Would rate these guys a 10 if I could. I have a hard to fill prescription, Jimmy re-made my progressives when the lower mag area didn't come up high enough, then had factory remake again when there were stains in the lens. Could not have been nicer to work with. Did I mention he found me a pair of smaller frames, very hard to come by. Highly recommend. read more

Great and quick service! The staff is super helpful and friendly. They were recommended to me at Costco, and they repaired my glasses and it looks like new! One of the stems was broken and they replaced it for a reasonable price , and the replacement was just like the original! I'm very thankful that you could save my glasses! read more

Their product is garbage. Glasses fall apart and never stay on face. Screws do not stay in place and nose tabs break off instantly.

Reseda. CA Small business!!! 2nd time being here. Getting sunglasses prescription filled. In my frame. Nice people. Amazing prices. Cant get your eyes checked here, but He cuts the lens here. I will always try to come back. Kind people. read more

Extremely happy I was recommenced this place (by a Costco optical employee no less). In the beginning of the pandemic I purchased a pair of vintage Versace sunglasses -- the lenses needed to be replaced because they were prescription, but had a difficult time finding a place that would be able to do it (without sending it to an outside company with a turn around of two weeks). From the start (assuming the owner) Jimmy has been overly accommodating. A few days ago I left a message inquiring if they could do the service in-house and I received a prompt call back. He provided his cell so I could send him photos of my sunglasses so he could assure me that he would be able to do the service. And now I'm here in his nice cozy space - waiting for him to fix another pair of sunglasses despairingly needing a repair. Asked him to repair the following: - switching prescription lenses to polarized lenses - reshaping/remolding (loose on sides) - add new screw to side of frames for broken arm For services that require so much time and precise attention to detail this place charges WAY under (what I'd normally pay) at a big corporation & the benefit is that you're helping a small business! read more

I was referred to Your Choice Optical to have new lenses made for frames I already owned. Jimmy took care of me and was straight forward with pricing and expected turn around time. I couldn't be happier with the results. I got my glasses back in half the time and the quality of work is superb. I've gone through the cheap glasses online route before and was never truly happy with what I'd get. Now, I can get the frames I always loved updated, without settling for some cheapies. Thank you Jimmy, I will be back in a couple of years to update my lenses again! read more

10 stars if possible! Jimmy went above and beyond to provide the best service possible. I called on a Thursday morning and asked for a quote to get lenses filled on my daughters frames that had recently been lost. The price was way lower than all the local shops I had called, and he was able to have the glasses ready by Friday at 1PM, less than 24 hours from the point that I dropped them off. I will be coming back for all my future eyewear needs! read more

In and out in No time! -literally. My glasses were crooked all of a sudden ‍. I'm not sure how much time I was actually there but I'll tell you this, I put a dime in the parking meter which gave me a grand total time of SIX minutes. By the time the gentleman had fixed my glasses there was still time left in the meter. GREAT SERVICE! read more

Just left Your Choice Optical. They fixed my glasses in 15 minutes and did an outstanding job. The owner is delightful. The feeling of pride in his work jumps out at you. This is American Craftsmanship at its finest. Two Thumbs Up! read more

I got this recommendation from Kaiser Vision. My glasses were broken, however, I just bought new lenses from Kaiser earlier this year. I was recommended to this location because Kaiser could not repair the frame. Jimmy and Justine at Your Choice optical were gracious and professional. I asked Jimmy if he was a optometrist and he said no, he only fixes glasses, frames, and makes lenses. Prices were reasonable. I would definitely go back again and recommend to my friends. read more

During this Covid time end of March, my progressive prescription eyeglasses broke. Fortunately I had bought the same frames for my prescription sunglasses. I called and spoke to Jimmy and he was very nice. I left a message at first and he called right back. He explained that it's by appointment only during this time. We scheduled an appointment and it was easy to get there as well. He gave me two options as my glasses are very particular and he would have to order brand new stems and it would've been more costly. Instead he suggested I just put my lenses in the other glasses. I don't particularly need a prescription sunglasses so for now since I need them for reading and distance he was kind enough to just switch them out for a very low cost. Thanks Jimmy you and your wife rock! read more

didn't expect much, but it's a quality service. Would recommend this small business. After getting rejected by Walmart and Costco they kindly accepted my request to put in my prescription on my frames at a reasonable price! read more

I had a pair of pricey frames that I broke in the morning. Fortunately for me I had a spare to use to get through the work day. I needed to find a place after work and luckily Your Choice wasn't too far from my place. I met Jimmy who owns the shop, he was super friendly from the moment I walked in. He looked at my frames and gave me a quick estimate and promised if he couldn't fix it he wouldn't charge me. In about 10 min I was relieved to hear he was able to fix them and they were good as new! I love to support local businesses and this is one I would happily visit again. read more

This was a great experience fixing my glasses. The repair was quick, easy, and not too expensive. Jimmy is a great friendly guy who get the job done well. They also sell frames here that are more affordable but looks similar to if not exactly like the big brand eyeglass frame companies. Overall it was a very quick service done well and I will definitely come back for any other eyeglass problems. read more

My frames of my glasses are broken at the arm joints and everyone that saw them told me they were not fixable. I must have gone to 3 repair shops and they all told me it was not worth fixing . Until I was refer to Your Choice Optical . They did an amazing work fixing my frames . They are very friendly and the work that was done to my frames is top notch . My glasses had broke at the near the nose bridge late afternoon. Tried to find someone who could fix them. I was referred by an optometrist since they couldn't do it due to the COVID-19. So I call Your Choice this morning to see if I needed an appointment. I was able to go in anytime today. No appointment necessary. When I got there I was greeted pleasantly. I was the only one there. Didn't have to wait. Told them the situation and they replaced a new nose bridge for my glasses. I had a choice to wait and come back when they were done with the glasses or I could wait. I decided to wait since it was a reasonable time. They fit perfectly! I was sooo grateful they fixed them. So if I need to have any glasses fixed I'll surely be going back to them. GREAT JOB! read more

Been going to this place for years, Jimmy has always been very nice and helpful. Will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

I read about this place when searching for a way to repair my almost new, expensive bifocals. They were extremely helpful, did a fine job for a fair and reasonable price. This was exactly what I wanted....someone who would fix my existing glasses, not pressure me into buying an expensive replacement. Highly recommended read more

They are amazing. Everywhere I went either said they couldn't fix my glasses or it would cosas much as it did to buy them. I came inside showed him my glasses he said come back in one hour. I came back in two and my glasses were perfect but that wasn't the best part. He charged me $25 and they were better than before read more

I'm confused what they do here I'm all for supporting small local business I came in because my glasses are broken and Costco recommended me here as a repair shop and ironically they couldn't repair my glasses. Basically my frames split in half and they don't have a replacement which is understandable. Can't weld them since it's titanium, ok. Can't bother to find any retailer or wholesaler to order from, ok. At the very minimum could not put a piece of tape on them, ok. That's what this app is for to share experiences. Not trying to ruin their business just don't understand what they do as a glasses repair shop. read more

I first learned about this place when a worker at LENSE CRAFTERS broke my wire frames during an adjustment and then referred me to go have them fixed at Your Choice, which I call Jimmy's. (Yes I paid for the repair.) That was years ago and I have had a couple more pairs of wire frame glasses repaired over those years saving myself hundreds of dollars by not having to buy new frames or a whole new pair of glasses before a prescription change was needed. I've also had old lenses put into new frames here. I've never again purchased at LENSE CRAFTERS. I think of Jimmy as an honest and ethical businessman - someone who will tell you if a frame is beyond hope, if he can't guarantee results because it's too tricky, or if he can do it. I've also priced totally new prescription here recently and I swear we were talking about 1/2 to 1/3rd the price of Lense Crafters. The selection of frames is not what you'll see at a more expensive designer/ Ventura Blvd kind of place, but after you've seen dozens of them it may be hard to tell. I BELIEVE JIMMY AT YOUR CHOICE OPTICAL MAY BE THE ONLY PERSON IN THE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY, MAYBE ALL OF LA COUNTY, who REPAIRS! read more

It's the middle of the workday and my glasses broke. I had 45 minutes between meetings, looked on yelp and saw your choice optical was about a five minute walk away. I walked over and less than 10 minutes later my glasses were fixed and I was out the door. Jimmy was really nice and helpful. Will definitely be back! read more

I was able to get my RX sunglasses and I am 100% satisfied with the purchase. 5 star service, thanks again for everything.

Highly recommended. I was referred to Your Choice Optical after one of the eyeglass store I go to stated that they cannot put in the prescription to the sunglasses frame I brought. Jimmy greeted me at the door and gave me an estimate how much everything will cost. Took about a week and was very satisfied with their service! read more

Family run business, friendly and always there for me and wife. Been going there for 10 years, we live in Texas now but always drop in to say hello when we visit L.A. oh yes, and we always save our work to be done to bring with us or ship it to them for repairs, new lenses etc and they are always accommodating, I highly recommend Jimmy & Justina! I found this place on yelp when i was looking for somewhere to fix my glasses. I came in, and told this lady what my problem was and they quick fixed it. The leg from my glasses fell off and i need the screw to put it together. They quickly fixed it in about 5 minutes and they charged me $5. They were very friendly. While i was waiting, i took a look at there women's glasses section and there was a couple that caught my eye. I'm planning on going back to purchase new glasses. I would definitely recommend others to come to this location if they are looking to purchase or fix their glasses! read more

My dad's glasses needed to be repaired, and found this store on Yelp. Not only are they convenient, but really nice, did a great job and extremely reasonable. Love supporting Mom and Pop shops, and this one was awesome. We'll be back. read more

Broke my glasses at a show on the weekend, but not completely, all they needed was a new screw. Went to a place by my house and they recommended this guy at" your choice". So I drove all the way down there just for the guy to pretty rudely just point at a sign that said it would be 25 dollars. For a screw? No thank you. So I went back to the place that had recommended me and the guy was blown away that they charge 25 dollars and he said he wouldn't be sending any one else again. Then he fixed my glasses for free. So in conclusion, that was my experience with "your choice". Because at the end of the day its "your choice" to find somewhere else. read more

I was referred to here by Costo for inexpensive repair of my glasses. But twice I landed up in front of their store only to find they were closed without reason. Although the timings mentioned in their IVR/Yelp indicated that they were supposed to be open at that time. I was driving from Woodland Hills and was a bit disappointed to see the store closed on 2 occasions. Found another good store in Tarzana. Not coming back here again. This is the problem with Mom&Pop store vs franchisees! read more

Great and speedy service. My go to place for all my frames and repairs. Highly recommend!

I found this place on Yelp and called them because I needed my prescription filled for my eye glasses within a couple of days. I did not have the time to wait two weeks nor did I want to pay to have them rushed. The owner and his wife were very friendly and helpful, my eye glasses were ready in two days at a great price. :) read more

Found this place on Yelp and went there because it is close to my house. I wanted to have my prescription put into my sunglasses. Not only were we greeted with a smile, but the staff was very friendly and professional. I didn't have my prescription with me, but I was wearing a pair of glasses on my face, Jimmy took those and figured out the prescription right there while I waited. I was amazed since the few places I went to before said that they would not do it without a costly eye exam. The price was also reasonable and Jimmy called as soon as they were ready. Over all a really great experience. read more
