Unfortunately, the experience was marred by several missteps: a lack of guidance on titanium frame availability, incorrect sizing (I typically wear 52mm but was given 55mm), and no clear explanation of lens upgrade options. I left the store frustrated, second-guessing my choices. But then came Yaacov. This store is bullshit. When they don't know how to deal with a customer they do not go in advance to make sure the customer is happy. I went there to my rayban Meta glasses and they don't know how to deal with it. So they asked the manager and manager saying like come back again. I just had my annual eye exam at LensCrafters (2370 N Druid Hills Rd NE). I am a long-time contact lens patient (I have been going for over 15 years). I usually see Dr. Boxer, but he was booked so I saw Dr. Kim. I was highly disappointed by my appointment. Dr. Kim walked in and did not say much as she greeted me and was clicking on the computer. She did not ask me how my vision had been this past year or if I had any concerns or anything I wanted to discuss. She immediately started doing the vision comparison (1 or 2, 3 or 4, etc). Once she completed that, she told me my vision had changed slightly and she went to the computer to enter the data. She then (reluctantly) offered me a sample pair of contact lenses in my new prescription. She brought them in and I put them in, and then she told me the appointment was over and walked me to the front. She did not offer to re-do the exam with me wearing the new prescription, and she didn't look to see how the lenses were sitting on my eye (a customary thing for when you wear contact lenses) or ask any follow up questions. If you go to this location, I highly recommend only seeing Dr. Boxer. read more

Talk about genuine, engaging, a little witty & detailed assistance is all Wex. 1st visit was the inquiry stage where Wex wrote all the information pertaining to the specific frames I was looking for on his business card. He then calculated the options that best suited my budget. 2nd visit in which I forgot Wex's business card, yet with his great memory he reminded me of everything we discussed the night before. After deciding my best purchase point, Wex took a digital measurement of my face for glasses position all in a matter of seconds. He placed the order for my new frames with turnaround time about 2 weeks. The entire process took less than 20 minutes & I saved roughly $150+. I would strongly advise against visiting this place and one star is forced as I can not do less tha that. My son has been trying to get a contact lens prescription since June, and the experience has been nothing short of frustrating. They consistently delayed the process with a series of excuses. When my son attempted to use the prescription to order lenses online, the website rejected the order, stating that the prescription could not be matched. Clearly the office messed up the presecription. After all this hassle, my son decided to proceed with this office, as they wrote the prescription. It was some substitute doctor on that day. On Saturday, August 17, 2024, my son called to follow up on the order for contact lenses and was told the lenses would be ready for pickup on Wednesday, August 21. However, when he went to pick them up on August 22, he was informed that there was no order on file. I received a call later that day explaining that because we hadn't paid upfront, the lenses were never ordered. Then, on August 23, I was told by Michelle that the order couldn't be fulfilled because his prescription is too high, and they need to order more samples. This entire ordeal, stretching from June to August, has been incredibly frustrating. Additionally, the sales staff at this office are equally unprofessional. When I inquired about glasses, a salesperson (forgot her name) promised a $50 discount if I made a purchase the same day. the sales perosn quoted me after insurance discount it will cost me $150. I confirmed atleast 5-6 times if the price quote is correct. I have been Lens crafter customer since 20 years. I ended up paying over $500 above the insurance cost. In summary, this place is marked by incompetence and unprofessionalism. I wouldn't recommend it unless you enjoy dealing with significant hassles and poor service. The young lady that helped me was extremely friendly...but that's where it ends! I was told that my single vision lenses for a pair of frames that I already own would be ready in 2-3 days (one week max). That was 18 days ago! I have called to get an update because noone reached out to me, and the date keeps getting pushed back. I have called 2 times to speak with a manager, each time there wasn't one available. I reached out to corporate (Luxottica), and have heard nothing back. Do not do business with this company. They simply have a daily quota to meet when it comes to selling eyewear and will do anything to get your business. My que that this was the wrong place to visit should have been when I walked in and noone even acknowledged me for close to 5 minutes....until they saw me looking at eyewear on the wall! read more

We had a good experience shopping here for my bf's glasses. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and were immediately greeted by Jack. He was helpful and not aggressive. There were several staff members on the floor milling about. I try really hard not to be an ageist but there was an older employee who was extremely slow when we had a basic question about whether the frames we had selected came in a different color (and her answer was later dispelled by another employee). We thought their selection of frames was pretty decent. My bf wanted something basic and we felt that we got to explore all of the typical shapes and reasonably priced brands. He had gotten the prescription from a different optometrist and selected LensCrafters because they worked with his insurance. After we had narrowed it down to a few contenders, Jack was really helpful with making suggestions and proposing alternatives, so by the end, we felt as though we had really exhausted all of the options. He said he has been doing this for 13 years and it shows! Would recommend this store if you're looking for glasses or sunglasses. read more

North Druid Hills - This was the best eye care and eye wear service I've ever experienced. I literally had an appointment at 3pm, and by 5 pm everything was done: thorough exam, picked out glasses, processed payment; text me to say they were ready for pick up - prescriptions lens and all. On top of all this, the staff was awesome - super friendly and very helpful. This place is definitely a win-win! read more

Had my appointment here on Wednesday, first time here and it was very pleasant. From the time I walked in, up until I left. Soo many frames to choose from, nice staff, and they didn't rush me to buy any frames that day. The frames are pricey (because basically all their frames are designer) but you can still find a cute pair for about $130ish. I didn't purchase any frames the day of my appointment because I wanted to try another location to see if they had different options before I spent $300+. I did not have a good experience here and will not be coming back. Firstly, I wanted to reschedule my appointment and there was such poor communication in the office they called me, no exaggeration, 6 times over two days. When I did show up for my appointment, the tech sat me down in front of the optomap without any discussion of the price or why I needed it. Even though this was not covered by insurance and I had to pay an additional $37. The tech laughed at me when I asked about routine dilation and said it was out of practice. The optometrist, Dr. Udell, said that dilation was also out of practice, which is really just not true, After my appointment, I asked for a glasses case to take home my glasses and the salesman gave me an earful about not purchasing lenses at the same time as my exam. Scheduling availability is great. I even rescheduled and any time I needed was available. The day I went in for the eye exam, I only waited five minutes before they called my name. Typical exam and the doctor and nurses were really nice. After my exam I begin to search for glasses. Once I found the pair I liked, I sat down with a sales associate. She was very helpful. Their system was running really slow but she said it was due to the storm a few weeks prior. The system was so slow she was going to manually put the information in later and gave me pay over the phone but I told her I'll wait. They said it would only take my glasses a week to come in but it actually took two weeks. read more

Huge shoutout to Guy and Lloyd!!! This is why I will continue to go to this lens crafters location. I have been a patient of Dr. Boxer for 10+ years. I value customer service and this is what wins my loyalty to a business, every time. To make a long story short, my mother bought a pair of glasses and lenses. After only a few months, her lens had a problem. She had traveled overseas right before covid happened and traveling home was completely out of the question. When she was finally able to return home, several months had passed, but the fact remained, her lenses still had a problem. I reach out to lens crafters and Lloyd was so incredibly polite. He listened to my concerns and assured me that they will do everything they could to correct the issue. Guy, the store manager personally reached out to me and let me tell you, he is the epitome of what customer service is and should be. His professionalism and positive attitude was appreciated and noted. He not only corrected the issue but also made his solution seamless for my mom. I appreciated that more than he will ever know. I had a great visit! Everyone was warm and welcoming upon arrival. Prior to my appointment, I had gotten some awful family news and came in with my swollen eyes. Jennifer was nothing but an absolutely light! She recognized that I was sad and made it her mission to keep a smile on my face. Her customer service was such a breath of fresh air, if it weren't for COVID I would have gave her a hug after my appointment. In addition, Wex helped me find stylish and practical frames. I was impressed on his knowledge of frames and how well he accommodated certain features I needed ( anti glare, blue light protection). I am so grateful for this Lens-crafter! My glasses started to fall apart within three weeks due to a poor weld. I paid hundreds for this inexcusably bad quality. LensCrafters did nothing. Not even an apology. They don't stand behind their work. I am stunned at the lack of customer service. Look elsewhere. read more

Be aware!! Lenscrafters does not stand behind their products. In September of 2022 I purchased new eyeglasses and lenses at Lenscrafters. In December one of the temples broke while trying to adjust the fit. I have never had this occur with metal frame eyeglasses in the 60 years I have worn glasses. I went to Lenscrafters thinking they could replace the broken temple. Wrong!!! The first thing I was asked was did I buy insurance for my glasses? No, I did not. I am not careless with my glasses, and I don't participate in activities that would be a hazard to my glasses. I was then told there was nothing they could do to help me. After insisting how ridiculous it was for Lenscrafters to offer no solution I was told they could submit a warranty request to Luxottica. This was done while I was at Lenscrafters. In a few days I received a response from Luxottica. They determined my frames were out of warranty. They could however sell me a new pair at a reduced price. Luxottica is an 82-billion-dollar company! They stand behind their products for less than four months! This is totally ridiculous. The easiest most simple and right thing to do would have been for Lenscrafters to give me a replacement temple from one of their sample frames. They choose to hide behind their parent company Luxottica instead. Not customer service. read more

Came here for a contacts exam and I was so impressed with my experience! Came in, filled in my first timer form and started getting tested as soon as the form were processed. Whole staff was very efficient and friendly. Dr Boxer spent a lot of effort trying to get my prescription perfect. I walked out with new contacts ordered and somehow completely covered by insurance. First time that I have felt like I am not being pressured to spend lots of money. They were moderately busy and everyone was super friendly. Didn't feel neglected at all like in some offices where you see the dr for five minutes and spend the rest of the time waiting. It really feels like they want the best deal for you and your eyes! Every year for years I receive fantastic service from this location. They do have reps that are rude, I overlook that though because of Jennifer & Dr. Boxer. I specifically need to make you all aware of how professional, courteous, hospitable, and kind that Jennifer Jones is. Every time I visit she has a gift from a patient because she is the definition of what customer service is. She is the example of what you should do when interacting with customers. There are so many locations in ATL that I could go anywhere, I choose to go to this location. I haven't had insurance that Lenscrafters accepts in 2 years, I still come. That is because of Jennifer and Dr. Boxer. Please do something for Jennifer. She deserves everything and this office cannot afford to lose her. We've been going for about 4 years to this office and have always had great service! Scheduling is so nice and convenient- you can do it all online. Dr. Boxer is great! He takes his time and never makes you feel rushed. He is more than willing to answer questions and always offers the cheaper options and what is best to apply insurance credits towards. Jennifer in the front office is a hoot! You can't not enjoy your time in the office if she is helping! Today staffing did seem a little off. LensCrafters (not Dr. Boxer and staff) have the office cleaned by a third party cleaning company- the company was still cleaning when the office opened. They washed chairs- which were all still wet. It was fine, but would hate for a new patient to come in and experience it. We just laughed it off- the staff apologized multiple times and didn't like the situation either! It did seem they had a new office hire- she was the only downside to our visit today. She was trying to rush through the testings and ended up having to have them redone. She was short and not very friendly at all. Seemed like she didn't want to be there. She definitely needs to have a lesson on customer service. read more

Being new to the area, I had no idea where to turn for my eye exams. Boy did I luck out when I contacted Lenscrafters on N. Druid Hills. Set up an appointment with Dr. Boxer and it was a wonderful experience. The facility is great and the Doctor and staff could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. 3 years in a row I've dealt with the defective lenses from this place because I can get cheap glasses there. I just always added the 1-year protection plan knowing I would have to go in every 2 - 3 months to replace my defective lenses. That wasn't a huge deal to me until last time, when I bought my new glasses and added the 1-year protection plan. Not a single person in the store thought it was important enough to tell me that the following week they would be shutting down the in-store lab and outsourcing all repairs and replacements so that when a replacement for the defective lenses is needed, rather than taking an hour or two, it will now take 2 WEEKS. The fact this was never disclosed even when they knew I believed the lenses were defective and that I was buying the 1-year protection knowing I will need to have replacements every couple months. Very dishonest business. As it turns out ALL Lenscrafters locations in Atlanta now outsource repairs and replacements to some mystery lab location, so if you are hoping they can help fix or get you new glasses in about an hour, you are in for a big surprise. read more

I have been going to see Dr. Boxer since I was a teenager in 1996. I haven't had a negative experience until recently. I made an appointment for 10am and indicated it was for a new contact prescription. I wear RGP(hard contacts) and have bought 90% of them in my life from this practice. I was about 15min early. Shortly after I checked in a dad came in and tried to check in for his 2 daughters for an appointment that his wife had made. The receptionist told him that he had the wrong date and they did not have appointments. He proceeded to have a shit-fit and call his wife and make a big scene. The office staff was not prepared to handle it and rolled over and let them both go ahead of everyone else who had been waiting. So despite being early to my appointment I had to wait 1h 30minutes before being called back. Once called I went back and did the eye tests etc. I then went into the patient rooms, waited another 20min and a new optometrist Iliana something(?) saw me. She was professional, did the whole 1,2 thing, but after we'd finished that she asked about my contacts and when I said(again) that I wear RGP lenses she said that she couldn't give me a new prescription unless I was buying lenses from the practice. I asked the receptionist and she said that RGP prescription lenses were $200-300 per eye. I left after 2.5 hours and spending $175 to not get any contact prescription. At a bare minimum, this practice has known I wear RGP lenses for 20+ years, so to get to the end of a $175 exam and be told "I can't give you a prescription unless you drop another $400+ on contacts." is pretty gross. *edit* I do want to shout out to their glasses lab. My glasses had been getting obnoxiously loose where i'd look down and they'd fall off my face, and for no charge the lab did a fantastic job tightening them up. *double edit* The eye-exam practice lady was awesome but she was having to pull from a literal giant wall of paper records from behind her and it took forever. I'm in Atlanta on a job for an extended period of time and badly need a new pair of Rx sunglasses. After coming here to update my Rx I ordered a pair that would be ready in "7 to 10 days"... 3 weeks later they finally arrived. On first trying them on they were somehow so warped / wide that they fell clean off my face. They tried one adjustment that didn't help anything, then basically said that frames are going to stretch like this when you put lenses in them -- which is something I've never heard or experienced in a lifetime of wearing glasses. Based on the interaction, decided to call it quits and will try elsewhere. I was given a refund for the glasses but not the eye exam. From the time you enter the door, until you leave, you are treated like a valuable customer. I had my eyes on some frames I had seen in one of their ads. Hadley immediately knew the ones I meant and found them quickly. He also handed me another pair and said, "Take a look at these two for comparison, they might be something you'd like." Of course he presented me with a BIG problem because he was right, I really, really liked the pair he picked out. I went to the front desk to get the opinions of the two people behind the desk, Jennifer and Ryan. Both were totally honest, and talked about good features of both pairs and explained WHY they thought their pick was good for me. I felt like I was part of a team determined to find the right glasses, and everyone was as determined as me! Hadley was professional, helpful and immediately figured out what might work for me. I understood the different choices I needed to make. She helped me find the right frames/lenses for me. Very happy with the overall vibe of the store and the employees. They did my contact Rx incorrectly and did not even size my glasses when I came in to pick up contacts and glasses. When I went back in for a recheck I waited 45 mins for my appointment and finally had to leave. After the holidays I had another doctor at this Lenscrafters redo the Rx correctly and they told me I had to pay for the 90 days worth of contacts again because too much time had gone by. There is no manager on duty, only a part-time office manager who, after interrupting me repeatedly told me they would give me 30 days worth. So after going there 3 TIMES to get a complete eye exam, I am out the $$ for 60 days of contacts, still can't see and they want me to go there for a FIFTH time to pick up the correct contacts. This place is mismanaged and tries to run people through like an assembly line. It was a complete waste of my time and money. read more

I was told that it would be and on the day of my appointment, i went in to be told that my insurance was not accepted. I told showed them the time that I called to verify but was to be brushed off by the front desk telling me they don't know how gave me that information.
