I know it sounds really silly, but apparently is more common issue than I thought after talking with the eye doctor. They were able to fit me in same day. Front office staff was nice and quick. And Dr. Greidinger was very personable and knowledgeable. He explained how he was going to check the issue and answered any questions thoroughly. Terrible Experience - Please Be Careful…read more I had my cataract surgery done here, and it turned into a nightmare. I went in with very high eye pressure, but they still went ahead with my left-eye surgery as scheduled. During surgery, my capsule broke. The surgery center didn't even have the proper lens for the sulcus, so I was left without a lens in my eye for two weeks. Later, they performed another surgery to implant the lens. Unfortunately, due to the trauma from the first failed surgery, my cornea became swollen, followed by consistent inflammation. Six months later, Dr. Kung told me that there were leftover fragments from my natural lens causing infection -- and that I needed a third surgery to remove them. All of this led to corneal edema, loss of vision, ongoing inflammation, and constant pain. After consulting two cornea specialists, both confirmed that the bad cataract surgery caused all of these problems. Now, the only solution left for me is a cornea transplant. I am terrified and deeply regret trusting this place. RUN -- do not risk your eyes or go through the misery I'm experiencing. On top of everything, they ran many tests on their machines and charged me a lot of money throughout this ordeal.

As background, I had PRK laser surgery ~5 years ago, and find it important to ensure everything continually looks fine. After moving cross-country, I needed to find a new ophthalmologist and Dr. Feldman was recommended by a friend. This was my first visit to Dr. Feldman and he provided one of the most thorough and informative eye exams I have ever had. He was very caring and had a good sense of humor, and most importantly explained things very clearly, using layman's terms and not just medical terminology. I was also impressed that he used an ipad to show me diagrams of the eye and help illustrate things visually! To top it off, the staff at Mercer Eye was also very courteous and professional, my appointment started on time, and the facility was clean. An overall great experience. I will definitely be back.

I've never left their offices thinking that they could have done better. Over the years some of the reception people have been uneven but that's an epidemic across all medical practices where lack of training, low pay, high turnover and corporate consolidation proliferate. She was so unbothered I started looking around for the cameras since I was surely being pranked. There was zero apology let alone an acknowledgment for the wait and in fact I was genuinely asked if I would like to re-schedule my appt for another time. I looked at this person as if she grew a big horn out of her head. Its a shame because Dr Desai is extremely competent with an excellent bedside manner. I looked up some reviews of this practice because its in free fall mode and found out the practice was sold to a private equity company a few years back. Mystery solved. Pure Chaos!
