Wish I read these reviews before coming here to this location. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! There are other LensCrafters locations that are so much better - save yourself the trouble. The front desk workers are absolutely awkward and unhelpful (except for Heather, white young lady with black hair), the doctors are just rushing their appointments/giving out incorrect prescriptions, & the manager (maybe Jenn? Older white lady with blonde curly hair) has the most horribleeee attitude. I've spent 4 weeks back and forth due to being give the wrong prescription, scratched glasses, and only to come out with "you should've bought the protection plan I don't know what to say". My first experience with Nelly 6 months ago was efficient, friendly, and caring service when she completed my 3 pairs of Oakley Prescription Glasses. I came in today, with no appointment, to request an emergency repair on my glasses. I was pleasantly surprised when Nelly remembered who I was and how she could assist me with my repair issue. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this location. We ordered a pair of non-prescription transition Ray Ban replacement lenses. Order took about a week for the store to receive it, and we never got a call regarding our order. We had to call to find out they already had it. This location was a bit of a far drive for us, so we did verify that we were able to drive down & get the lenses the same day and they said yes. Once we arrive to pick up the lenses, they tell us we have to leave our frame in store because there was no technician to swap out our lenses and they are unable to release the lens replacement because they have to pop them in the frames themselves. Which I thought was already weird because from what I've seen online, it's an easy pop in the frame.. And these are non-prescription, normal lenses. Anyways, we were frustrated with their rude employees and asked to ship the lenses to a LensCrafters closer to our house. Funny thing is, when we did pick up the lenses from another location, the rep in the front just popped the lenses for us in front of us without any issues or excuses of needing a technician on site. read more

So bad.... Don't know how this store stays in business. Was interested in checking out the new "nuance" sound boosting glasses. Was told we needed to make an APPOINTMENT with a "specialist" to try them out. Scheduled an appt 2 weeks away. Showed up to our 4pm appointment today and was told the glasses needed 15 min to charge. At 4:45 we finally sat down with a young woman who had NO IDEA how to even turn the glasses on, let alone provide any demonstration or "expertise". Wasted our entire afternoon. My first time here and I don't know how I feel about the service. The doctor was very helpful (hence the 3 stars) however the ladies working at the time were kind of cold. After my check up the doctor had given me a prescription, but the lady who rung me out didn't even ask if I was interested in getting a pair of glasses from there. I was a bit confused. I was handed the receipt and a copy of my prescription and I was sent off without an explanation. I walked out confused and was debating if I should go back inside to inquire about how to get the prescription glasses, but opted to just find it elsewhere. read more

Truly the worst experience I've ever had getting glasses. I was told my lenses would be ready in 5-7 days -- it ended up taking over three weeks. When I finally came to pick them up (after confirming with the manager they were ready), the store couldn't even find them. I waited 45 minutes while they searched for the lenses that were supposedly complete and available. Customer service was consistently awful throughout the entire process. I emailed corporate to get some help -- no one ever responded. I've never experienced such disorganization, lack of communication, and complete disregard for the customer. I will never get glasses from LensCrafters again. read more

I don't provide negative reviews often but Honestly I would give 0 stars for the front desk team. I felt awkward, uncomfortable, and they were very dry. I feel bad to say this but they did not have a very good personality. A lot happened but in short I was in the front awaiting to pay for my check up and to order contacts. They didn't even ask if I wanted anything just rang me up quickly without any conversation. Which is fine but then I asked if I could get contacts. In short that conversation was terrible. Just barely provided information of what options I had and the cost for them. Mainly just stared at me. Was beyond uncomfortable. Finally chose to proceed with one year of contacts and after they rang me up they just walked away! lol I didn't even get my receipt or paperwork from my check up! I didn't even have a chance to say anything. I stood there waiting - as I do not want to be rude and reach over the counter for my stuff. They saw me standing there and would intentionally ignore that I was there. It was so awkward. They Even looked past me to gestured to the next person in line. I then said "umm am I good to go and they said yeah, I then said well can I have my paperwork and receipt" they responded "oh yeah... here" no thank you and good bye. If only that was done I would have had the chance to say thank you but can I have my paperwork. lol! They literally charged my card and walked away. What the heck is that? I don't even want to mention how uncomfortable it was to tell them that I was there to buy contacts. I don't even think they care if you buy glasses or contacts. Literally shook. I don't know if you need to replace the front desk team or just train them better. I wish you guys the best. But wow! It was a poor experience. read more

So sad. Both of the eye doctors are great. However, everything else is shockingly bad. I don't know how they're even still in business. I was up-sold to a higher tech type of lens and was not even told that the lesser price lens, which I had used for years, was still available. They had to replace the lenses twice after the first pair didn't work. Apparently, they mismeasured. I ended up having to go back to the store nine times to finally get a pair that worked. When I would call in, I was told that someone would call me back tomorrow. When I called the next day and asked for that person, I was told that the person wasn't on the schedule that day, and they didn't know when they would be in. Twice, they told me the manager of the store would give me a call and let me know the status of my glasses. I never heard from her, ever. After the first two sets of lenses didn't work, they measured for a third. I was told that a third pair of lenses needed to be approved by a manager. This took six weeks! I've been going to this place for years and years. I won't go again, the service is simply too bad and there are now other stores that are better (and cheaper). read more

LensCrafters employees are terrible. I told them I'd like to return brand new in box pair of glasses, they told me 'sure, you need to bring them in to the store to get the process started.' Great, easy enough. I return to the store with the glasses and they tell me "we don't do any returns here, I'm not sure who would have told you that" (it was the same woman) I pull up the LensCrafters order support page on which it says "Issues with your order? Come visit us in store to start the returns procedure find a store" She responds bluntly "no, you can't do online order returns in store." I show the webpage to the manager who changes their story to "we can't do it because the system is down." Either way, they were deceiving and totally unhelpful. read more

Let me start by saying the only reason I have been a loyal supporter of this office is because of Dr. Park. I have an extremely strong prescription that is very difficult to get contact lenses prescribed correctly. For years doctors have given up trying to find the right prescription for me which made my life very difficult. I found Dr. Park by chance and from day one she gave me genuine attention to solving my problems with my eye sight. After time and a lot of effort, on her part she found a prescription that finally works. If you want to see a doctor who actually cares about her patients this is the place for you. read more

I got my eye exam done here. I was greeted by a very nice lady who explained to me how each machine worked, as it was my first time getting my prescription glasses. The doctor went over my eye "x-rays" and showed to me things that he looked for. He was great at answering any questions I had. The longest part was really looking for the frames I liked. Staff does not greet customers, they just stand there doing nothing. My friend and I came in and they did not greet us. They literally turned the lights off while we were there and didn't inform us while walking in that they were about to close. After 3 mins of walking around while the lights were off the front desk girl walks up to us and says "we're closing". Girl bye. They are so helpful here. I went in to replace the lenses in my sunglasses to my updated prescription. As I was walking in, one of the existing lenses popped out. They put it back in for me while I waiting on my new order. When I went back to have the lenses replaced they originally said it would take 45 min and it only took about 20 min. Love it! read more

I paid over $700 with the frame and progressive lenses that had to replace after 1.5 years . in the past my glasses with last way over 1.5 years my eye doctor confirmed they were defective and they still would not honor selling me defective lenses . never going back there . read more

Dr Jenny Park is wonderful. She is super efficient and knowledgeable. I had LASIK surgery 20 years ago but have found my aging eyes not keeping up. I was resigned to needing to wear progressive glasses full time but she asked if I wanted to try to wear contacts again. I was told before that it was a 50/50 chance that I could wear them post-LASIK. I tried them with Dr Park and they fit. I am so happy to wear contacts as opposed to glasses. While trying on my contacts last week, she mentioned something more extensive about my optic nerves but I was concentrating on inserting the lens, I missed what she said. Today I went back and she took me back and explained what she saw and gave me a referral for an ophthalmologist. Side note- I got soap in my eye this morning but was concerned it was a foreign object. She gave me a quick exam to check it out. I so appreciate a doctor that takes the time to help. I highly recommend her and the team here. David was great at helping me chooses lenses for my back up glasses. read more

Eye Exam Review Only Dr. Park was wonderful, as well as the young gentleman who helped me at check in! Insurance was Eyemed, was new to it and wasn't sure how it worked. Costco sadly wasn't a participant so I was directed to LensCrafters. -Easy online appointment making, was able to get same day appt -Located inside the Westfield Topanga Center. Enter/Park near Macy's, closer to Target. 1st floor. Free parking -Completed all my check in forms on my phone before my appt. Didn't have to fill anything out at checkin -Waited for the "Pre Screen". Attendant took me into the pre screen room for 4 machine, eye tests. Also does the mapping. This is done everytime, but you are only charged the $39 if you discuss this with the doctor. Make sure if you don't want it, you stop the doctor before she discusses it or you get that charge. -After your machine testing, you go back into the waiting room for Dr. Park. Very nice lady, discussed my contact lens needs, how my vision is doing. She actually brought my glasses RX down .25 which really helped the sharpness which I always thought was my eyes getting worse. She hooked me up with 2 pairs of contact lens, checked them to make sure they fit properly and sent me on my way $80 for an eyeglass & contact fitting with updated RX. HSA/FSA accepted Eyemed covered everything except for $10 copay. Left happy and appreciative of an easy painless (on me and my wallet) visit. read more

Without Dr. Jenny Park and David, I'd give this place 3 stars. Making that human connection is key. I got a sense of honesty and professionalism that I truly appreciate from these two. I guess I haven't been a few years since my last visit to LensCrafters. It's different now. The in-house lab has been replaced with a more open floor plan...minimal, modern, and less clinical replacing white with gray tones. Remember how you could get a new pair in just a few hours? Not today. There is a two week window. So, the big value proposition has vanished. Luckily, I got my Burberry pair in 2.5 days. That's acceptable. I was not happy when the sales rep did not offer to special order frames that were not in my size. In the end, I found just one option which salvaged the deal. Can you imagine if my heart was set on another pair and I was not able to order my size? Potential disaster. I sense they've lost thousand of dollars with that sales strategy. My hunch is she didn't want to make the effort...too much work. One thing I want to point out is, the website lists Dr. Park as Jenny Park. When I approached the rep at the counter and asked for Jenny, I could see she was a little bothered that I did not say Dr. Park. Easy fix... just add "Dr." on the website!!! Otherwise, it just reads like it's a sales rep to be honest. I give Dr. Park and David 5 stars!!! And for that, it's worth the visit. Hey, it's in Topanga Mall... so lots to do other than just LS. At the very least, get the exam for your prescription, then go elsewhere for more frames. I'm sure you'll be able to order whatever size you need:) read more

So I had ordered a pair of glasses for the high holidays. They're bifocals in the distance part was perfect. The Reading part in a bifocal was not good and didn't enhance reading. I know the prescriptions right when I had other glasses done with the same prescription they worked well. So now the high holidays are over I went back to the store and now it's been 33 days and this woman said oh you're 31 day warranty. Is over so I can't help you. This is not the first problem I've had with LensCrafters store and it's not just a store.. I've also had problems with all LensCrafters story on Riverside drive in the mall, Sherman oaks, CA. I really love the impression that because this girl was black she didn't want to help me cuz I'm white. Really bad politics. read more

The employees at the desk who process insurance and billing are incompetent. The information they gave me regarding my eye insurance benefits was completely wrong. Even though I had been to the store previously. Instead of helping me the employees refused to call my insurance carrier so I had to do that myself and I have my insurance carrier call the store. I wasted 45 minutes fixing my insurance benefits for them because they are incompetent. After it was fixed none of the employees apologized to me that they were wrong. If you go to the store, make sure your insurance benefits are being run correctly! I will say the optometrist that works there is good and has good customer service but this does not make up for the incompetence of the other employees. read more

My husband and I went to have our eyes checked at the LensCrafters in Topanga Mall, Woodland Hills, CA I went to have my annual eye exam and was very happy with the test. however, because we already had expensive frames they refused to use them and they ended up selling me new frames for over $400, I took the same prescription some where else with my old frames and they had no problem putting new lenses in the frames that LensCrafters said they could not use. I ended up spending $400 on new frames that I did not need. read more

We had to go back 3 times because they couldn't fit lenses properly to a frame and they kept gaslighting us. Didn't offer a good explanation on why this kept happening. Just kept blaming the people who cut the lenses.We didn't hear from them at all for over a month or two so we went down there to get a refund because they obviously didn't care about us as customers. The manager (tall black lady i didn't catch her name) didn't offer an apology and she seemed bothered (which mam sorry to inconvenience your poor customer service). The floor representatives were very helpful so this review is not for them. It's for management. We don't play about our money especially since we always go to LensCrafters for our prescriptions glasses & sunglasses. Obviously we won't be going back after this experience. read more

Ordered new glasses and was told it would take 2 weeks to receive. I've been trying to get updates on them and they kept saying it's on its final steps. It's a few days till a month since I ordered them. Made 4 attempts throughout the month to check if my glasses was in. And of course the answer was "it's on its final steps till they ship it". Now the new excuse is it's coming from Texas. That's why it's going to take sometime till it comes in. They've already taken my payment and already took the insurance. Yet they kept telling me it's on its final stage. Didn't know it would take 2 1/2 weeks for a final stage in making glasses. And yet it's still the on the final stage. So I guess when I call again in a week ( 1 month 1 week later ) it will be in the final stages. Update: I finally picked up my glasses after 6 weeks waiting for them. When I went in to get them, they did not once try to apologize for taking so long. All they did was give it to me. I don't recommend this location and will not come again. I purchased a pair of ray ban sunglasses about 2 years ago from this location and today on my way home one of the nose pads was very loose. I figured I'd stop by and see if they had time to fix it. I walked in and was helped right away by a nice lady named Heather. She said it was broken and could fix it with new nose pads and it was fixed quickly and at no charge. Long story short, the employees and manager are racist, and the store charged me twice: they stole almost $700 from me. No one greeted me when I walked in. I started trying on different pairs of glasses, and all the employees ignored me. Even when I went to another section, the employee standing there looked down and stepped away from me. The many customers that walked in after me, however, received service right away. It was almost like the employees raced to get to them, because those customers were white. It took 10 minutes for me to finally get some service. The gentleman who finally helped me was polite. I send a huge thank you to him. Once we picked my new eyeglasses, I told him that I was going to get a second pair. As I was looking at the sunglasses, the manager kept giving me side-eye as she stood by the exit. Instead of asking me if I had any questions, she must have thought that I was going to run out. I was wearing sandals because I am recovering from a nail infection, the employee already had all my contact information for the purchase, and my father was sitting down at the back of the store... how could I be the one to steal?! When I went to checkout, the register froze right when I inserted my debit card to pay. The manager came over to the employee, did something on the register, and did not apologize for anything. The employee told me that the pending transaction should go away because the first transaction was cancelled. I put my card in a second time, and the transaction went through. The manager saw me walk out and did not say a word to me. When I got home, I noticed that LensCrafters Topanga charged me twice! Both transactions went through! They took an additional almost $700 from me! Email after email, and phone call after phone call, the manager told me that corporate would contact me soon about the investigation that would need to happen so that I could get my money back. I have not heard from LensCrafters since! Not only did LensCrafters Topanga waste my gas... not only did they ignore me when I first walked in... not only did they discriminate me... they stole almost $700 from me and have done nothing about it. I was being racially discriminated the whole time. Oh, and remember all the people who received proper customer service as soon as they walked in after me? They did not buy anything... I did! And look how I was treated at the end. I hope no one else has to go through what I witnessed at LensCrafters Topanga. Next time, I plan to take my business elsewhere, where I am not judged for my ethnicity, and where they don't steal almost $700 from me. I advise anyone reading this to avoid this store. read more

Yikes! The service from front desk here is awful. But! Before I get into those details I want to point out that my daughter had an eye exam and I immediately I was thrown off by the appearance of the doctor, whose name I won't put on blast because that would be mean. I believe healthcare providers should look professional and she was far from that. Hair obviously unwashed, not brushed, dirty scrubs, and she was wearing beat up vans that were literally falling apart and looked like my teething bully dog got to them for hours. You can't tell patients to take care of their eyes if you can't manage to keep up a clean and professional appearance. Mind you this is an eye doctor, not a physician who pulled an overnight shift at the ER with no sleep. She also forced me to say "okay" to the optomap, which was performed on my daughter by staff without my consent, all for a $39 up charge. Please use that to buy new shoes. Anyway now the front desk. Susy needs to get it together. We were in the process of finding new frames for my daughter when she suddenly disappeared, but I continued looking around the store anyway. When we decided on a pair of new glasses we waited at the front desk for someone, anyone! to ring us up-- but after standing at the desk for some time we gave up and left. I also heard Susy gossiping with her coworkers and yelled "we did so good!!!" referring to a sale they made. Charged a couple lots of $$$ for unnecessary add ons I'm sure. Yes girl, people can hear in the exam room, the walls are thin. Please use my feedback to improve! Happy to share the name of the doctor privately to upper management/corporate. Suzy was unprofessional and provided terrible customer service. There were mistakes made during the initial visit to purchase new frame and lenses ($100 enhanced scratch protection added to the wrong lenses; putting the same prescription in two frames instead of different prescriptions for each frame) - I've had to make multiple unnecessary trips and deal with delays in getting my purchases correct. A couple months later, I've returned with concerns with the same glasses and she has a bad attitude and seems unwilling to help or even listen to the situation. Save yourself multiple trips, some money, and headaches and don't come here. read more
