Excellent breakfast joint located in downtown Milford. My five loaves signature omellet was well made, with fresh ingredients and very tasty. The generous amount of complementary ingredients included spinach, sweet red peppers, bacon and was topped with generous slices of fresh avocado's. Nice! Probably the only other thing I would have added if at all was some cheese inside the omellet which was an option if desired. Definately a superior omelet that is in the top tier of what is offered in this area. The omelet also came with a side of seasoned home fries which was equally as tasty in its own right where the seasoning really added a flavor pop to the potato's. Relative to facility and staff, the restaurant is clean and bright with basic decor where they let the food do the talking here. The staff is extremely friendly and good with kids where out large party included 8 unruly and slightly wild grandkids (: Inspite of my grandkids best efforts to turn the place upside down these folks were friendly and verrrry understanding throughout and I give them high marks for that. Overall if you are looking for a top tier breakfast place and you are in the Milford area than this is definately a business to check out. This may have been my first visit here but it definately will not be my last. read more

Five Loaves did a fantastic job on Mother's Day! It was my first time there and WOW I was blown away! The food was excellent!! I had the chorizo bowl with two eggs over easy on top. OMG it was the best breakfast bowl I've ever had! All the ingredients were fresh and full of flavor. The service was also excellent! Our server Franstina (sp?) was so kind and so apologetic for the wait. Their entire staff was very friendly and patient. I'm so happy we have another good breakfast spot in Milford. This is a new breakfast/lunch spot on the downtown Milford area and what a wonderful gem this is. Bright and cheery with real flowers on the table. We stopped in for a quick lunch bite and were not disappointed . I had the greens and feta salad with grilled chicken. The salad was a VERY generous portion with FRESH ingredients, no brown or wilted lettuce. It had thinly sliced beets. Kalmata olives, tomatoes, cucumbers and the grilled chicken was very well seasoned and not dry. My husband had the club sandwich and it had a generous portion of meat Unfortunately I forgot my phone so I couldn't take pictures. The staff is so friendly. I'm giving Five Loaves a five star for a lot of reasons but mainly the service which was exceptional. I had contacted them when they first opened via email to see if they could make a large reservation for my group. They responded right away and told me they would love to, but they had just opened and they needed to see how things were going since my reservation would be for a later date They told me to contact them back. When I did, they were more than helpful, allowing me to make my reservation for 24 people when we arrived we were able to be seated right away. It is not always possible to satisfy a large group is senior citizens but they were able to do it easily. They have a pretty diverse menu with choices for breakfast and lunch. I chose the French toast with banana and pecans. I didn't enjoy my selection although I probably would not order it again. I felt for the price point. It should've had more bananas and pecans on it other than that, the coffee was good. Everyone seemed to enjoy their selections most ordered the omelette with the avocado on top, can't remember the name but everyone left super happy. I had never been to Five Loaves and heard such good things about it. Unfortunately that was not my experience. we waited for close to 45 minutes for our food and when it came it was cold. Mom's French toast was good but her bacon was burnt. They did offer to remake it which I accepted but by then we had been here close to an hour and a half. I had to flag down the waitress twice for more coffee. She wasn't very attentive AT ALL. Maybe because I'm an older woman with a 95 year old mother? Ageism at its finest. read more

Very clean but rather chaotic during our visit. Took a while for the hostess to clear a dirty table for us. After that we had another lengthy wait for our waitress to appear. Once we ordered we waited over 30 minutes for our food. Fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. Coffee was very good. My husband ordered the blueberry pancakes, which were listed as fluffy, but arrived rather flat and not golden in color. The taste was OK though. Turkey sausage on the side was almost immediately cold. I had the western bowl. Poached eggs were perfectly cooked although the chop on the green pepper could've been smaller. I opted for a house made biscuit. The waitress suggested getting it griddled and buttered. Unfortunately, she forgot to bring it to me until I was more than halfway through my meal. If I ordered it again, I would probably not get it griddled. I think it affected the taste in a negative way. I would give it another try but would probably skip Saturday mornings. read more

She even gave extra cup of coffee to go We took latte and house coffee it was excellent. For food we took scrambled egg with chicken and vegetable omlete with potatoes, oh the potatoes were mouthwatering. And took waffles, which was not that great could have been better. Great hidden breakfast brunch restaurant on Main Street. Stopped there on our tandem bike. Nice selection on menu. Quite quaint with the vault in back to keep the coffee safe. The staff was extremely hospitable, and the food was all very fresh. Service was pretty quick. We left there quite filled and satisfied. Five Loaves is a great addition to Downtown Milford. Two times dining here. Service was fantastic, owner stopped by to chat. Food was great! Coffee excellent! Two suggestions- 1.) Please serve two pieces of toast, bake the cost of the second slice into your food costs. 2.) With a name like Five Loaves, you really should lean into serving killer bread. Partner with a local bakery or feature Zingerman's breads. An artisan breads basket & spreads would have aligned awesome with the restaurant theme of Five Loaves. Ambiance is clean and coffee vault is a killer feature. Definitely will enjoying breakfast here regularly. read more

Five Loaves is my favorite breakfast/lunch spot downtown Milford. I eat here regularly. Not only are the food and coffee drinks delicious and consistently good - they also provide many gluten free options much to my delight. Having celiac's disease, it's difficult to find tasty gluten free alternatives at most places. They do a great job providing the best GF options. Also, I must add, the restaurant was unexpectedly closed last Saturday due to the death of one of the owners. It was clearly stated on the sign on the door as being the reason. This is a very valid reason to close suddenly and I'm shocked that a previous review would complain that it wasn't posted on yelp or google that they were closed this day. Things happen. read more

Today was my first visit to this wonderful Milford spot! A friend and I were there around 12:00 and it was clear that the word is out on this cool place.
