Glad we got reservations, since it's busy tonight. The shoreline chicken sounds good, except for the shrimp, the elote egg rolls sounds good, except for the chorizo, crab stuffed mushrooms sounds good, except for the shrimp again. Wish the BG bowl didn't have rice mixed with the farro. Ordered the crab Rangoon, calamari with the sweet chili sauce on the side, Caesar salad with blackened salmon, no croutons, BG bowl and a side BG salad less pecans and cherries. $86.82 Their house bread is not warm, it reminds me of an airy focaccia. Their sun-dried tomato oil dip is quite delicious. The calamari is okay, a lot of tentacles than the rings, more zucchini filler than I would expect, not enough calamari rings. Left all of the small tentacles for my hubby, not for me. The crab Rangoon pouches are creamy. The Hawaiian chili sauce isn't my jam, it's not for me. Didn't work for the calamari or the crab Rangoon. The salmon on the Caesar was medium cooked or medium to well. It had to go back to the kitchen to get fully cooked. The Caesar salad was ok, although it had croutons, which we asked to not get any. The waitress and the manager both walked by and asked my husband if everything was ok. My husband nodded and said it's ok. Guess my opinion didn't matter? My waitress attempted to take my salad away from me twice before I was done with it. The BG bowl reminds me of a teriyaki sauce so much. We arrived on Sunday at 6PM. Given all the cars, I was expecting a wait ... I was mistaken, we were seated immediately. Service is prompt and attentive, without being obsequious. Tables are a bit close together; close enough that it was easy to eavesdrop on the surrounding tables, but not so close that there was any bump & grind by passing staffers. My "two napkin" cheeseburger was ordered medium and arrived well done, but sufficiently juicy. Good beefy flavor and the seasoning was spot-on. The veggies were fresh and crisp. The sauce was tasty and the amount was perfect. The (brioche?) bun was toasted and the American cheese was fully melted. It was indeed the two napkin burger that I had to finish with knife and fork when the bun fell apart. Next time I will order the sauce on the side. SWMBO order the Shrimp & scallops pasta. There was one lonely scallop, cut in half, among a sufficient quantity of shrimp. She liked the dish, but felt cheated re: the scallops. More scallops; or no scallops, and rename the dish. Enjoyed a Friday night dinner at Bernstein Grille. The restaurant was busy but we were seated quickly with a reservation. Our server was very nice and attentive. Fish and chips was very good with a very large piece of fish and delicious tartar sauce. The side salad was also a very good size. Signature soup was good but for me it was just missing the cheese. Another superb Yelp find! We were out and about running errands and decided to get some lunch. We decided on Benstein Grille. The ambiance - very quaint, yet eclectic vibe going on. There are separate areas for private gatherings. Restaurant was very clean and there is a full bar just in case you wanted to toss back a few while visiting. Food - excellent! Price - expected for gastropub environment. Service - our server was also taking care of a private party, so he was a bit distracted. Seemed like the servers worked as a team helping each other if needed. I wish we saved room for the carrot cake - next time! read more

I wish I had known about Benstein Grille *years* ago. The menu is varied and interesting. The bourbon list is among the most extensive and impressive I have seen anywhere. Our meal was excellent and our server was very knowledgeable. I opted for the salmon and my wife had one of the pasta dishes, modified to suit her vegan preferences. When my colleagues and clients are in town for trade shows, this will absolutely be top of the list for our dining venues. read more

Fantastic food at reasonable prices! Five of us dined and everyone raved about their food--1 pork chop, 1 sausage arrabbiata and 3 bronzed salmons. I had one of the salmons and the sauce is exceptional. All entrees came with sides. In addition to the entrees, there were two salads, a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, and two corkage charges for the two bottles of wine we brought. It was $199 prior to tax and tip. I have attached a photo of the receipt, 2 of the food, and a humorous photo of the photo that hangs over the urinal in the men's room. We like the interior and the patio seating area. Went last night to Benstein Grille. Our service was excellent and the meal was tasty. I had the onion soup, which was unique, and that it wasn't served in a crock. And instead of the cheese being melted on top, it was more of a patty. While it wasn't what I was expecting, I actually really enjoyed it. But definitely if you order this, don't be expecting the usual. And then I had the steak bite appetizer as my entrée. I am glad the server put the zip sauce on the side because it was quite salty. It was tasty, but definitely it would've been drowning in it if all the sauce was on top. I would definitely come back. It was busy, so I'm glad we had a reservation. Found this place because we got tired of our regular local spots. My favorite part of this place (besides our very attentive waitress) was the mocktails the had. I love going to places with mocktails so this was a beautiful surprise. The place had a beautiful decor and rustic look. Food- I unfortunately wasn't really a hit for me. It could have been the day or myself. But here is my personal experience. We had complimentary bread that I wasn't sure how I felt. It was like a yeast roll and biscuit mixed. It wasn't bad, but not 100% sure. I did order them twice because I couldn't decide if I loved them or not (if that makes sense). I think if they came with honey butter instead of the sun dried tomato oil dip, I would have said 100% loved it. I wasn't a fan of the chicken wings. I feel like they aren't fried with flour but more panko/breadcrumbs? They also were burnt. They have an Alabama bbq sauce which is white. I ordered steak and it was cooked a perfect medium which I did appreciate. However the outside was very very charred. It didn't have much flavor to it either probably due to the overcharring. The side green beans were so good. Might have been the best thing on my plate! The au gratin potatoes tasted more like ricotta cheese and potatoes so I wasn't a fan. Our table ordered the salmon which was said to be very good along with the mashed potatoes. I did try the mashed and I'm not quite fond of mashed. However, these were definitely delicious. The broccoli was ok, but green beans definitely better. The lamb chops were good, but the lamb was very small. Maybe I would give this place another try because I didn't get to try the salmon. I did enjoy most the side dishes too. But I would definitely go back for the mocktails and bread (I think I did like it haha). read more

We came here for dinner to start our anniversary weekend. We were going to check out the Glenlore Trails, so this was close and came well recommended. Given the condition of the parking lot on a Friday night at around 7:30 or so, I figured we were in for a good, long wait. We waited, maybe 5 minutes. . .could've been a fluke, but yay! We didn't really have to wait for anything, our server (I wish I could remember her name because she was awesome) was right there luckety split after we were seated, and got right on our drinks. She had a Blueberry Margarita, and I had a Domaine Old Fashioned. Both were good, but I would leave out the honey in the future. Jess advised us of the luncheon specials and brought our beverages immediately after we ordered them (diet soda $3.95). The menu is extensive and can be modified to fit customers taste. Wife ordered Harvest Sacchetti Pasta, without the Carmalized onions or wild blend nushrooms ($24.00). I ordered the Pit smoked brisket with glazed carrots and cheesy hash ($24.00). Food was served in a timely fashion. Very nice presentation (as shown on the website menu), ample serving size, correct temperature and as ordered. Jess was attentive without hovering. Drinks were refilled, satisfaction was verified, box was provided to take home. Bill was presented, correctly listed and easy to read. I ordered the signature fillet, and it was OK but I wouldn't say it's the best. It was medium, but the meat was a bit tough. The zip sauce was a bit on the salty side. The green beans were slightly tough. The mashed potatoes were just average. The service was friendly, but busy so didn't check on us much. I wanted a drink refill and never received it. Nice restaurant located a little bit off of the beaten path on Benstein rd in Commerce township. The restaurant itself has a cool contemporary vibe to it with high ceilings and exposed ducting and steel beams that come together to form a visually appealing dining environment. Plenty of tables with good spacing between them offering a degree of privacy/separation that is lacking in many of the restaurants in this area. Outside dining options are also available as well to include several Igloo's for colder weather dining. Relative to the menu it is definately more upscale than most of the establishments in the area with a nice assortment of starters, soups and salads with the entrees predominantly centered around steaks, pasta's, seafood, chicken, sandwiches and gluten free. Basically something for everyone with prices starting at $14 for the sandwiches to mid thirty dollar range for their steaks. Relative to Alcohol they have a limited wine selection and a large handcrafted cocktail menu that looks to be one of the strengths of this establishment and definately something to consider come summertime. For our meal which was our first at this establishment we had the steak bites, chicken sandwich and house seasoned fries where all the food was well prepared and good. The steak bites were the star of the meal and had tenderloin tips grilled to perfection (Pink in the middle not well done) with wild mushrooms, carmelized onions, gorgonzola crumbles topped with a zip sauce and served with artesian toast. Very tasty! The other key aspect of the meal was the service which was top notch. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful in directing us on the gluten free options for my grandson and had nice follow up throughout the meal. Overall a very nice restaurant that checks all the boxes with a nice upscale feel to it. Definately an excellent option if you are looking for someplace a little nicer to take your significant other too for a date nite! Wow, I just can't say enough about this place! We made a reservation for our anniversary on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated on the patio because it was a beautiful evening. This place is so nice inside and out! Oh and I can't forget the jams they had going! It's a whole vibe! So the manager brought us out a glass off delicious bubbly and told us to pick out a dessert to celebrate! How kind?! All of the food and drinks were absolutely wonderful, we had a hard time picking what to eat. I would highly recommend the seafood pasta if you're having a hard time picking too! Really good food! My wife & I had rib eye steak & lamb chops. She is extremely fussy about her steaks, so I was surprised when she pronounced it as "perfect!."
