Love LensCrafters. Have been getting my glasses here for years. You get great discounts if you are a AAA member - like 50% off glasses and lenses when you are a AAA member. Makes the AAA membership price worth it. The sales staff is also good at combining discounts - your health insurance, AAA, any coupons you received in the mail. This year I used their in-house eye doctor. I was able to get an appointment with In a week. Excellent experience. They had a non-invasive way to photograph the eye, so they didn't have to put that green jello in and dilate my eyes. I will continue to use the in house eye doctor for my annual exam. read more

My husband had an eye exam which was scheduled. For some reason the people that schedule the exam tried to say he did not have appointment. I think it was because he is an older black man. When I went into question, they found the appointment. He was fitted for glasses, but the receipt was emailed to the wrong address. Told me they could not resend it. They had to mail it or I had to come in to get a printed copy. That is very shady to me. Extremely disappointed in their poor customer service. read more

So, my wife and I bought our 6 year old way overpriced Ray Bans last January. We also bought the protection plan. Whenever you buy glasses in LensCrafters it's a lot of tablets, talking and sign this, sign that. I did not think to check if our optician actually put in the correct pair of glasses. Today I went in to use the protection plan because our son had a deep scratch on his glasses. I was told my protection plan was active but it listed my glasses purchased as Oakleys!! It was put in wrong, either intentionally so I can't use the protection plan or it was simply a very dumb mistake by the optician. Either way, it's ridiculous. Stay away from this place at all costs. Go to glassesusa.com or another place online for much cheaper and better service. read more

Tell me 90 minutes and when I return in 120 tell me another 45. Make me waste all day at the shopping the neighborhood while the other half needs me at home packing for our trip. Had I been able to pick up my glasses on time...I would not have scrutinized the receipt and the $110 charge for AR or the 380 for standard transitions lenses. Had they been done in 90 minutes....I wouldn't be going in tomorrow to cancel the order. After I got home 3 hours and 11 minutes after order placed I got the text telling me the glasses were done... 3 minutes after the store was closed for the day. The optician is great, although nobody wants to hear," those frames are too small for your head" when you think you look great. Such is the burden of people with pumpkin sized heads like myself and my brothers. The choices for frames is crazy with RayBan, Costa Del Mar, Oakley, and others that I have not heard of (my daughter was, "what! You've never heard of ...??) Apparently I'm no longer cool. The glasses fit well and I can see again without squinting. They also have an attached area where you can schedule eye exams(in the Rt 9 store, not in the mall), I don't think it's directly affiliated with LensCrafters but it's handy if you don't have a regular ophthalmologist. I didn't give it 5 stars as I had an issue picking up my new glasses and attempting to drop off for lens replacement some prescription sunglasses when the main optician wasn't on site. He has to verify that the new glasses are correct and I thought I should just be able to pick them up when I get the message that they're ready. ( certainly could've been my bad for not checking) All in all it's great and where I've been getting my glasses for years. read more

Have been buying my glasses from Lenscrafters for 30 years. It used to be super convenient, but not anymore. Now you can expect to wait "about a week". I received a text message in four days that mine were ready, but when I went to pick them up the next day, my the order was incomplete. I received another text message and a phone call later the same day that assured me my whole order was ready. Went again the next day - now my third trip to the store- to pick them up. After a 10 minute wait I was helped and left with my new glasses. Nobody wants to pay a premium price for average service. I understand the industry is changing, but it's too bad. I won't fill a prescription there again, it's too inconvenient. read more

I went there this past Wednesday Because My frames I broke my frames and was looking for a new one. The Minute I walked in I was approached by a man who basically said " We don't carry these types of frames" I said I know I'm looking for a new one that these lenses would fit in. He just said we can't help you. I asked him you don't have any frames that would fit these lenses? Great advertised discounts and wide insurance acceptance BUT customers cannot use their approved insurance if they also want to take advantage of any of those advertised discounts. When you are ready to purchase they bring out tablet showing LensCrafter's retail prices less advertises discounts on one side, and their retail prices less your insurance on the other. I wanted to take a moment to say that this LensCrafters went above and beyond expectations today. My son is in high school and at his appointment today we learned that his prescription had changed dramatically -- the doctor basically said to donate his old glasses because they were doing practically nothing to help his vision. We ordered new glasses at 5:30pm, with the promise of getting them in the morning. But at 6:15 we got a text message saying his glasses were ready. We turned around and headed back, and here he is at 7:20pm wearing his new prescription. That's a day of school when he won't miss information we weren't expecting to have. read more

Just dropped more than I care to admit having the lenses in 3 frames (which I bought here) updated with my new rx. I'm fairly sure the cost was more than I originally paid. You'd think the woman at the front desk would be more polite and nicer to customers----especially when they're dropping several hundred dollars. If there was a zero star, I would have given that. Unfriendly staff and unfair practices. These guys are cheating customers in the name of COVID! Withholding information and disclosures regarding insurance coverage prior to any test is not a fair practice but they do. All eye checkups usually run your insurance, take the copay and then do the tests. These guys will run all possible tests and then try to bill you full amount telling that your insurance is not covering anything. Be sure to protest it and then only they will magically find your insurance details. Also they will tell you that retinal imaging is mandatory in COVID. Do note that there is no relation between retinal imaging and COVID. Avoid this place at any cost. read more

I will start by saying I have 2 kids with glasses, my daughter has been needing to change scripts x2 a year due to a progressive issue she has. So needless to say I have spent hundreds of dollars (if not well over $1000) after a few years. Well this past year I was looking for a pair of prescription goggles for my daughter (sports) and I was calling to see that they had the color I wanted. The woman who answered the phone said "I don't know". So I asked if she could check, to which she replied "I'm too busy". I will never go back, even though I liked the selection and most of the time had mediocre customer service, I never tolerate that kind of treatment. Vision works it is from now on!! read more

I purchase Giorgio Armani eyeglasses for over $600 from 1364 Worcester Street, Natick, MA, at LensCrafter on Dec 12, 2017. I return to Len-crafter today because my frame was broken( my fault). I was told that my warranty was only for 30 days and I needed to purchase extended warranty for $39 when I purchase my glasses back in Dec. I said I'm willing to pay for new frame for $100. They said that they don't carry the frame anymore so i will have to purchase new set of glasses. I would NOT recommend anyone to purchase eyeglasses from THIS STORE, I'm out $600 and wanted me purchase another set here. I would have appreciate if the manager have me purchase a new frame, since I broke it and they purchase lens for the frame, since they don't have the frame in stock. Very disappointed read more

I bought eyeglasses at LensCrafters in Natick on Route 9 two years ago. When I had an exam with my ophthalmologist recently the optometrist checked my glasses. Turns out that Lenscrafters got my prescription wrong and that is why I am not seeing so well. I thought it was because I am getting old and that's as good as my vision can get. But, no, my eyes have not changed. Lenscrafters gave me +1 for readers instead of +2 as written on my prescription. When I called LensCrafters and told them of their mistake, they said it was 2 years ago, and that is too long ago, and they won't fix their error. I am never going to LensCrafters again!! Our family went there a number of times over a five year period; no complaints YET we never needed help for anything other than the usual picking out frames, buying, ie) spending money.....LOTS of money. When I went there with frames I had bought there to have them repaired, their customer service was ZERO. Did they have replacement frames?? NO....Could they order frames for them...NO discontinued. (I believe a lot of frames they use are discontinued as soon as you buy them.) Could I find a pair of frames FOR the lenses?? NO.....none will fit. It seems like the so called technicians can really do nothing at all to help. I spent 700 for frames/lenses and THAT was the NON service I received. Pretty pitiful!! My existing rimless frame broke, went to this LensCrafters ready to spend $200-300 to buy a new frame. I wanted to keep my existing lenses. To the GREED of the in store rep, he told me, there is no way to install a new frame to my existing lenses, I had to buy new ones. Well...I did a little research, spent $30 bucks on Amazon for a new rimless frame, 3 days later, with the help of my pliers, I got a perfectly new frame with my lenses installed. My glasses had to be re-ordered TWICE. The first time, staff member there told me that the lens came out tinted. The second time, I went into the store to pick them up expecting to walk away pleased. The retail representative cleaned the lenses to my new pair, but they didn't look clean, so she cleaned them again. As I drove away from this store with the new glasses, I noticed that I was not able to see properly. I pulled over, cleaned these again, compared my vision with my previous now "back up" lenses, took a closer look at my new lenses, and to my shock, realized that there were scratches on the new lenses! I immediately returned to the store and spoke with the lab manager, who took a closer look at the lenses. He confirmed that both of these new lenses were damaged, and needed to be replaced. First of all, I absolutely LOVE my new glasses and I never would have found them had I not received such impeccable customer service from Charles. He came right over to me and suggested a whole bunch of options he felt would look good on my face and he was right EVERY SINGLE time. He was considerate of my budget and was never pushy. He took the time to take 4 photos of me to help me decide which ones I liked the most. I paid for my glasses - and was in and out of there in an hour. I loved that I could pick up my new glasses in under 2 hrs from the time I left. Everyone there was super nice. But Charles went above and beyond. The people staffing Optometrist reception desk have awful people skills. I thought so for years but yesterday took the cake. Years back I arrived for my eye exam and was asked to call my insurance company as there was a problem. It took a while to work out the issue but there was NO problem, my eye exams are covered every two years, not each year. As I need a yearly checkup for contacts. I told them I would be happy to pay out of pocket - they responded that I missed my appointment due to the call and would have to come back. - If they had just explained the situation clearly in the first place there would have not been an issue! - If they told me I was going to miss my exam I would have hung up the phone! I expected at least an apologetic tone (maybe a "sorry for the miscommunication") and explained to them this was a bit outrageous - but they held firm - stone cold). They have been cold at every visit over the years. I told myself they were efficient, but I dreaded the interaction each year. Yesterday was the last straw. I called to set up an appointment and the person on the phone was just awful. Every question was asked w/ such disdain in her voice I actually gasped twice (audibly) in shock before answering her. I thought the tone of my (shocked) responses would wake her up a bit to her actions, but it just kept going like that. Finally I just said that I did not want the appointment anymore and told her the reason was that she was not very nice. We were at lens crafters in natick and there was a man talking about his colonoscopy and other medical conditions. He said he was talking to his Dr but clearly he was talking to a friend. My husband confronted him and asked him to step outside if he was going to have this conversation the man didn't seem to think there was anything wrong having that conversation in public. You could tell The poor woman that was waiting on him didn't know what to do. She was the only one waiting on customers as we were sitting there to be waited on. Because of the tiff between my husband and the rude man the manager came over and asked if there was a problem. Bill explained what happened and she told us we had to wait our turn. Needless to say we turned around and walked out. This was at lens crafters in Natick. I have had no probLem with other stores but would never go back to this one. read more

This one outside of the Mall stepped up and repaired prematurely worn earpieces on my Ray-Ban prescription sunglasses when the Mall location would not. Went in today to buy some sunglasses, and a trainee and the TWO sales associates babysitting her told me my email offer (without even looking at it) didn't apply to the pair I was trying to buy. My only negative review on this location is that they are always under staffed. It takes a considerable amount of time to be helped, both when selections and picking up. I just returned from a flawless--and I mean FLAWLESS--experience at this place. Walked in on a mobbed Sunday afternoon with a broken pair of three-year old Rx glasses. They fixed them on-the-spot no-questions-asked. NO upsell. Nothing but spit-spot on-the-ball service. I was so impressed, I decided to get a second pair, which required an eye exam...which they also slotted me in for right then and there. The eye doctor on duty could not have been more professional, more patient, more thorough. I was informed that my prescription had not changed at all over three years (so no attempt to sucker me into a new pair with a very slight tweak to my old prescription). Nevertheless, it was time for a refresh. One of the salespeople there immediately helped me find the perfect frame for my face. Within an hour, the lab had produced three-way progressive lenses for the frames, and I walked out with the best pair of eyeglasses I've ever had. Perfect. read more

Considering past review, these folks look like they've started to take customer service seriously. I came in the day after I got a new pair of glass for an adjustment. and got there 5 minutes before closing. The staff were extremely helpful, courteous and friendly. After they finished the adjustment they worked with me to answer questions about another pair I was considering. They pooh-poohed me when I suggested that I come back later, and when I was done, it was a half hour after closing. I've never written a review on Yelp before, and signed up specifically so I could praise the extraordinary people there. read more

First of all it's all name brand high end glasses which is fine i would gladly drop a lot of money for my vision, Todd was very very rude he explained to me my eye exam was expired i asked why and he said "i don't know cause your doctor said so" like uh okay so i then asked if I could get an eye exam there and he said NO. literally nothing else just no. then my mom asked literally the same question he said "i don't know what they do over there go ask" like not even nice about it i'm sorry that my eye exam expired and you feel you no longer need to help me. Then he goes "take a picture of the glasses if you still want them" LOL oh Todd you're funny Regardless i went to target to get an eye exam and also got a pair of glasses and sunglasses for half the price of just glasses at lenscrafters.
