One of the worst places I have unfortunately dined at. I've been wanting to come here for a while to try their food. I'm not a fan of bar food, but it's local so I love supporting local restaurants. We must have caught them when they were out of stock of everything. Ordered a pineapple mojito (mocktail) it was just pineapple juice and tonic water. They were out of all the ingredients for it. But still made the drink and wanted to charge for it. I told her no take it back. I wanted the fried pickles, but the table next to us got the last order. The server literally told them "bad news for everyone else, but good for them". Food was very low quality. My burger was very burnt and had no flavor to it. I wasn't a fan of the fries either, but that's a personal preference as I don't like "crispy fries". The chips were ok. They did not taste fresh. Waitress was nice though, no complaints besides if you know you're out of things let the customer know. They did have live music playing and I enjoyed the selection of songs he sang. The smash burger was nasty, very over cooked and literally less than 1 cm thick patty, burnt the poor patty. We ordered lots of food and it was the last thing to come out lol. I really sat on this re-review for a while, because I hate to be negative, so I let the experience sit with me for a week, and my opinion has not changed. I used to love this place. They had a literal book for beers from around the world you could try. I had some really great ones in the past. But sadly, they have not only reduced their food menu, their beer selection has diminished compared to the past. When there are so many other places in metro-detroit that offer a large amount of taps, cans, and bottles, there is a lot of competition for my patronage. The prices have also gone up tremendously for their food when there are also a lot of other and better choices right next to this restaurant. But the worst of my experience was the service, which was not friendly or pleasant. We came here on a pub crawl for St. Patrick's Day. They were not overly busy, so you would have thought the server would have been more welcoming to customers. They advertised specials online, but in person their prices were higher than advertised and they would not honor the online prices. They advertised mini beers that were an actual tiny shot of beer that turned out to be pricier than their actual full pours of beers. I have a family member that does not drink. I asked about mocktails and even though there is a full bar the server was very snide about it. I asked for them to put together one, and it came out different than what I ordered. When I asked to fix it to what I actually wanted the server had an attitude. They also charged me wrong, but I did not want to make a fuss, so I just went with it and left for the next stop. You would think with so many people who want a bar experience but do not want to drink they would have been more accommodating. Tuesday Trivia at Beerhead is such a good time! Beerhead is located in the West Oaks outdoor mall area, right next to Emagine Novi, which feels like a prime location! The food here is average, with the ginormous pretzel appetizer being a favorite among my trivia friend group that comes here. Everything else I've tried on their food menu has been very unremarkable. HH goes from 4-6 and pizzas are only $10 so definitely worth scooting over there real quick after work since it significantly brings down the price. Plus the pizzas are GREAT!!! Our bartender was pretty absent considering we were the only people in the restaurant but about an hour in, a coworker of hers took over and he gave us some trys of a beer or 2 and helped recommend something that fit our tastes. I've been here a few times and it always seems empty, even at a normal hour on the weekend which is weird but maybe speaks to the inconsistent reviews I see online. I highly recommend making a reservation if you have a large group! But request a table that isn't skinny....I felt like our table was so thin that we didn't have enough room for our food and drinks. I come here often mostly only for the Wednesday night karaoke and it's definitely one of my favorite places to grab some hard ciders and chill out. The service is either really great or totally sucks entirely which is what I don't like about it but overall it's a neat local place. They have a great selection of drinks on draft, I just wish they had more than 2-3 ciders on draft at a time and wish the food was better. Many times I've ordered food it's still partially frozen (like the fries) but oh well. Stick to the drinking and you're good. Drinks are a bit pricey but overall I like the venue and the older man who runs the karaoke is super friendly and cool. This place is so ungodly awful that it forced me out of a self induced retirement. Where to begin? The food is tepid. Uninspired. Throwaway McDonalds fries with premade frozen burger patties on their bbq bacon burger. A good beer list that was set up to fail by serving everything at 10 degrees warmer than what it should be. It's a beer bar! Get at least that right! But the icing on the cake was the service. Equal blame can be shared between "management", that I wouldn't hire to manage a lemonade stand and decided on two servers for 100 people, and the servers themselves who are completely lost. While polite, our female server, after taking 20 minutes to acknowledge our very presence, spent over 30% of our time in the restaurant camped out at the computer kiosk doing god knows what. Is she a programmer or a waitress? Or just order all your beers in "flight" size and take a chance. It's a lot of fun and you're not going to get a loser. They don't fry anything.. no fryer! The selection of drafts, bottled, and canned beer is almost overwhelming. We had a bbq chicken pizza and to be honest I could not believe it came out as quickly as it did and was fully cooked. I dislike undercooked pizza. I am not sure of the onion chopper skills in the kitchen though. The near raw chunks were quite big. Stumbled on this restaurant while looking for another business in the complex and happy we did! Nice open air bar which was clean and nice interior. Had a pizza which was great. They offer smaller flight drinks per glass so you can sample without a set number.
