During my daughter's routine eye exam, Dr. Comforti noticed some slight abnormalities that didn't look right to him. His recommendation was that we go see a retina specialist who in turn recommended genetic testing which in turn revealed an underlying condition undiagnosed condition my daughter had been dealing with since birth. My husband and I were extremely impressed with the doctor and the staff. We were greeted at the door, asked what we needed and were attended to right away. My husband was getting new glasses. The assistant looked at his face selected a few pairs, her first choice was the best. There was no pressure to purchase, no sales pitches. It was extremely professional. The doctor reviewed the prescription, checked the measurements and made modifications to the prescription. I've been going to Accurate Eye Care for years but had my first visit post-COVID restrictions this past week. I was very impressed with all of the precautions they had in place throughout the office. If you are looking for an eyeware shop to spend significant amount of money, and then turn around to be treated poorly, then this is the place for you. I purchased high-end sunglasses here and was disappointed in the end product. I voiced my concerns, and they were only met with aggrivated attitude. I was spoken down to, and treated as though my money and time was taken advantage of. The manager is hostile and easily irritated. I've been coming to Accurate Eye Care since I was in college, so going on 5-6 years. All of the staff is extremely nice and helpful. I called most recently to schedule an eye appointment and the staff were able to accommodate my needs, as I'm currently pregnant and didn't want to have an appointment close to my due date. The staff was able to squeeze me in only a few days later from my original phone call. I LOVE Dr. Conforti, who is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and respectful as far as doctors go. Their selection of frames is pricey and I chose to not get my glasses there, which they did not badger me about when I asked for a written prescription to get my frames elsewhere. I would suggest to be as upfront with them as possible, as I can understand frustration with insurances not covering everything when it comes to vision care. It's hit or miss here, depending on the people working there that day. Some of the women working there are just not nice people. That being said, let's talk about the practice itself. If you have insurance coverage for your glasses, make sure you know what you are entitled to. They tried to upsell me frames and lenses, instead of telling or showing me what my insurance would allow for free. Since I was aware of what I was entitled to, I didn't fall for their phony sales practice. They were trying to push the $300 and $400 frames, instead of showing me the display of frames which were FREE to me! Then, when it came time for the lens, they tried to push the most expensive ones, when I could get the basic one for FREE. That would have been another additional $150! I don't like that kind of BS. Firsst, show or tell me what I am entitled to for free, THEN, if you must, try to upsell the frames and lenses. Just knowing what I was covered for, saved me a lot of money. I personally will not be going back here, even though the doctor is nice, he must be part of the push to try and make you spend a lot more than necessary. read more

It is always a pleasant experience at Accurate Eye Care. Eye exam was exceptional, glasses are precise and I see with great clarity. Cant say enough about Ted the Optician. I have been following him throughout his 10+ career because he is an expert craftsman and ethical, kind gentleman beyond words. Glasses made by anyone else are inferior and sub par. This place is a true gem. As others have mentioned, excellent customer service, wonderful repairs and current selection of frames and sunglasses. I visited several eyeglass/optometry businesses in the immediate area and found this one to be the most customer-oriented and receptive. I could not book an initial appt. earlier than 3 weeks into the future (others were willing to see me immediately) which indicated to me that they were busy due to a popular following = good service/practice. Proved to be true: each and every individual of the support staff were approachable, accommodating, and never appeared to be rushed nor dismissive of my inquiries. Dr. William Conforti's interview and examination with me was relaxed, taking his time to listen and respond, thorough in his review/exam; a great bed-side manner! Nancy (support staff) is very knowledgeable of her inventory options and showed personal interest in matching product with my wishes. Ted (technician) was generous with his time to assure that my finished product was properly completed to prescription, and that the frame fit was appropriate for me. A very comfortable experience with individuals who were not just knowledgeable about their service, but enjoyed to be of service to their clients! This is the eyecare for us all! read more

Without getting into every detail, suffice it to say that they were generously willing to exchange a pair of prescription glasses for a different frame after they were already worn for a few weeks. On the flip side, when we came in to make the actual exchange (which took over 2 weeks both for the original glasses as well as the replacements!), Ted the optician turned nasty, snapping at us for daring to forget to bring back the original frames. We stopped on a whim totally forgetting the original pair because we were nearby. There was no malicious intent. Granted, it was our mistake, but Ted treated us as though we were criminals trying to steal the original pair. I returned the next day with the frames and told the woman at the front desk that I brought back the original glasses and was here to pick up the replacements. She went in the back to tell Ted who promptly started yelling at her, "What does she want me to do? Walk out there and take them from her hand?" She said that she wasn't sure but thought I was picking up a new pair. He walked out of the back and I politely said that I brought back the original frames so that I could pick up the ones that he kept the day before. Ted then starts to yell at the woman that she wasn't clear, that she is stupid and how is he supposed to know what she is talking about. It was completely unprofessional. I handed him the glasses, explained and apologized again that we forgot the glasses the day before. In an extremely condescending and angry tone, he said something about how we shouldn't have kept them in the first place if they weren't going to be worn for the two weeks between ordering and their coming in. I replied very calmly that we are sorry, it was human error and really not the end of the world. He didn't utter a word. Nothing. Although we were happy that they exchanged the frames, I would never walk in that store again. There is no reason to support a business where the optician treats his co-workers and customers with disdain and disgust. Go elsewhere! read more

I cannot express how professional, welcoming, and helpful Dr. Conforti and the staff at Accurate Eye Care have always been. I have been going to Accurate Eye Care for over 15 years. Approximately, 8 years ago I moved to Washington DC and Accurate Eye Care is the only doctor that I have maintained in NJ. Nancy and Cathy always work with my unpredictable schedule, sometimes on very short notice, to schedule an appointment while I am in town. Before my eye exam, Dr. Conforti always takes the time to ask how I am doing, what I've been up to, and have I had any major life changes before we get started with the exam. It is clear the he has also taken the time to understand my individual eye care to create the eye care plan for just for me. For selecting new glasses, Nancy is an expert at picking frames that work best with my look and my insurance. The entire staff makes me feel like I am a part of the Accurate Eye Care Family.
