The folks run your insurance and let you know what you are entitled to, exam, frames, lenses etc. Spare pair has a tremendous selection of eyeglass and sunglass frames for all the budgets. The doctor was fantastic, extremely friendly and provided my wife and I with a thorough exam. I was impressed with the amount of employees there milling about offering help and advice. My wife and I chose our frames and settled on a cost. We left a deposit for our glasses, the office called us a few hours later to let us know that they made a mistake and the glasses would be a few dollars more and would that be ok. I like that they confirmed the change. Glasses were completed within a week. My wife and I were fitted and on my way. Now I will say that there are a ton of online eyeglass companies where you can get bargain basement frames and lenses but fit is always a challenge.....check out the Spare pair if in need.

Family has been to this location and the Howell location, it just depends on what appointment dates are available. Eye tests are pretty streamlined and they have many options are far as frame choices. I am rather simple when it comes to my eyeglass frames, so I can easily find frames well under the expected budget. Staff has always been helpful and glasses are ready within the timeframe provided. I am not here often enough to get to know anyone on a level other than acquaintance.

Brand new glasses came in with something on the lens, two lines half an inch long, and one of the employees says they are a manufacturer marking. She tells a long tale about black lights and clubs. That was a lot of nonsense. She refused to clean them off and said they are supposed to have those lines. She could not be more wrong. I got home and was able to wash it off. Why do they have employees lying to customers handing out dirty glasses?

When you walk in you feel like you're in a high end boutique in the city. The exam is thorough, Dr. Haber takes her time with you and answers all of your questions patiently and with a smile. You feel like you've stopped in to have coffee with your girlfriends. Right now they have a special for exams for only $30. Yes, $30 for a contact lens AND glasses exam. I used to pay $110 and up for my eye exams! They are thinking of ending it soon because of the name outlet and the cheap prices they are concerned they aren't getting customers b/c people see that and think the service is junk. My husband thought the same thing and let me tell you this is not the case at all! My frames were only $100 and they are gorgeous. I get more compliments with these than I ever did with my old frames which cost me over $450 at another eye place. It is run by sweet, loving people who really care about your vision. The selection of frames are AMAZING and the prices are incredible! They also have beautiful frames from Prada, Ed Hardy and other high end brands. They have prescription sunglasses and children's eyewear. I brought my mother there last week for her exam and she was amazed by the professional and caring service. They do take insurance too - call to find out which ones. Yes, they do contacts too! Don't like the trial pair? They'll keep ordering ones for you until you find ones you like. No hassle, no fuss.
