Very disappointed!!!!!!! If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Beware of this location inside the Vintage Fair mall!
I stopped in here for my yearly eye exam, which includes contact lenses. Dr. Lee did not recommend dilating my eyes on the first visit because I did not have glasses to wear. He does not think it's a good idea to wear contacts after being dilated so he would need to reschedule me for another visit (just for the dilation). This would be another 40 minute drive and another day wasted; I work M-F and preferred to get it all done in one day. But hey, I understand. I'd rather be safe than sorry when it comes to my eyes. We scheduled a second appointment just for dilation.
My next appointment is two week away, scheduled for 1:00pm. I show up at 1:00pm exactly and stand around for a minute. No one looks up or even greets you. I finally approach a young lady and tell her I'm here for my appointment and she takes my name, "checks me in" and then tells me to take a seat. I wait 45 minutes! It's almost 2:00pm. Dr. Lee is off today, they tell me, so it's going to be Dr. Frisbee (spelling?). I see him come out and he calls a young boy into the patient room. The boy arrived 20 minutes AFTER me AND without an appointment. What's the point of making an appointment if you're going to wait 45 minutes and have other "walk-ins" be helped before you? My husband and I continue waiting, but we tell ourselves that if we do not get helped by 2:00pm, we are leaving. But the problem is, I already paid the $80 for my contact lenses appointment and without the dilation, they won't give me a prescription. So I'm pretty much screwed and need to wait. Luckily, they finally called me in.
The doctor told me I could have done the dilation on the same day as my other appointment and it's "no problem" to wear contacts after dilation. REALLY?! If that were the case, why did I have to come back? Why did Dr. Lee tell me the EXACT OPPOSITE? They do not even have their information straight. Long story short, I didn't get out of there until 3:30pm.
The next day, I'm calling around to get my prescription filled (LensCrafters wants to charge $51 per box, I know I can get it much cheaper at 1800-contacts or Costco) and we find out: HE WROTE THE WRONG PRESCRIPTION! Wow. All that time wasted and he wrote out a prescription for "02 Optix" which has been discontinued for a while now. I called three different places; no one will fill this prescription until it reads the correct brand name. So in a nut shell: I have a useless prescription and tons of wasted time.
So I called the center. Cher answers and she is in a huge rush to get me off the phone. She tells me "02 Optix" is a lens you change out MONTHLY, which is false (it's every 2 weeks). Then she tells me Aqua and Air Optix are the same thing, yet can't explain why one costs $10 more than the other. She is completely clueless, along with the rest of this staff. Then she tells me to come pick up a new prescription. I tell her NO. This was YOUR mistake, I'm not driving another 40 miles. She offers to mail my new prescription with the CORRECT name without an apology. She rushes me off the phone and says she will call me back once she pulls my file. I have not heard back from her yet. As usual, I'm sure I will need to call and follow up... to clean up their mistake.
This is the WORST experience I've ever had. This office has absolutely no customer service skills or professionalism. I know they're in a mall -- but the "convenience" is not worth the headache. Buyer beware. Find yourself a real doctor office; after this fiasco is settled, I know I will! read more
