This store makes me so sad. They have no customer service, no empathy, no humanity - just a firm desire to control their small fiefdom. My husband wear's glasses all the time to see - he's not a part-timer like me. We were in an airport in Alabama heading to our next destination (with 4 more to follow) and we broke his glasses. I called the store, young gal answered, I explained the bind we were in and asked if she could help me. She quickly found my husband's record so I asked her to email it to me - she put me on hold - came back and said their internet was down. Asked if she could send it to my efax - she put me on hold - came back and said they would need my husband to sign a release form. I politely reminded her that we were in an airport and had no way of printing and returning the form. Asked her if my husband could provide personal data to prove who he was - they don't have any personal data on file. Asked here if she could just give me the numbers over the phone and I would record them - she put me on hold - came back and said no that wouldn't work either. Asked her what I could do/provide/pay to get the information from her - she put me on hold - came back said unless they had a signed release form there was nothing that could be done - she was sorry and asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. The manager came on the line - I retold my story (it's been 27 minutes now) - her suggestion was that I search for a local Len's Crafter at our next destination city and she would release the file to them. We are on business - traveling to 5 cities and the last thing I have time to do is to hunt for one of their stores - my plan is to go to the closest place and get a fast pair of glasses made! So obviously I am frustrated, stressed and angry and I feel that if I explain my situation again it would help. Hmm - I got a snicker from her and a "well, sorry there is nothing we can do". We ended up finding a local chain, paid to have his eyes (re-examined) and glasses made. Needless to say - I won't go back to this store. read more

Dr Avak was great. i came in to replace a broken lens on my reading glasses and they wanted $290 for a pair of polycarb lenses alone!! having to pay out of pocket i promptly told them no and went home to research online options and found an entirely new pair of rimless on optical4less for $40. i realize online purchase is not for everyone and that there is a premium to have your glasses made in an hour but paying more than $300 just seem wrong. eyexam-5 stars frame selection-3.5 stars value for $- 1 star read more

I ordered contacts from this place on 11/1/2014, and I didn't receive them until yesterday (11/23/14). I called twice to check on my contacts, and twice I was put on hold and then asked to leave my number so they could call back. On one of those two occasions, I didn't get a call back until the next day. They told me my contacts would get here in ten days. I know stuff happens, but the service was subpar over the phone. They sounded puzzled, as if my contacts hadn't been ordered or something. I work in customer service, so believe me, this review is through the filter of someone who is understanding and knows stuff happens. Absolutely fell short of taking care of long time customer. I will go somewhere else to buy contacts from now on. read more

We went there last year for glasses and they were okay, but this year I called to make an appointment for my husband and I specifically asked if they were in Network with our new insurance. The person I spoke with said she thought they were but would call me back if there was a problem. The day before the appointment my husband got a call that had his name wrong so I called back to confirm that his information was correct in their system and I again asked if they had verified the insurance and if they were in network. This person said yes its verified and everything is good. The day of the appointment they first tried to charge my husband as a cash patient and said they didn't have insurance for him in their system. He called me to find out if they had any issues confirming when I made the appointment. They ended up charging him for the out of network rates. I called again and finally was told that they were out of network with the insurance. I spoke to the manager and they offered a discount on future services and refused to take any responsibility for failing to verify the insurance prior to the appointment even after I specifically asked. I will never go with them again. read more

This Lenscrafters used to be 5 stars. While the eye exam is still great, with a very conscientious eye doc, the retail side has fallen below average. The selection of Oakley frames is minimal and with most all the glasses, one is forced to buy the polarized lens. It used to be an add on, but no longer. Many brands come only in polarized sunglasses so if you do not wish to have this option, you are out of luck. I was told the limited frame selection was due to numerous thefts of glasses on the wall display....Really? So instead of securing the frames you are simply going to limit the selection? After trying on lenses and paying for them and then driving home, I was called and told those lenses couldn't be made by lenscrafters...one would think this to be common knowledge for a company that makes the lenses for the frames they sell... Not sure if I'm going to give them one more chance or go elsewhere. read more

To preface I have struggled with other Optometrist office for 10 years. bad prescription,dilation after dilation,fitting after fitting,,my eyes more tired and me less able to read,(my passion and recreation) This year I learned of Digital Scanning, I investigated and found that most insurance do not cover it..Mine covers the glasses but not the exam. I went to the Lenscrafter site learned what they do, how they do it and the information I would get from it. Go to the site it is very specific.I called the Mall store they verified that they would do everything the website said. Raymond the Manager of the store set up an appointment I explained to him that I was tired of the traddition eye exam that stressed me,my mind & my eyes,,and that I was tired of all the dialtion and all the negative remarks from the other optometrist about my failing eye sight....When I arrived for my appointment he was ready for me,did my paper work,,asked many questions about my sight,,how why,when,did I use my eyes the most,,,my reading was addressed. The exam technician was very patient I am short so everything had to be adjusted (the fact that she paid attention to that tells me a lot). I went through all 5 digital exams plus a live digital exam of my retina Yey!!! no more dilation,Then to Dr. Lee he listen to me, showed me that he had all the results ready and that I would get to see them all,,which he did he went through everything with me showed me his computer screen as we went through it all, the most important was the Retinal Scan I could see my Retinal he shown me every section of it explained what he looks for in patients my age, the edges curling or pulling away no!,,my blood vessels healthy,,no blurring in the center tissue,,everything look good!!! No I do not need surgery!! no I am not losing my sight.!!! Dr. took me back to Raymond gave him instructions on what frames are best for me and how he wanted them to sit on my face...after Raymond did his thing he brought out the lens tech. to verify and make final adjustments....I am so pleased with this office the time and care they took. 10 day later I had my new glasses on picking them up I wanted assurance that if I was not happy that they would fix it or give me my money back,,they have a 30 day policy,,,,In the pass I have to spend days - weeks getting use to the new glasses. Not This time!! Finally!! the minute I put them on I could tell the difference,,no dizzy,no blurring,,no more me manually adjusting the lenses so I could see,,,,Perfect from minute one!!!! ( at that time I presented my old prescription for them to compare, the old was to strong and was stressing my eyes out.No wonder!!!) Thank You Raymond & Dr. Lee for giving me a new life,,,,two months later I am so happy with my new glasses!! I will never go anywhere else. read more

I was told I had a scratch warranty on the lens I purchased (for a period of 1 year). I wrote it down and who I talked to. And now several months later they are denying that I have the warranty. They were rude and dismissive about it, kindness and civility would have helped. An offer to split the difference would have worked. I'm sure I will not go back. P.S. if you do go here... one of the workers is really nice and one is really rude, good luck on which one you get. read more

I had a great experience! Had to find a new place for glasses due to change in insurance. Always a little skepitcal of big chains but this experience was different. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Jessica was super helpful and knowledgeable. Very professional and still friendly. I had a lot of questions because this was my first time getting progressive lens and have worn contacts for years. She was patient and made sure to answer them all. I also liked the variety of frames they have. They had to order my lenses which I expected, so no concerns there. I'm looking forward to returning to get glasses. read more

When I first came I thought the staff was really nice but now I think I was just being pacified... I called to get the pricing on contact lenses and was told by a gentleman named Francisco my brand would be $75 a box. This is around the price I would see elsewhere if I were buying multiple boxes(there are usually deals) so I opted to come in. I got an exam first. The optometrist I saw was very friendly and answered all of my questions. Moving forward to the ordering of my contacts... Skylar helped me and he told me my contacts would be $100 a box of course I told him about the person I previously spoke with. Skylar said this was not the case but he would take care of it.. Sounded like great customer service to me! I was a happy customer... for the moment. They ended up having some issues ordering my contacts due to their system and one week later I am being told by a woman who was there for my initial conversation with Skylar that I will be charged the additional fees and my contacts are still not even ordered. I was supposed to have them now. I'm beyond frustrated at this point. Update: Spoke with general manager and he offered nothing to remedy the situation. I opted to just cancel my order and go else where. The search for a good office continues. read more

is this the optometrist in the vintage faire mall? anyways, there is a great manager here, she always smiles at me and greets me when i come in, and a couple of their staff who have been there for a while are the same way. i hate going to pretty much any kind of doctor but they make it pretty bearable. also, if you have to wait around for your appointment, you can stroll around the mall for a bit, if nothing else than to entertain yourself for a few minutes. read more

This location by far had the worst customer services skills! The first time I scheduled a eye exam I was on more then half way there I called them to let them know there was a accident on freeway and I MIGHT be a lil late, when the girl who answered told me the machines were down anyways and they were not gonna do my exam. I asked her why didn't anyone call me to tell me, it would of saved me time and gas. Her response was you shouldn't have a appointment anyways?! Umm I have a email that proves I did and I wasn't about to waste more of MY Saturday on a disrespectful girl. After finally get my exam and my glasses the girl put in my prescription wrong!! So here I go again to get the lenses swapped out after they reordered and now I get another rude girl telling me I need to come back during the week before 5 I explained to her I went this route already I can only come on weekends I work in Stockton and I can not get here before 5 during week she said to come on the 20th before 5 in a very rude manner! I chose to have my yearly contact lens exam here rather than the office that is covered by my insurance because I liked the last appointment I had here before my insurance changed. I made sure to let them know that I chose to pay for my appt. because I liked going there before when my insurance was accepted. My appt. was scheduled with Dr. Kyle Lee, but my actual exam was performed by someone else. I will have to assume she is another optometrist? She never introduced herself. I left with contacts to try, which are weaker than my current prescription. She kept mentioning bifocals, which I do not need because I have no problem seeing close, but I guess because I am 41, she thought it was important. I also purchased glasses. When I came back for the next appointment to check the contacts, Dr. Kyle Lee was the one who checked them. He said that they were rotating too much. He advised that I should come back the following week when the contacts he wanted me to try arrived. I had already been without contacts so long, I was not willing to wait a week to try another kind and then come back in an additional week to have them checked. He agreed to write the prescription after I asked a customer service person to let him know I did not want to wait. The customer service person seemed unwilling to contact the Dr. because she said he was busy with patients. My displeasure with this visit began here because I am a patient and my appointment had not been completed. I think she also said something to the effect that the Dr. would not give me the prescription if it would be harmful to me. I felt as if I was being discouraged from making the request and did not appreciate the comments from her. I reminded her that I was also picking up glasses. When she brought them out, I tried them on and they were very blurry. The case that came with my 400.00+ glasses was a flimsy sleeve and there was stickiness on the arm. I told her that they were blurry and that the stickiness had to be cleaned. She found out that my lenses were switched (right was in the left position and vice versa). I had to wait a couple more weeks for my glasses. On the plus side, I did get a refund because of a promo going on for the lenses. When I took the prescription to get contacts at Costco, I noticed that my prescription was written for Acuvue Oasys instead of Acuvue Moist. I had to call to have the Dr. change it and then they had to fax it over to Costco. When I called to see if the prescription could be changed, again I was told by the same customer service person that the Dr. was busy with patients. I reminded her that I am a patient, as well, and that the Dr. had not successfully completed ANY part of my visit (wrong prescription, wrong glasses...). When I went back to pick up my glasses, I got a better case, a better customer service experience, but the contacts really don't fit right. I am going to see an optometrist who is under my insurance. The place that is covered by my insurance does tend to make it uncomfortable to let them know that I plan to purchase my contacts from somewhere else, but at least the optometrist conducts a thorough exam so that I can have contacts that fit instead of treating me like I have endless amounts of time to spend on going back and forth to their office. If you have read this thoroughly, I don't think I need to explain why I will not go back or why I even bothered to take the time to write this. Maybe I just fell through the cracks here, but maybe it is a pattern. With my visit being only once a year, it is difficult to call it, but this is what my experience was like this year at Lens Crafters in the Vintage Fair Mall in Feb/ March 2019. This Lens Crafter's on Sisk has the worse customer service. I have a pair of sunglasses that needed a screw. They had my glasses for over 30 minutes and never fixed them. Also wanted to purchase two pairs of glasses. They acted as if we were bothering them. We finally left with nothing done, just wasted an hour of my time. This Group Specializes in deception. Great at providing customer service, picking out your frames, prescription, lens coatings and tint, fit. They are all in. But once you pay 350-400 dollars (that's with Insurance); well, that good feeling disappears. Suddenly your being tossed to the dirt like a used rubber. We got your money, If we remember, we will call you.....right. WRONG! I ordered my glasses on 29 Jan. Today is 16 Feb, and I called them. Not a happy Camper, next time I would rather go to K-Mart or Wally World, may be cheaper prices and probably the same service .....but at least I did not pay a lot, to be treated like a used rubber. read more

If I could give a negative 5 star for this place I would! I've been coming here for over 10 years but the last year and a half or so the customer service here has gone downhill. My appt was at 1:40 today. There was one couple in there when I got there. I had to wait for someone from the back to provide me with the paperwork to complete (5-10 mins). I went to the back as instructed to fill out my paper. I waited another 15 mins or so for someone to come take my paperwork. All this time more people are walking in and looking at glasses and asking questions. All WITHOUT appointments. I finally get up to go ask the lady behind the counter (a supervisor no less) how much longer it will be until I'm seen. She says someone will be with me in 2 minutes. So I go sit again in the back for another 5 - 10 mins. By this time it's about 2:20 (again, my appt was at 1:40). She says that she's just going to have the dr see me before they do my tests?? I ask why. The normal procedure is for one of the sales people to do the routine tests and THEN you see the doctor. She said well it's really busy today. I said no it's not, there was one person waiting for the doctor when I came to fill out my paperwork and one couple talking to an associate about glasses. It's busy NOW but I've waited for half an hour. She then has the nerve to tell me that it's going to be another 45 (FORTY-FIVE!!) minutes until I'm done. I said are you freakin kidding me?? What the hell is the point of making an appt when I have to wait while everyone WITHOUT an appt is seen and assisted immediately?? I told her I made my appt at the time I did for a REASON and there is absolutely no way I am waiting that long. I told her I'd be going somewhere else and left. This is completely unacceptable and their lack of any hustle to make sure the people who have appts are seen even relatively close to their appt time is absolutely ridiculous. You've lost a long time customer. read more
