Extremely happy I was recommenced this place (by a Costco optical employee no less). In the beginning of the pandemic I purchased a pair of vintage Versace sunglasses -- the lenses needed to be replaced because they were prescription, but had a difficult time finding a place that would be able to do it (without sending it to an outside company with a turn around of two weeks). From the start (assuming the owner) Jimmy has been overly accommodating. A few days ago I left a message inquiring if they could do the service in-house and I received a prompt call back. He provided his cell so I could send him photos of my sunglasses so he could assure me that he would be able to do the service. And now I'm here in his nice cozy space - waiting for him to fix another pair of sunglasses despairingly needing a repair. During this Covid time end of March, my progressive prescription eyeglasses broke. Fortunately I had bought the same frames for my prescription sunglasses. I called and spoke to Jimmy and he was very nice. I left a message at first and he called right back. He explained that it's by appointment only during this time. We scheduled an appointment and it was easy to get there as well. He gave me two options as my glasses are very particular and he would have to order brand new stems and it would've been more costly. Instead he suggested I just put my lenses in the other glasses. I don't particularly need a prescription sunglasses so for now since I need them for reading and distance he was kind enough to just switch them out for a very low cost. I needed to find a place after work and luckily Your Choice wasn't too far from my place. I met Jimmy who owns the shop, he was super friendly from the moment I walked in. My glasses had broke at the near the nose bridge late afternoon. Tried to find someone who could fix them. I was referred by an optometrist since they couldn't do it due to the COVID-19. So I call Your Choice this morning to see if I needed an appointment. I was able to go in anytime today. No appointment necessary. When I got there I was greeted pleasantly. I was the only one there. Didn't have to wait. Told them the situation and they replaced a new nose bridge for my glasses. I had a choice to wait and come back when they were done with the glasses or I could wait. I decided to wait since it was a reasonable time. They fit perfectly! I was sooo grateful they fixed them. So if I need to have any glasses fixed I'll surely be going back to them. I'm confused what they do here I'm all for supporting small local business I came in because my glasses are broken and Costco recommended me here as a repair shop and ironically they couldn't repair my glasses. Basically my frames split in half and they don't have a replacement which is understandable. Can't weld them since it's titanium, ok. Can't bother to find any retailer or wholesaler to order from, ok. At the very minimum could not put a piece of tape on them, ok. That's what this app is for to share experiences. I first learned about this place when a worker at LENSE CRAFTERS broke my wire frames during an adjustment and then referred me to go have them fixed at Your Choice, which I call Jimmy's. (Yes I paid for the repair.) That was years ago and I have had a couple more pairs of wire frame glasses repaired over those years saving myself hundreds of dollars by not having to buy new frames or a whole new pair of glasses before a prescription change was needed. I've also had old lenses put into new frames here. I've never again purchased at LENSE CRAFTERS. I think of Jimmy as an honest and ethical businessman - someone who will tell you if a frame is beyond hope, if he can't guarantee results because it's too tricky, or if he can do it. I've also priced totally new prescription here recently and I swear we were talking about 1/2 to 1/3rd the price of Lense Crafters. The selection of frames is not what you'll see at a more expensive designer/ Ventura Blvd kind of place, but after you've seen dozens of them it may be hard to tell. I found this place on yelp when i was looking for somewhere to fix my glasses. I came in, and told this lady what my problem was and they quick fixed it. The leg from my glasses fell off and i need the screw to put it together. They quickly fixed it in about 5 minutes and they charged me $5. They were very friendly. While i was waiting, i took a look at there women's glasses section and there was a couple that caught my eye. I'm planning on going back to purchase new glasses. Broke my glasses at a show on the weekend, but not completely, all they needed was a new screw. Went to a place by my house and they recommended this guy at" your choice". So I drove all the way down there just for the guy to pretty rudely just point at a sign that said it would be 25 dollars. For a screw? No thank you. So I went back to the place that had recommended me and the guy was blown away that they charge 25 dollars and he said he wouldn't be sending any one else again. Then he fixed my glasses for free. Although the timings mentioned in their IVR/Yelp indicated that they were supposed to be open at that time. Not only were we greeted with a smile, but the staff was very friendly and professional. I didn't have my prescription with me, but I was wearing a pair of glasses on my face, Jimmy took those and figured out the prescription right there while I waited.
