minutes early, there was a huge line. When I checked in, I was told the doctor would be right with me; 20 minutes later, I asked how much longer, and then I found out the appointments were running 40 minutes late. No one bothered to mention this. Meanwhile, the line was longer, employees couldn't find glasses/contacts that people had come in to pick up. And, since I was there for so long, used the restroom, and that should have been evidence enough it was worse than a gas station restroom. Absolutely filthy. My first two visits in this store was excellent. However, my most recent was not very pleasing. I did not feel like I was given the proper customer service. I visited the store the second time to replace my broken frame. The frame that I had was not currently in stock so Jessica called another store. The next day, I called back and told her that I will pay extra to get a different frame. And I did. Two days later, the new frame was available and I picked it up, tried it and it seemed alright with fitting. Two days later, I came back to have the fit adjusted, and this is where I felt very disappointed. The person assisting me (Samantha) made me feel like I was being a burden to her. She negated what I thought would be the best feel of the glasses on my face. When I asked what her name was, she changed tone and tried to ease up the tension. I believe that she noticed my dissatisfaction with her. Also the new frame that I got was $20 cheaper than my original one. When I looked at my receipt, they charged me a miscellaneous repair so that they do not have to give me refund. read more
