My husband and I were new patients at Primary Eyecare and both of us agreed that going to Primary Eyecare was a stress-free experience. This was my first visit to this eye doctor since my 2019 appt somewhere else. For those of you…read moreconcerned about how the practice is handling appts, here's the news: Once you make an appt, you get an email with a form to complete and bring with you and a confirmation with instructions for your appt. They are asking you to call once you're in the parking lot. I waited near the door (not hovering over it) and Dr Leggin came out to bring me inside. She took my temp right away, took my form and asked me to use hand sanitizer. I went into the exam room where she explained everything that was disinfected and what was being used. She washed her hands before starting the exam and used hand sanitizer quite frequently. She remained double masked the entire time and took the time to talk through some questions and comments during the appointment. Once done, I checked out with the front desk, which is partially covered with plexiglass except for a small opening to pass through paperwork and payment. The person at the front desk was also masked and there were signs posted about the guidance they're following. My appt was on a Wednesday and my contacts and glasses are expected to arrive the following Monday. Overall, a solid appt. Peace of mind knowing these are the steps being taken for an eye appt. She is not able to see the same volume of patients due to all the extra steps needed. I lucked out getting an appt just a few days from calling. She is dedicating an hour per patient to allow time for those extra steps (disinfecting, taking temp, asking to to use hand sanitizer, etc). Parking is easy as there's a dedicated shared parking lot for the area she's located (behind old man rafferty's).

My family's new go to optometrist!…read more I yelped to find a glasses store that sells Asian fit frames, which is made to fit people with flatter nose bridge. Through yelp, I found this place and read some positive reviews of Dr. Lee. I made an appointment for myself and two kids and we all had our eyes examined by Dr. Lee. He's friendly and I never felt rushed through our appointments. He made sure to answer all questions and concerns. When our exam is done, we have the choice to get our prescriptions written and head out to another place to shop and shop here directly. Honestly, I knew I needed the Asians fit so I browsed around to see what they have on stocked. It didn't take too long for me to fit 'the one' pair of frame. It was light weight, cute and fits my face perfectly. The best part is the frames are reasonably priced compared to my other Asian fit frame I purchased in north jersey. 20% discounts are given to customers who doesn't have insurance for frames and yes, unfortunately that applies to us. I'm happy with my glasses and so is my son. For my daughter, there were no change in her eyesight exam which is great as she can still wear her existing pair. Their staff is friendly and really try to work with the patients/customers. I have seen them on providing costs effective and solutions if you have any financial concerns.

Dr Lee and his staff are professional and up to date in technology. He has amazing mannerism. Staff is super helpful and kind. I got a lens that did not fit my expectation. Very nice quality frames. The Doctors were fantastic and extremely thorough. We did not feel rush during the exam and there were 2 of us. The office equipment was very up-to-date and modern. This is always important for me because I always want my doctors to have the latest and greatest equipment. The office staff was super friendly as well. I will come again and also making hubby switch his doctor. This was a pleasant surprise. So glad our regular eye doctor was on vacation. Would of never switched but so glad we did. Thank you Dr. Tarbell and Dr. Greenfield for a wonderful eye exam!

Like another review mentioned, her office is state of the art. She is now out-of-network for my insurance, but I pay out of pocket. We tried saving this cost a few years ago and made a big mistake going to an eye group only interested in making money, and shockingly - they treated my husband for months, for a condition he did not have. I suspected this, so our 2nd opinion was back to Dr. Tarbell (thankfully), and this was confirmed. Lesson learned, go to who you TRUST. Kudos to the staff and optician as well, they are all outstanding, and very friendly and helpful.

After reading the rave reviews, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Sherman. On the day of my…read morevisit, I was informed that Dr. Sherman was running behind and was given the option of waiting another 20 minutes or seeing Dr. Raia instead. Since I had already been waiting about 10 minutes, I chose to proceed with Dr. Raia. I found Dr. Raia to be efficient and professional. She completed the exam quickly, and I was then directed to the front to select glasses. The staff member assisting me (no name provided) asked about my preferences. I mentioned I was interested in unisex frames, but she repeatedly suggested styles that clearly did not fit that description. After a while, she left to help another patient, and I finished the ordering process with another staff member (also unnamed). I was told my glasses would arrive in approximately 7-10 days and that I would receive a call when they were ready. After leaving, I realized I had not been given a copy of my prescription. Three weeks later, having heard nothing, I contacted the office to check on the status. After being on hold for several minutes, I was told the glasses had not yet arrived and that they would contact me when they did -- essentially, "we'll call you." Interestingly, about 10 days after that call, I was notified that my glasses were ready, which did make me wonder whether the order had actually been placed on the day of my exam. When I picked up the glasses, I asked for my prescription. The same staff member who had initially helped with frames -- previously friendly and upbeat -- seemed noticeably less welcoming. She stepped away and returned several minutes later, silently handing me the prescription. I thanked her, wished her a good day, and left feeling certain I would not return. For what it's worth, I also found the frame selection to be fairly limited. My spouse was examined by Dr. Raia one week prior to my appointment and he found her to be attentive, helpful and efficient. His glasses arrived within two weeks of his appointment. He, too, had to ask for his prescription. He also expressed disappointment that the staff did not discuss progressive lenses with him and pushed him toward frames that he did not want. He now unhappily owns a pair of bi-focals.
