I'm going to take away a star for service. I ordered for pickup, and while over the phone I requested country fried steak griddle, to which the person whose name I didn't get repeated my order incorrectly and asked if I wanted the country fried steak and eggs, which I stated no. She then asked if I wanted this country griddle which at the time I thought she was short-hand naming my order, however I did repeat "Yes, the country fried steak griddle." When I got home from picking up my order, I discovered that my griddle didn't have any country fried steak in it, needless to say I was frustrated and rightfully so. So when I called I then got into a debate with the person who I ordered from originally who confirmed that I did not want the country steak and eggs, which I agreed and stated I wanted the country fried steak griddle, she mentioned that I confirmed with her the country griddle and I did say "yes, the country fried steak griddle verbatim" I repeated myself for clarity so there's no confusion. Well, I just learned that there is a country griddle and that's what I got, now there was an excuse as to why she didn't understand how the order shows on her end, which didn't add up for me because the menu shows exactly what is available and I read exactly what I wanted. In any case there was no humility in her voice, and while they did call me back to offer me a discount for the next order, it really rubbed me the wrong way. This by no means is a bad restaurant however this experience has put me off of them and I'm probably not going to be back for a long time. I would recommend ordering in person and dining in, it's likely they're just busy, but in any case I'm kind of done with them. read more

First, I feel like it hasn't been highlighted enough that this place is in kind of a weird location, it's in a huge office building and if you didn't know this was there you'd likely drive right by and miss it. I'm sure the people in the office building love having it though! We came on a Wednesday morning so it was pretty empty, probably about half the tables were full. As such we were greeted and seated quickly. They have Coke products which was a nice surprise since online it said Pepsi - so I got a Diet Coke. I ordered the sweet & savory waffle which is basically two waffles with an omelette in between. It was A LOT of food, way too much for me to eat all of. And my husband said his hash was the same. We've been here several times before but first review. It's in an office building but don't let that fool you. Cute decor in spite of the location. The food is good. This visit was wanting on the food. Hash browns dry, poached eggs overcooked. But in the past it was very good so chalking it up to a bad day for the cook. We had a large party. They won't sit until everyone is there, which is fair. Most of us were parking as we tried to get a table. However we continued to see couples getting seated and a few large parties leave. After over 20 minutes we had to ask to be seated. Never had this happened before. Plus we were promptly ignored. Very few drink refills and nobody was impressed with the food. Will go again to update on the food. But be aware that you're going to have to watch if there is a group. Again, this is not the usual experience we've had. Hopefully better next time. read more

Every visit for the past several years has been great! This place has THE BEST selection of crepes, Benedicts, omelettes, pancakes, and anything else you could possibly want for breakfast. The service is always on point, the food is fresh, and tasty, and their servings are huge. The salads for lunch are massive. Plan on taking home leftovers that you'll actually want to eat later. This place is truly a hidden gem. Hello. I normally don't do reviews like this, but after my experience yesterday, I feel the need. My one star isn't for the food...it was great, as usual. However, I am not a fan of having sweat drip down my face as I am waiting for, and eating a meal. It was so unbelievably hot in the dining room, my entire visit was ruined. I wanted to get up and leave, but my wife insisted we stay. As I looked around my table, I could tell I wasn't the only diner suffering through the heat. Your poor waitstaff was obviously in a great deal of discomfort, as well. I'm not sure how you expect people to sit and eat a meal in these circumstances. We won't be back until the fall. read more

Went here on a Sunday late morning with my daughter before a soccer game. Place was crowded. Had to wait 10-15 minutes which I thought was pretty good. This place is popular. It's located in a rather odd place; especially with the pandemic (an office building). They have huge signs directing you where to go. Once seated we were given menus and drinks quickly. Menu prices were like going back to the pre-covid days. The egg combo was super cheap. My daughter had a strawberry nutella crepe. Large portion size. She enjoyed it. My bacon was crispy and hash browns perfectly done with nice crunchy top. Waitress kept the coffee coming. We got our check timely, paid and left pretty quickly. A black bean burger wrap sans tomato, with the side of the honey mustard, A Bacon cheeseburger with no tomato, Mayo or ketchup and a Lena specialty burger and a chicken kale salad. The last item, the salad is of course for me. The orders would take about 20 minutes. It's inside of an office building. The total bill is about $50.35. I did have to get one more set of plastic wares. The man at the front counter seems nice. The kale chicken salad was quite tasty. Just a light touch of dressing. The chicken is good, so are all of the veggies. The Lena's special burger, bacon cheeseburger and the black bean burger were all good. Brought my 11-year old here for her special Mama/Daughter date day and she said it was the best breakfast ever. We got seated right away, we're asked our drink orders immediately, and the waitress was very attentive to our orders but also patient when we asked for more time. Last time I got the sweet and savory crepe and I preferred that to the west coast crepe. I'll go back to that next time. Red velvet French toast was better than the chunky monkey in my opinion as well but all options were good - just personal preference of preferring sausage and bacon to ham and preferring my fruit to be out of my breakfast sweet options. 5 star French toast! I had been hearing the hype about their French toast and it lived up to it! Honestly the best I've had. I ordered the bananas foster stuffed french toast. Sliced bananas, raisins, and pecans caramelized in a cinnamon, butter, and rum sauce. This heavenly mixture is then stuffed between two slices of french toast with cream cheese sauce. Wasn't too sweet either, just right. The french toast was fluffy and airy but had a nice crunch on the outside. Was hot and amazing! Service was quick and the portion size is great! I came here with a few people for brunch. It was a Saturday morning and it was pretty busy but we were seated rather quickly. The menu is huge. I was very surprised at the variety that they have, especially breakfast items. They had seasonal specials and my husband ordered off of that menu. He got the pumpkin French toast. It was delightfully crunchy and creamy at the same time. I wasn't feeling breakfast so I ordered the California chicken club. The bacon was very crispy, which I loved. The bread was very good and he had maybe seeds or a little bit a nut in it. The chicken was flavored very well. I'm not sure of the seasoning on it but it was definitely more than salt and pepper. It almost had a slight tomato taste to it...maybe paprika? I don't know but I loved it! This was our first time here but it don't be the last. Only complaint that I had as I checked in on yelp it was presented with a 10% off coupon through the app. When I went to pay the cashier said that they were not taking any coupons, that all of them have been discontinued. I had Lena's Kitchen bookmarked for the longest time and finally got around to having breakfast here on Christmas Eve with my parents. It was so worth the wait! Yes, this place is tucked inside a corporate office building. But it is definitely easy to access and open to the public. It was busy when we arrived but we were seated quickly. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu, which is quite extensive. They have some very unique pancake and french toast options. We tried omelettes, pancakes and French toast in our group. We were all impressed. The omelette with asparagus, peppers and broccoli was amazing and I could eat then again and again and not feel guilty! You also can chose to have pancakes instead of toast which I'm sure many people love when you want a little bit of everything on their tasty menu! My only complaint was that it was FREEZING in the restaurant. I had to keep my coat on and looking around the restaurant I saw a lot of people with their coats on and shivering so maybe they were having heat issues that day. The service at this place is AWFUL! Food is decent but customer service is REALLY bad. We were sitting there and a lady came up to us and told us that we had to leave because they had a 90 minute table Limit! WHAT???? Also did it to the table next to us!!! That's horrible. Also SUPER LOUD and very crowded in there. Asked for a booth and she said no! Instead sat us at a table when a booth was open right next to the table! Whoever runs this place needs to train their employees to be more accommodating and respectful to its patrons or it won't be in business for long.
