Customer service was 50/50. Doctor was wonderful, her clerk, not friendly, never made eye contact just asked questions and handed me a bill for exam. After the examine the clerk that was to assist me with glasses was extremely rude and non helpful at all!! Never smiled, nor said hello and would not leave the counter to help. I asked another clerk to assist in picking out glasses and to explain how my insurance works, cost etc, although she was not very knowledgeable she was friendly. I was then told it would be 7 to 10 days for my new glasses, my current ones became scratched and affected my vision and I needed them quickly ... it's day 12 and still no glasses. I've worn glasses for 30 years and have lived in multiple states and this has been my worse experience. Poor service. Called to schedule an appointment in advance and provided my insurance information over the phone and they confirmed the accept my insurance. Show up for the appointment at 4:40 won't see me because they never called to verify coverage on my insurance and now the insurance company is closed. This location has horrible customer service. I recently purchased frames, planning to have the Rx lenses done by costco (way more affordadable than the high index progressives offered by lenscrafters with insurance). I informed the employee that I was unhappy with the fit and would like a smaller fitting frame. I was then prompted to "l look at the tag" for the sizing information. Being one of two customers in the store, I do not feel that asking for this assistance was too much to ask for. Unhappy with the selection and lack of guidance I returned my purchase and left. VERY VERY POOR SERVICE! This Store was lucky to get 1 star from me! When I made an appointment with the San Tan Lens Crafters I arrived on time and was told that they accidentally double booked my appointment. I thought no problem mistakes happen and I thought they would just squeeze me in. NO they told me that I had to reschedule. I then asked why do I need to reschedule have the other person reschedule. The response is priceless "We can't just bump people!" That is exactly what they just did to me. The service was HORRIBLE and when a company makes mistakes they need to work to fix them. Not Lens Crafters of San Tan. They must have such a large clientele that they feel they can treat people with little to no respect. My family cancellled all of our appointments and have to find another place for our checkups and prescriptions. We live across town and most of my 8 person family wears glasses. We had appointments scheduled 3 of us on one day and the rest on another. We got a call from this office saying we had to cancel one appointment ent because the eye doctor decided that he will only see two people per family at any one time... my response was "that's great.." because the third was my 18 year old daughter lived with her boyfriend and was just meeting us there. The receptionist said no. The doctor said only two people from a family a day. And clarified that this new policy wasn't because of Covid. It's a good thing. I don't want anyone to be anywhere near my wife and kids eyes that has no common sense. We got turned away and forced to cancel appointments solely because we had too many appointments per family...? The optometrist was great! Very friendly and gave me free samples of my contacts and solution. The optometrist staff was unprofessional in my opinion. Their attire looked dirty and they were less than informative. Very chatty with each other. The saleswoman Donna, however was very helpful in regards to getting me information regarding my insurance benefits. Unfortunately they didn't have the Coach glasses I was looking for, otherwise I would have bought from her!! read more

The optometrist here is great. Quite friendly and helpful. They always work hard to get me the most for my money when the time comes around for my eye exams. We have an eye doctor that we use though our insurance, but buy all of our eye glasses at the San Tan location. They can get busy at times. This last time the place was very quiet and I got amazing service. The gal helping me was fun and helped really look for the style I was shopping for. She even had fun with me while I was taking photos of the glasses and sending to my husband for his input. VERY fast turn around time too!! read more

This place has poorly staffs that doesn't know what the hell they are doing. Twice they have screwed up our appointments. Originally our appointment was scheduled for Saturday at 11. When my wife arrived, they said the appointment was for Friday at 11. How could this be when we called on Friday at 530 pm. How could the appointment be at 11 am.? So they screwed up. We rescheduled for Wednesday at 530.when we arrived, now they are saying that they don't do exams for new view . When they clearly new that's what the exam was for. So why schedule us? . At this point, we walked out. We will never come back here ever. Poor staffs, can't even get our appointment right. read more

Very poor service. The first time I went in, nobody even acknowledged me so I walked out. The next time I got the eye exam and the systems were down so I couldn't get my glasses. Went in a third time to have fitting and was told they would be done in an hour. No one was willing to help us in our search as they all seemed more attentive to those who new what they wanted and were sure to buy. I thought maybe it's just this one time, but apparently my glasses came in on 6/22 ( had to order the lenses) and no one bothered to text, call, or email that they were ready. In addition to that, showed up for appointment, waited 30 minutes outside room, waited in room 30 minutes, and the another 30 in the room. This is a miserable place. This place is awful. They have no concept of customer service. I have now attempted twice to have an eye appointment and the first time no one was at the front desk for 15 minutes. The second time I tried to come in as a walk in Sunday as their website and storefront claim they accept walk in's. So we got there 20 minutes before they opened and waited to which they said they are "all booked" and refused to take us as a walk in. The office staff need to take some customer service classes including how to make eye contact, smile, and be polite. I was planning on getting contacts, glasses, and sunglasses- designer brand- so they just lost a pretty penny. Plus word of mouth is going to bite them. Ouch. read more

The Optometrist was great, very helpful and gives you free samples...ect. No problem with him...but not sure who hires the staff. WOW. I am not a picky person but this was crazy. First of all, they were supposed to call me for a follow up visit when they got my contact order in. NEVER CALLED ME. When I called the store asking if they got my contacts...they said..."hmm, cant find the order...guess they were never ordered." They said they would check with the doc and call me asap. NOPE...no call back. I call the next day...someone else answers the phone. I say.."nobody called me back yesterday...they said my contacts were never ordered." They said.."no...your contacts are here and we tried to call you on the 8th to come in." Nope...checked my phone and voicemails...NOTHING. Then I come in for the follow up. "Oh..you didn't need an appt...you just need to try the contacts on and go" OK....then WHY did the person on the phone tell me to come in for an appt!?!?!?! The front office is unorganized, rude, inexperienced ect. I was shocked these people were even hired. Even as I sat in the waiting area....people were walking in complaining....saying they never received a phone call...ect. DO NOT come here. I have always had wonderful service from the doctors and opticians at this lenscrafter. In fact, I recently ordered new glasses and when they did they final inspection, they noticed a couple of hairline scratches so sent me home with them to wear while they reordered a new pair. We were losing insurance and needed to get my daughter in for an exam and order new specs within a week and they were very accomodating. read more

Giving one star only because Zero stars was not an option. The optometrist there is great but the "Lenscrafters" part of the business is a joke. Last year I had a horrible experience and the same thing happened again this year. Same issue 2 years in a row. You go in and you do the Eye appointment and every aspect of that medical appointment is top notch. Then you go select frames and you have to wait 2 weeks for nearly everything you select. The whole same day, 2 hour gimmick is a farce. So you pay top top dollar for the frames and you wait 2 weeks for the lenses to come in and then the lenses are scratched or have a defect that requires a re-order. You wait 2 more weeks, they don't call you back, you call them, and you have to go back in again to get them done. It just shouldn't take 3 trips over 6 weeks to get reading glasses from a company who advertises "Glasses in an hour" on all their marketing. This year it happened again and it was a month before they called me. Here is the best part, the chubby 50 yr old lady who was working when I went in to pick up my frames (after nearly 6 weeks from my initial eye exam) was wiping her nose before she had me sit down to have them fitted to my face. I passed on my fitting from snot girl - DISGUSTING. I will say the shorter bald gentleman who works there is very nice and very professional but other than him I would never go there again. GO ELSEWHERE! GLASSES in an hour is a joke. On site lab? Yeah, a maybe a meth lab. LOL. read more

I came to this Lenscrafters after not being able to find what I wanted at the Chandler Mall location. As soon as I came in, i was greeted by Donna, who was very helpful. I tried on many pairs, taking a break in between to give my baby a bottle. Donna called to verify my insurance and noticed there was a proble. Due to the optometrust where got my eye exam, my insurance indicated I wasn't eligible fir frames. donna called to rectify the situation, but wasn't able to because the optometrist was closed. Donna let me know that I would have to wait until the next day so my insurance could void the issue at the optometrist. We went back the next day, and Donna had already taken care of the situation. I read some of the reviews for this store and was just a little afraid to go there. But it is closer than any other Lenscrafters, so we went there. The manager, Mike, greeted us on arrival and asked Kristina to help my wife find lenses. My wife selected from four different lenses in just a short time. The way Lenscrafters measure for position of the progressive feature is computerized and very quick. We were on our way in about thirty minutes. We came back in a little over an hour and the glasses were ready. Kristina made an adjustment to the nose pieces and we were again on our way. Very good and knowledgeable service. I have gone here for the last few years and one thing right off the bat that's changed is that they don't provide, "ready in an hour" service anymore. Their prices are about the same as they were but the convenience is gone, making this overpriced in my opinion. Although I will continue to go to their on premise optometrist, but I won't buy frame and lenses here anymore. And that's only partially due to the prices. It was more to do with the lack of follow-up from their staff to get my order processed after a computer glitch while ordering. Although I followed all the instructions that were given me to see if anything was charged or not, they forgot that the order wasn't processed, and called me back 8 days later to inform me of this. I decided to not go through with it and take my business elsewhere. It's not the associated fault since I'm pretty sure he didn't want the computer to go down at that time, but the fault of management for not following up read more
