Very negative customer service. Particularly woman working in Glasses department who commented on…read morethe scent of my detergent in a very disparaging way. The staff just seem very uninterested in there jobs and the patients. It feels like a factory production line.

DO NOT go to see Dr. Del Negro... unless you want FALSIFIED information entered into your medical…read morerecords. This guy is a flat-out LIAR. I had made my first appointment with him due to pain in one of my eyes which he diagnosed as "iritis", gave me eye drops, and told me to come back numerous times for follow-up appointments. During the last follow-up, he wrote in my medical records that I was there for a "chief complaint" of "decreased vision involving the left eye and the right eye" (a TOTAL LIE)... so that he could bill me an additional $60 for a test to determine if I needed prescription glasses (something that I had REPEATEDLY told him I did not want or need). I found out about the lies he had put into my records after calling his office about a week after that appointment and requesting a copy of the doctor's notes for my records. Catch him in his lies, however, and he and his staff will do absolutely NOTHING about correcting the records. I have sent letters to his office regarding this, but they don't seem to care. I guess it's 'standard practice' for them to operate in this manner. They won't correct the records, but they sure didn't waste any time billing me. What's worse though... he billed Medicare for the LIES as well! Sounds like INSURANCE FRAUD to me!!! What a low-life jerk this guy is. I'll tell you this much... it will be a COLD DAY IN HELL when I pay him that $60!

Dr Friedberg was able to see me immediately and do surgery in two days…read more Office staff is amazing too.

I had visited this doctor on referral from my opthomologist due to what he said was diabetic…read moreretinopathy based on the high tech scans. He told me that most likely Dr.Friedberg would laser it or inject medicine to help the burry vision in my right eye. Dr.Friedberg dismissed this diagnosis and said that I had a torn retina. He said I had two options. One was laser that would improve my vision but would not give me full range of vision. The second was surgery at Riverview that would be 95 percent improved. Obviously, I chose surgery. His scheduler set it up for two days later and told me I needed to rent a special chair for the weeks following because the bubble put in eye requires looking down for over a week. Surgery was unusual and he was nasty to the assisting nurses. I also sensed a problem when apparently they did not have enough probes on site. He used what they had and continued. After the surgery I told him that I was prepared with the chair and he said his technique did not require it. $250 to rent this based on his staff's instruction. After the two months healing period I had worse vision than before. He then said I needed injections once a month for four months and that should solve the issue. At that point he also said that he did see the swelling that I originally came to him. Insisted it had nothing to do with retinopathy. After the fourth injection showed no improvement he basically told me that there was nothing else that he could do and I should consider this eye as a "spare tire". What? Follow up with my ophthalmologist was not promising and after I told him what happened, he said we have to wait and see how the eye progresses but the cataract in the same eye may not be able to be fixed with surgery without risk due to the retina surgery which weakens the eye. I feel he botched the surgery and then dismissed me knowing that he screwed up. I would strongly not recommend this guy. As others have stated, his office is old with old equipment.
